damn, there's one thing that many people didn't notice when Phoenix first met Inga, when he took a good look at Phoenix, it was the first hint that he had a condition called prosopagnosia which was explored later in the game

Let's be honest here, if it wasn't for Gaspen Payne's hubris that led him to allow Wright to defend Ahlbi so that he could have his revenge, Phoenix would've just been thrown out of the courtroom and the story would've ended before it even started.

Hot take: This trilogy works so much better if you ignore Dual Destinies, or rather, consider it to be a side story/the start of an Athena-centric storyline and play it after 6. You cut out a confusing Apollo backstory, a lack of connections to Trucy, and a retcon on the Dark Age of the Law. Ema remains your detective throughout. You sideline Maya only for as long as is necessary. Winston remains the intro prosecutor in "California," and Gaspen is only there because it's Khura'in. Most importantly, the story remains chiefly focused on Apollo's ascension - Phoenix may be re-barred, but for the most part only really is practicing overseas in this game, and Apollo is still running the ship at home. The only significant issue is that Athena is there now, but that/she is a side note. 1-2-3-Rise-4-6 is my "Machete" order for the AA games, and (IMO) the optimal order in which to play the series, and it works pretty perfectly. If you want more, you can then play 5 afterwards.

I dont know one person who likes dual destinies. I do like DDs characters like Athena, Juniper etc, but yes your right, the story for that feels very disconnected, but thats really a problem with the whole trilogy because of the "No Spoiler" rule (which is dumb)

@@sebastianalvaradocolon5983 But the no spoiler rule has been handled fine in the past and maintained continuity. Trials and Tribulations is the best example of this IMO. We are told about the Redd White incident, the DL-6 incident, etc. and given the relevant backstory without being told exactly the resolution of the storyline or any particular case. I think an exception might have be made there in spoiling part of Morgan Fey's backstory, but I'm looking for that type of resolution to the Apollo/Trucy/Lamiroir/Khura'in story we have going now.

@@andrewspielberg2914 but the stories in the Phoenix Wright Trilogy still felt connected. The Apollo Justice Trilogy, especially Dual Destinies, feels completely disconnected from each other.

@@sebastianalvaradocolon5983 As someone who just finished Dual Destinies, it still shocks me how many people dislike it, let alone to the degrees that they do. While I agree that some of the writing felt stiff in areas, none of it was a dealbreaker for me.

Look for videos titled "Let's play", these usually have the commentary. "Walkthroughs" and "longplays" don't.
