So here is the first test of the Mx4200 definitely much better than the Kentec Syncro. There has been several other device changes such as the discovery sounder base which I got brand new and it's a lot better. I do apologise for not uploading in a month I've just been a bit busy.

For anyone’s wondering what is gonna happen for downstairs. I’m either going to have Aico radio link interface and XP95 Switch monitor, or Apollo Xpander. Let me know which you think i should choose. As it’s very unlikely I’d have wired devices downstairs.

I would definitely go with Apollo Xpander

I’ll go with xpander and I’ll get myself a wireless interface at some point.

@@Siobhan_OShea We don’t have a shed. Garage has a potential to be wired but most likely will be wireless.

@@Siobhan_OShea fair enough. Some sheds are crap anyway.

I really like the sound of the Apollo XP95 on High-low and also hi from the U.S.

It is quite interesting to see how the laws vary in different countries for fire warning systems. In the U.S, our main fire alarm panels are quite similar, however, our smoke detectors are usually separate from the devices that flash and make sound. Also, instead of using red beacon-type strobes, we use clear white strobes that are usually mounted on the wall, and clearly labeled FIRE. Our sounders (which we just call horns) also sound different. The code for a fire in the US is usually 3 1-second pulses of the horn, then 1 second of silence. This is quite different from the UK’s high/low signal. The only real downsides of the UK’s system that I can see is the lack of FIRE labeling on the beacon/strobe! And the fact that the call points push inward, where ours pull outward, making them harder to activate by leaning on them. A downside I see with the U.S. system is that it seems more complex to install due to having the smoke detector separate. Also, our call points (which we call pull stations) all seem to operate slightly differently. One particular model, the Fire-lite BG-12 has to be held inwards, then pulled downwards. Some people get confused and can’t activate them in an emergency.

Nice. I would recommend a stick with a smoker on top This would be a good idea to test smoke detectors like this Basically how it works is that you cover the smoke detector with the smoke thing then the smoke detector goes of Nice system though Im proud how apollo made their call points.

@fst1775 3 года назад
@@gamingwithwilliamyt1341 yeah I agree, I mainly use them for their aesthetics and have them in the main rooms. Discovery and xp95 was made in 1998 i believe. And you’ll be just fine for places that you don’t need a good looking detectors. Soteria was launched in 2016.

@@fst1775You are right, Discovery was made in 1998 and Series 90 preceded that. Soteria was launched in 2015-2016 but the Dimension series was just available over a year ago
