I have been looking at Apologia's science courses for this next year and they look so good! I have 6 boys and they are all about hands-on activities and experiments! 😆 Thanks for the video! ❤
I tried using Apologia science on my own and struggled maybe because I started with Earth Science. The kids now use it at co-op and love the hands-on approach. I preordered the zoology 2 and it looks beautiful should arrive by end of May
Do you think its critical to present the entire elementary science curriculum in order? We are completely new to Apologia and I have a 3rd and 1st grader. I went to go order via phone with them, and they were suggesting the Astronomy since is Day 1 of creation. I was going to order Earth Science originally, but with her opinions on things, I just don't know now! She also said if the first grader doesn't understand the general idea of city, state, country, continent- then some of the lessons may not 'stick'. Your thoughts? I asked my kid's about what they want to study and now its a tie between zoology, earth science, and botany! Basically I am all over the place on which one to start with.
I suggest going with what you and your kids are interested in most currently. However, the Chemistry and Anatomy books are much more challenging and I would save them for upper elementary/early middle school years!
Loved this video so much! I’m planning to you use apologia for the first time next year. I have a 6th and 7th grader who don’t necessarily love science. Is there a course you would recommend? Thank you ❤️
sorry if i missed it but where do we buy the kits? i looked at the supply list on their website and some I'm not sure I want to buy because it comes in bulk and we need one or 2 and then I saw a cricket or something like that in another lesson (we will be skipping that experiment because Mama has a fear of bugs and doesn't want to pass out) but the rest seems fun :)
