30:57 If Pharisees do believe in God, they would believe in Jesus. I forgot the passage but Jesus did say something about the sheep recognizing the shepherd's voice. And some Pharisees actually did recognize his voice.

I've always wondered, why believe anything in the Bible? Everything in it can be explained by people making up stories and then the church perpetuating these stories as truth. This way of explaining the Bible works for all other religions. You've got martyrs of Islam and miracles in Islam. I doubt any Christian thinks the martyrs of Islam died for the truth of Islam or that Mohammad really split the moon (A miracle). There isn't any good evidence for the Bible. The Bible is a bunch of claims propped up by an organization that made more claims we can't back.

The Arabic uses the past tense, as if that Day were already here, to help the reader/listener imagine how it will be. Some traditional commentators hold the view that this describes an actual event at the time of the Prophet, but it clearly refers to the end of the world. One of Mohammeds only 2 miracles hasn't happened yet

Inspiring philosophy is pretty much I believe the Bible unless the Bible doesn't seem to agree with current science, and then it's a narrative.

...you really have a stage full of people coming prepared to prosecute their own deity for an hour and a half. Like, yes. He's a monster, I agree. Y'all really fight to incriminate your own deity all the time and it's very weird.
