I'm surprised nobody is talking about Godots first breakdown and seeing Mia living through Phoenix. That shit literally blew my mind. The moment I saw Mia and Phoenix point towards Godot it got me standing up staring at my screen in awe cause the execution of it is amazing and it's just a great way to conclude Mia's character.

It was obvious that Matt engarde was hiding something but having to work your way around defending a murderer who had leverage against you was a great change of pace

As much as I love how purely cathartic Engarde’s reaction to the Not Guilty plea is, going with the Guilty plea has always felt like the more natural way to wrap up the whole thing. - First of all, Engarde really is guilty, making a guilty plea the more obvious choice in that regard alone. - The overall ethics of leaving Engarde at De Killer’s mercy are debatable, but at least by pleading Guilty and ensuring Engarde stays safely locked up, Wright (and the player) can honestly say that there was nothing else that could be done for Engarde by that point, thus maintaining a clear conscience regardless of whether or not De Killer somehow eventually gets Engarde in the end. - Maya specifically WANTED Engarde to be convicted, even while knowing that she would die if he did so. So it simply felt right to grant her wish, especially since she was now safe and there was nothing to lose with a guilty verdict anymore. - After how hard the prosecution’s side and especially Edgeworth worked to find the truth (which by all accounts was on their side from the get-go) AND help Phoenix and company with the hostage situation at the same time, Edgeworth deserved to win this case in more ways than one. I know he doesn’t care about “winning” anymore, but it’s only fair to give credit where credit is due IMHO, and the Guilty plea felt like the best way of doing that in-game.

I am curious about Vee Dasquez's reactions in the flashback of Manuel's death. She genuinely acts horrified and really upset, despite not showing any sort of tenderness of caring at any other moment within the case. It makes me wonder, was she somehow romantically involved with Manuel? It would better explain her blackmail of Hammer, if partially it was a revenge thing for accidentally killing her lover. Sadly they never elaborate on this, it's just a one-off thing that comes from nowhere and is never mentioned again. I wonder if perhaps they originally planned more for Dee Vasquez's character and her motivations for blackmail but ran out of time? Damn they just had to make Armando hot btw, frick how is Mia (or me) supposed to concentrate when you've got THAT next to you? 😳And while I know Terry's death was a majorly traumatizing event for poor Mia, I feel like less talked about is how traumatizing that must've been for poor Edgeworth! I mean good lord, that was when he was still a rookie prosecutor, and he saw the defendant commit suicide right in front of the whole courtroom! And goddammit, that ending, I really hope Iris and Phoenix got together after that! 😭I know he goes to visit her in jail or says he will, I don't think she's ever mentioned again after that unfortunately...
