APOLOGIA HEALTH & NUTRITION FLIP THROUGH||HIGHSCHOOL HOMESCHOOL CURRICULUM 

We are working on module 3 right now. My 16 year old keeps showing me the projects he is supposed to perform to which I state, "You can pass this one up." That's been almost all of the projects for module 3 so far. Write about (and create a chart) on a hard decision you had to make (he's laid up with a hand injury), contact a caregiver to a person with dementia (not going to happen), write about emotional manipulation, etc. He was looking forward to this curriculum because he's big into health and fitness, but the deeper we go into "touchy-feely" land the more he's getting turned off. I'm really considering skipping those modules for the ones on strictly health and nutrition (starting at about module 5).

Christian Book’s website has such a wide variety of items on it. I really enjoy purchasing materials there. 👍

This a great course, but mature. Really best for about 10th grade and up. Obviously up to you, but it pairs perfectly with the year you do biology, too. We loved this course! :)

I also got this course for my 8th grader. It will be our first time using Apologia as well. Excited to try it out! I didn't know 8th graders could earn high school credit. I'm curious what your thoughts are on the BJU science. I'm struggling with a science curriculum for this year for her

We love Apologia! We used the General Science and Space Science this last school year. I like the way the lessons are set up. My son will use Apologia Biology and Health and Nutrition in the fall.

I was thinking to do this with my 9th and 10th grader this year but I do struggle with textbook style. We've used apologia sciences in younger grades. Its definitely rigorous!

Wow, I am impressed! I actually was the least interested in this piece of curriculum when you showed it in the prior curriculum videos, but now that I’ve seen this- it seems pretty great! I have a couple years before I’ll need this but I will definitely keep it in the back of my mind! Thank you for sharing!!

Absolutely love Apologia sciences, and I totally agree about the student notebook. When/if your daughter does Biology, I’d highly suggest Apologia’s. It’s amazing. Apologia is the only science my daughter will do, she loves it 😊

This looks great! We are doing Apologia science (the elementary level) for the first time this year and I’m really excited about it!

I have this curriculum and using it with my 9th grader alongside Apologia Biology since that's what they recommend. 😊

My 7th grade son tried Apologia's Genera Science course this year and LOVED It! He is a reluctant reader and writer and it kept his interest and he worked on it 90% independently :D I have been looking at this for his Health elective for Grade 8- too soon? Recommended age is high school so I've been wondering :P

Hi Ashlee .....Love your videos as always. I came across this amazing poetry book this weekend and thought of you. My kids love it. We use it each morning after bible and history while still sitting on the sofa. It is " Sing A Song of Seasons, A nature poem for each day of the year." I got ours on Amazon used for under $10. It is a huge hardcover book. I think your kids will love it. Best Regards , Valerie
