This device to me is life changing. I calmer, sleep so good and just overall feeling well. I have long covid and ptsd. But i must say, this device is phenomenal.
I found your video while searching for reviews for the Apollo. It’s cost if significant for me and I have been doing a lot of research instead of just taking the leap. I really liked your video, it was very informative and brought up points I hadn’t heard in other reviews.
Here again to report back - Holy crap I just had the best nights sleep according to Oura since I bought the ring over 2 years ago. Highest HRV ever of 30, mine is usually 15-20. Plus over 20% deep sleep (1hr 30m) and I went in and out of deep all night, instead of just one 30m chunk at the start of sleep. I tried 2 changes I learned from your video: 1) Wore Apollo round my neck all day and ran the “Rest and relax” mode repeatedly (after which it needed a partial charge before bed) 2) Utilized the Apollo “schedule” function to run the “sleep” mode all night for 8 hours. Usually I just activate Sleep mode for 2 hours when I get into bed, and one or two times during the night when I wake up, if I remember. Last night it was running constantly. I was afraid it would wake me up every time it started running again, but it didn’t. I knew something was different when I woke up before even looking at Oura ring stats, because it took nearly two hours to get out of bed I was so groggy. Now mid-morning I’m calmer but more alert than usual, and way less tired. I have the same postviral Dysautonomia as you, so this is a significant change, Of course it’s just one night! I’m doing the same again today and let’s see. Thank you so much for the awesome tips!
That's soooooo great to hear! That scheduling feature is gold 👌 . I haven't been able to find a mode that helps me sleep yet, so I've been just wearing it all day and charging it at night. I'll see about restarting the nighttime experiments as well. I'm currently working with a Bioloop coach for sleep btw
@@HRVHackers have you tried the sleep mode on a very low setting? I chatted with one of the support reps, she started out at 7. Then slowly worked up from there. I started at 10. Now I have it set to 55 -- it took a year to slowly increase. Bioloop coach, now you gave me something new to research 🙂
Hmm I don't think I was using the lowest setting when I tried it. Will try starting tonight. For Bioloop I have 3 invites for people to skip the wait list and get a free month of coaching. After that it's $100/ month. Lmk if you are interested and I'll share the link. Where are you from btw?
@@HRVHackers see how a very low setting works for you. The sleep setting was overstimulating for me at first anything higher than 10. I’m in SoCal. I originally found you in Oura FB group, then we PM chatted one time. Thanks so much for your very kind offer, I’ll messenger you about that.
I used mine for 30 days straight, 4-7 hours a day following the exact instructions direct from Apollo and saw zero results. I tracked all my metrics with both my Oura and Biostrap, exported the respective data out to Excel spreadsheets and compared the month before to the month of Apollo. I saw no significant increase/decreases in any metric. I will admit the "wake up" program works, as something vibrating fast on the body is hard to ignore and will make you feel more alert. I think the product may work better for someone with severe anxiety, or other debilitating health issues. I'm relatively "normal" so the product didn't have of a celling to improve me to.
@@HRVHackers Yes - I was in communication with them. They're nice people. I would imagine for chronic pain it might be useful, as it could potentially distract your mind from the pain a little. Overall though, I had high hopes but saw little to no statistical variance in my biometric data after hours a day for a month.
My Apollo Neuro broke after 13 month of use and they were not flexible regarding their 1 year warranty coverage. $400 is extremely expensive for what is essentially a disposable device.
They would both be great for your needs. Probably try Apollo first since they are really working on improving people's sleep right now: share.apolloneuro.com/x/s3pd6Q
Any tips for someone who used it and got worse anxiety and caused insomnia? The first day I used it I had a great sleep and now I’m crashing late afternoon after a full day of anxiety and then having insomnia
I'm actually not sure if I had covid, mono, mold or something else. The symptoms can be very similar. For long covid there is lots of useful information in the Body Politic channel on Slack
I have just used your coupon codes to buy 2x apollo and poulsetto, as well as leif. Unfortunately, I suffer from long covid 19 symptoms. Fortunately, I am still able to study. How long did it take before you saw any results with Apollo?
I appreciate you using my referral codes brother. I would think that you would see some sort of increases in HRV be it acute or long term within 30 days for either product
It was really helping me! But now I can’t get it to connect, it keeps saying failed to connect and when I try and detach it it just says press the textured button to pair it and it does not pair! Pleaseee help!!!
Really interesting, I had no idea you could wear Apollo around your neck. Can you share a link to the necklace is it something you bought on Amazon? You hid it down your shirt pretty fast so I couldn’t see… have you removed the strap? Also you mentioned on the relaxation mode not feeling relaxed at all, what happened for you? I am only able to use it on relax mode during the day and sleep mode when I sleep. The other modes are way too stimulating and feel really unpleasant for me.
Greetings! The necklace is something I just had lying around from a different wearable, you can use any short necklace. But here is the one I use store.uprightpose.com/products/upright-necklace
The apollo strap just make it as small as possible and loop the necklace through it. Metal side of Apollo goes against your chest. I got the idea of how to do this from when I would use the Sensate device
The modes that don't work for me cause my hrv to drop which eventually leads to sweating and elevated heart rate, so I just don't use them. I pretty much exclusively use Rebuild Recover. HTH, cheers!
@@HRVHackers really appreciate all your advice here, thank you. It’s interesting how different modes impact different people. The one that helps you was one of the worst for me.
Will I instantly know which vibration intensity increases HRV when I use a device to monitor my HRV? Or is it something I monitor over time to understand which settings are optimal? Sorry very new to this all! Thanks :))
@@HRVHackers I figure worth trying before buying the others. I have to find something to work - living with this constant overwhelming anxiety is just not working at all
@@HRVHackers I haven’t but I’ll check it out. I do a lot of work like tapping, therapy, etc. but after the situation I’ve been in I know I need more help!
That happened to me at first too. I had to turn the intensity way down for the first several days. Within a couple of weeks I was up to full intensity even just to sleep. I can’t use the energy mode at all because it induces anxiety.
Does the schedule feature work on iOS? I had to return my Neuro because that feature straight up doesn't work on Android. Their support said they were working on it, but the device is near useless without it.
@@HRVHackers yes, in fact I've had to do that a couple of times due to Bluetooth no longer connecting (another annoyance, but nowhere near the inconvenience of scheduling not working). So you're using Android then? I wonder if it doesn't work on certain Android devices or Android OS versions. I'm using Pixel 3a on Android 12
