Shabir Ali admitted on camera that the palimpsest was erased and rewritten. He said that they always knew about the different Qurans with different words and meanings and Muslims are repeating what they've been told. I'm a Christian, but in a study years ago, I read "Islam for Dummies" and it talks about Mohammad going to either visit? live? with his 'uncle?' when his parents died and read the New and Old Testament and then went back to where he came from and tried to do his own thing - i.e. the Quran? The more and more I read the koran and watch videos like this, I understand that Muhammad was trying to transfer what he learned (from faulty sources of his day) from the Torah and Gospel. It was in his naivety that he didn't understand them or interpret them properly.

*PLEASE read If you are a Christian doing apologetics* I'm a Christian who is currently ministering to a Muslim friend and who has had interactions in the past with Muslims and, in order to be totally honest with Muslims you cannot say that nowhere in the Quran does it say that the Torah and the Gospel have been corrupted: Surah 5:13 "They (the Jews) distorted the words of the Scripture and neglected a portion of what they had been commanded to uphold." and, Surah 5:14 "And from those who say, “We are Christians,” We took their covenant, but they neglected a portion of what they had been commanded to uphold." So the Qur'an does say that the Jews corrupted the Torah, (although that is an absolute absurdity as evidenced by the Dead Sea Scrolls and their miraculous accuracy) but notice that the Qur'an does not say that the Gospel has been corrupted, but rather parts of the Christian nevelation have been "neglected." It is also extremely important at this point to note that within the same chapter that the Quran says the Jews have distorted the Scriptures, it absolutely upholds the preservation and authority of the same Scriptures ref. 5:44,47,68. Oh, the elegance and wisdom of the Quran...😉Make sure to point this out. Neglecting something and changing the words of the text are two different things. You have to know this because when a knowledgeable Muslim shows you these texts, your argument May completely be rendered useless. Understanding textual criticism, how we got our Bible and the manuscript tradition as well as understanding that Islam contradicts itself as Dr. Wood rightly states by affirming the authority, inspiration and preservation of the Old and New Testament is the way that will be most effective.

Bravo, David! The typical lay Muslim hasn't even read the Qur'an in a language he/she understands. Thus the average Muslim depends upon lying sheikhs and scholars of Islam to unpack the Qur'an. There's the problem: While the Qur'an AFFIRMS the previous scriptures, Islamic religious leaders assert that the earlier scriptures have been corrupted. It's a very foolish assertion. If the Qur'an affirms corrupted scriptures, then the Qur'an is false and cannot be from God. Yet if the Qur'an affirms the earlier scriptures as true, then the Qur'an is still false, because the Jewish and Christian scriptures flatly contradict what the Qur'an teaches. Islam loses either way.

With the mountains of evidence it can seem what holds people back is community and tradition. One would have to come to want to know the truth outside of these. I guess that's why the bible says when you seek me with all your heart you will find me. It sounds like islam suffers from the same problem many of those in Judaism or Christianity have, not reading and understanding their Book. Only one of them is His Word and we know which one it is, we need to plant the seeds of truth that only He can cause to grow, (Mar 4:26-29, Jhn 15:5, 1 Cor 3:7). Just like the Apocryphal books, their 37 different qurans contain some truth but far to much error to be counted as the truth, His Word, (2 Sam 22:31, Psa 18:30, Psa 119:160, Lu 21:33). All of them expose themselves in their errors as we know that God does not lie, (Num 23:19, Tit 1:2), and He does not change, (Mal 3:6a). He declares the end from the beginning, (Isa 46:10), validating the truth found only in Scripture, (2 Ti 3:16-17). Num 6:24-26 for you, yours, all those around you and all watching.

Do you ever discuss Judaism? Ive seen many Jewish rabbis who have said that Islam is a lot closer to Judaism than Christianity. A lot of Christians i think are suprised to know Judaism is not just the Bible without the New Testament, and have never heard of even the Kabbalah.

In this video, Mr. David has made false claims against the Quran and then mixes it with a bit of truth to claim that everything he said is true. So keep this statement in your mind while watching this video. So here is the rebuttal. @1:05- Mr. David claimed that the Imams and Sheikh tell the Muslims that the Bible is corrupted. But the Quran refers explicitly about the corruption of the scriptures. Refer to the Holy Quran 2.75 to 79. @ 1:55 Mr. David claimed that according to the Quran, the Bible is authoritative. Well, this is incorrect. The Quran never refers to the Bible as authority. In fact, the word "Bible" is nowhere to be found in the complete Quran. Further, the Quran explicitly mentions that it has authority over all the past scriptures, and one has to judge the truth using the Quran. Refer to 5.48. Hence, the self-destruct claim made by Mr. David is null & void as Quran never claimed the bible as authoritative. @2:55 Mr. David claimed that the Quran never hints that Torah and Injil (Gospel) were corrupted. Well, the Quran clearly distinct between the original Torah and Injil vs. the corrupted scriptures. Refer to 5.44 and 5.46 where the Torah and Injil are considered as guidance and also the same verse warns, not to exchange the verses for a small price. Exchange refers to the corruption by adding false analogies, deleting and hiding the true verses, and then later claim that this is from Allah (Lord). @3:15 Mr. David claimed that each nation was given a scripture as authority. Yes, this is true. Refer to 5.44 and 5.48. It means that people during the time of Moses will be judged by Allah (on the Judgment day) with the code/scripture revealed to Moses (Torah). The same applies with the Jesus era (Injil). However, the Quran is revealed for whole mankind and not just one group of people (Refer to 2.185). So @3:40 till 4:00 Mr. David claimed that as Arab needs a revelation , the Quran was revealed to them in Arabic. No where in the Quran does it say that Arab needs the revelation in Arabic. Mr. David is telling a blunt lie. Mr. David wants to prove that Quran is revealed to certain group who wants guidance in their own language (Arabic) hence, those Arabs can judge good/evil via Quran while others faiths will be judged with their own scriptures. Mr. David should know that the Scriptures revealed to the nations were for specific time and Quran is the last revelation that supersede all the previous revelations and scriptures. @ 4:20 So the real position of the Quran is that on the day of judgment, people will be judged based on the era in which such scripture was applicable. The Holy Quran supersede all the past scriptures and starting from the day when Allah declared that the faith has been completed and Allah has choose Islam as religion, from that day till the day of judgement, the Holy Quran will be used as a guidance. Mr. David assumes that Muslims are misinterpreting the Quran, but the fact is that Mr. David is making false claims and associating his falsehood with Muslims' understanding of the Quran. As mentioned earlier (See above 3:40 to 4:00), Mr. David is making a false statement. @ 6:00 Yes, the faith of the Muslims is that all the prophets are sent by Allah who gave the same message (To worship One Lord alone and do not associate any partners with Him) and also Muslims believe in all the revelations which were revealed to the prophets. @6:18 Mr. David is using the word "inspiration" of Torah and Gospel. Well, this is incorrect. Here, Mr. David smartly trying to prove that as Bible is considered as inspired word of God, hence he is using the word Inspiration of Torah and Gospel to illustrate that as Quran confirms the Torah and Injil, hence the inspiration of Torah and Gospel which is the Bible is also true. Quran neither confirms the Bible nor confirms the inspiration of Torah and Injil. No where in the Quran does it say that the inspiration of Torah and Injil is true. Mr. David is bluntly making a false claim. @6:55 Mr. David claimed that not according to the Quran, the Jews and Christians corrupted the Torah and Injil and later @7:05 Mr. David claimed that Quran confirms the preservation of Torah and Injil, and further to prove his point, Mr. David @ 8:15 claimed that the Quran is verifying the books (Torah and Injil) as verified as they were revealed. Well, this is incorrect. Here, the Quran is confirming the revelation of Torah and Injil to Moses and Jesus as truth as an event that happened in the past when those books were actually revealed to those prophets. The Quran is not explicitly confirming the preservation of those books as revelation of the scripture and its preservation are two separate things and not the same. Between the hands, in its presence, refers to era or time in which Torah and Injil were actually revealed. This does not mean that between the hands refer to the scriptures in hand at the time of Muhammad PBUH. @8:38 Mr. David is quoting the explanation made by Muhammad Asad related to Quran 3.3-4 and @ 10:38 according Mr. David, Muhammad Asad is confirming that at the time when the Quran was revealed, the Torah and Gospel were corrupted. Again, this is incorrect and twisting of fact. Mr. David has actually not quoted the complete explanation, rather Mr. David has taken the first half of the explanation and ignored the other part. So here is the part which Mr. David intentionally ignored it. "Now this, taken together (a) with the fact - frequently stressed in the Qur'an and since established by objective scholarship - that in the course of the millennia the Bible has been subjected to considerable and often arbitrary alteration, and (b) with the fact that many of the laws enunciated in the Qur'an differ from the laws of the Bible, brings us forcibly to the conclusion that the "confirmation" of the latter by the Qur'an can refer only to the basic truths still discernible in the Bible, and not to its time-bound legislation or to its present text - in other words, a confirmation of whatever was extant of its basic teachings at the time of the revelation of the Qur'an: and it is this that the phrase ma bayna yadayhi expresses in this context as well as in 5:46 and 48 or in 61:6 (where it refers to Jesus' confirming the truth of "whatever there still remained [i.e., in his lifetime] of the Torah"). Mr. Asad never claimed that Torah and Injil, which were before the Quran and at the time of the Quran they were corrupted, rather Mr. Asad explained that when the Quran was revealed, during that time, the bible was already been altered and the Quran can only refer to the basic truths which were still left in the Bible which coincide with the Quran. Similarly, Jesus, during his time, also confirmed whatever remained left as truth of the Torah. So Mr. David, as usual, skillfully accepts one part of the explanation and ignores the other part. @10:45 Hence between the hands refers to the part of the verses in the Bible that still hold some truth as mentioned in the Torah, but it does not meant that the whole bible which people were holding in their hands in the 7th century was true. So the Quran is confirming the original Torah and Injil, which was revealed to Moses and Jesus. The Quran also refers to those parts (not complete bible) of the scripture in hand as true, which were present in the original Torah and Injil. Further, this also means that when Jews came to Muhammad PBUH asking to judge an issue for which they desire a lesser or different punishment, at that time, Muhammad PBUH questioned them that what is mentioned in the your Torah, which means that those Jews were holding a verse from the book in their hands that was similar to the verse in the original Torah. Refer to 5.43 @12:44 Mr. David claimed that the Quran is confirming that the part of the Torah and Injil is reliable, which mentions the Muhammad PBUH, and the rest is corrupted. Again, another lie. The Quran never claimed that Torah and Injil are corrupted. Rather, the Quran said that the people of the book wrote with their own hands a Scripture and claimed that this is from Allah. @13:13 Mr. David claimed that Allah is saying that no one can change the words of Allah and no where it says that Allah claimed that no one can change the words in the Quran. So again, another misinterpretation. When the verses are referring to the Quran (The Book of Truth) therefore, the words are part of the Quran, therefore, it is implied that Allah is referring to the Quran where the words cannot be changed. Further, it also refers that people who have wrote the scripture from their own hands and the original message was lost, the Quran restore the message that was present in the original scriptures (Torah and Injil) and hence Allah's words cannot be changed. Therefore, anyone who desires to change the words of Allah, then Allah will protect His words, and this is done by Allah through the Quran, which is perfectly preserved. @30:38 Mr. David claimed that the Quran is not referring to change of written bible (scripture) but only people back then use their tongues to change its meanings while the bible remained unchanged. Again another lie. Refer to 2.79 where Quran clearly mentioned that the people write the scriptures from their own hands and say that this is from Allah. The remaining video he repeats the same lies for which I already exposed above. Jesus is not God. He is not just a prophet either. He is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God and the second Adam. Luke 1:35 tells us who Jesus is and why he is the Son of God. It’s funny how protestants reject Catholic dogmas and call them heretical. But still blindly follows the trinity. A doctrine that is both unbiblical and so complicated it makes no sense to be Sola Scriptura. We have been fooled. If the trinity is true shouldn’t there be very clear conclusive biblical evidence to justify changing the identity of God and what his nature is? When you have to add verses and change scripture in order to justify your doctrine you have a weak case. The trinity is the worst thing that happend to Christianity. It fractures us not being able to agree on the complicated questions it raises, it sets up a barrier for others to convert, it turns God into a baby who needed his diaper changed.
