A visit to the Johnson Space Center in Houston Texas in January 2024 included a trip to the Apollo Mission Control facility, the place where flight engineers and managers guided the Apollo missions to the moon. Part of the tour includes recreating the scene when the Lunar Landing Module of Apollo 11 was touching down on the moon, playing audio recordings of the moment, followed by audio and video of Neil Armstrong's first steps on the lunar surface. This video cuts those excerpts down to about 5 minutes, eliminating some dialogue without compromising the gravity (pun intended) of the moment. For those Americans fortunate enough to have watched this incredible moment on their home televisions to others not yet born and just learning about the Apollo missions, this short clip might resonate.

I believe it is the same location, faithfully restored and, we're told, now on the historic register.

They did a nice job with this -- thanks for the video! Did they restore it in the exact 3rd floor MOCR space where the original was, or is it setup somewhere else?
