Thanks James. Setting aside the fact that we would be forced to repurchase plug-ins that we already own in order to upgrade, I feel that most of us don’t want to just hear/know how the Gen 2 units sounds. We want to hear/know how they sound compared directly(side by side) against the Gen 1 units. How much different does the coffee taste with 3 spoon fulls of sugar vs 2 spoon fulls of sugar 🤓. I also read that there’s “very little” difference in the X16 Gen 1 vs Gen 2 units. Maybe you can confirm that. A 2nd hand X16 Gen 1 might be the better purchase if you own external preamps? The Sonarworks implementation does seem interesting.
