BlackWingsJet Phoenix and Edgeworth, 2 gud school friends, one's a lawyer, one's a prosecutor but both of them have the most epic ace attorney soundtracks
...Coming back a year later, are we gonna ignore the fact that Payne was sweating buckets when he heard Phoenix yell? As soon as he heard that, he knew he lost.
I've never understood the hate for this game. The middle two cases were weak (which does say a lot when the game is comprised of only four cases), but the new gameplay mechanics were great, the new additions to the main ensemble were awesome (Apollo, Trucy, Klavier), and it had arguably the best main villain in the series, as well as a particularly strong overarching plot. It definitely isn't the series' best game, but it certainly isn't the worst either.
Tbh,this would be the ultimate game if Ema and Gumshoe sided together as detectives,Pearl,Maya and Trucy work together to help Apollo, and yeah.New case 2 and 3 and everything will be good (Also no need to return edgeworth he has just too much ace attorney games around him)A new case 5,that shows phoenix getting his badge back and the trial after his "final" trial, just because it's not good to just have 4 cases.Imagine if the game ends with phoenix saying "Apollo,we have a new partner (athena) coming aboard".A hint to dual destinies.
@@queencancerous5332 wocky is one of my favorite characters and the case as a whole is really fun because of the kitaki family and guy eldoon so i dont understand the hate
It's a great epic moment for sure. It's just a shame that Apollo is almost completely undermined throughout this entire case which didn't help present him as a capable character for the player. I would have had this moment stay obviously, because nostalgia is really iconic when used at the correct time at the correct dosage. But afterwards, maintain Phoenix as a predominantly Mia Fey style support character to allow Apollo to more or less fully take down the villain. I assume this was one reason why the general fanbase didn't quickly gravitate towards Apollo as a character
I completely agree. In fact, I think the majority of AA4 should've been the player experiencing Apollo's journey without Phoenix. He starts off as a rookie, but is able to pull a few wins. We're introduced to the new cast, and we get to know Apollo well, in the same way we did Phoenix in the first game. Then we reach case 4. We go to court, like any other ordinary case. Kristoph says that we'll be able to defend our client pretty easily, and he's right. We're able to smash the prosecution's case within a couple of testimonies. Then our defendant says that they saw someone else at the scene of the crime, a pianist. The court quickly rushes off to grab the suspect. Once again, Kristoph says that this will easy, we'll be able to pick apart the new suspect's testimony very easily and save our client. The court ushers him in, and there stands Phoenix Wright. Of course, the players know him, but he means nothing to Apollo. He's just the guy who he'll use to save his client. From then on, Kristoph takes charge and accuses Phoenix. Apollo, seeing through the charade, will eventually realise that Phoenix is innocent and that he _must_ save him, even if it means not easily scoring his win for the first client. It shows the player that Apollo is an ace attorney in his own right, who will stand up for someone even if it means turning on his mentor, and potentially losing an easy victory. I probably wouldn't even had Phoenix's redemption until a hypothetical third Apollo Justice game. in AJ2, Apollo slowly starts to learn more about him, his history as an attorney and by game three, he's determined to seek justice for Phoenix. The players then like him even more because he's the character that saved our beloved protagonist of the original trilogy.
The sad thing is that they originally wanted it to be a game with mostly just the new cast. But their games weren't going to sell as well without pheonix on the cover. Many people were against a new cast being made from the get go, so if phoenix took a backseat there was a chance that portions of the fanbase would turn against the game. They only brought the of cast back due to negative reception by fans who just want to see Wright every game 😭. I love phoenix as much as the next AA fan, but even I can tell that the big role he plays in this game ruins etchings for the other characters slightly
@@MightyDoomerChannel objection 2001 is. In 2001 he rised from being a normal rookie. He defeated miles edgeworth, he defeated the God go prosecutors manfred von karma. Heck he finished the mysteries of dl-6 and sl-9 incidents and even made the police chief go to prison.
@@dudearnav It didn't feel satisfactory and it reaches its lowest point in farwell my turnabout It bc Phoenix didn't SPOILERS AHEAD like protecting a killer aka Matt Engarde
This bit was possibly my favorite in the game, its a shame someone ruined that fact that it happened for me, but I was expecting it in the last case not the first one :P
2012 is a remix of 2001, in the same sense 2013 and 2016 are remixes of 2004. During the Phoenix Wright trilogy, the Objection themes were simply courtroom music, much like Pursuit. From Apollo Justice onwards, they actually serve as each attorney's leitmotif, hence why Phoenix's is still a 2004 remix.
phoenix objection and theme of this objection are probably the best comeback in the whole series the whole phoenix line in this game seems to be interesting, I will expand my knowledge later
A little sad that they updated Phoenix's original voice in the new trilogy. I understand why they did it, but man, the new one doesn't hit the same as the old one.
@@TheDiamondCore I don't know what it is about the new voice, I just can't get used to it. I love the crunchiness of the original voice, it had so much more power and emotion to it
@@TheDiamondCoreironically, the soundbites for Phoenix from the original trilogy in Japanese stay the same for Phoenix, so we technically do have a choice…
Still disappointed of this game. Where's Maya? You telling me Phoenix at his lowest of lows and Maya isn't there? I can only imagine Maya running towards Phoenix the moment she hears he lost his badge. Phoenix had been there when Mia died, Maya was framed, Maya got abducted. She'd do the same for him
Maya jus understand that where she is with Phoenix, some shit definitely happens with her. That's why she just run away and never come back. Or, maybe she just doesn't know about how bad things are
Maya probably was with Phoenix after what happened but i really doubt she can just stay with him for 7 years, she still has her own life and the stuff of mediums
AAI:2 show both of them together as an easter egg. This case was set just a few week before Gramaye trial took place. Which mean that both of them are still together but Maya was unable to attend to the trial, probably due to her intensifying training as a spirit medium, especially as their master. My theory is that Phoenix force her out of his life after the trial to protect her. With how bad Phoenix life became at the time Apollo arrives, you could imagine how horrible things were when the news came out. Maya's family name were tainted already from DL-6 incident with her mother. While Misty may have been proven to not be a fraud, the stigma from that case is still around due to how long it took for the case to be solve. If she were to stick around, she would no doubt be ruin socially by "journalist" trying to spice up some scoop. Including her relationship with a fraud lawyer.
