I am just so curious your school routines? How you fit all this in? I LOVE so many of your choices but struggle figuring out how to get so many good things in.. would live a video on this!!
What I love about IEW is how systematic its progression through the levels is, specially for not being a native english speaker family. Thanks for shating!
I would use this giveaway to purchase fix it grammar and other curriculum. This is our very first year homeschooling and excited but also nervous…..this curriculum seems very thorough but user friendly and something my son would love :) ❤️
We love Mr pudwea too! Love his dad jokes and we’re hooked after the first lesson. My daughter loved watching the lessons and really excelled in her writing last year. I would love to buy the next level of structure and style and fix it grammar. $100 gift would be so awesome!
I have been seeing many videos about IEW lately. I bought this year curriculum early March but I’m really thinking about switching this year versus waiting until next year. Want to try Fix it Grammar, IEW video based and phonetic zoo for spelling. I love that the writing is broken down instead of like the curriculum we use now just expect you to know how to come up with a descriptive sentence without actually teaching that. Glad I found your channel to follow now! You really explained how/why you liked the program instead of just saying it’s just great lol
Do you think its critical to present the entire elementary science curriculum in order? We are completely new to Apologia and I have a 3rd and 1st grader. I went to go order via phone with them, and they were suggesting the Astronomy since is Day 1 of creation. I was going to order Earth Science originally, but with her opinions on things, I just don't know now! She also said if the first grader doesn't understand the general idea of city, state, country, continent- then some of the lessons may not 'stick'. Your thoughts? I asked my kid's about what they want to study and now its a tie between zoology, earth science, and botany! Basically I am all over the place on which one to start with.
I suggest going with what you and your kids are interested in most currently. However, the Chemistry and Anatomy books are much more challenging and I would save them for upper elementary/early middle school years!
I have Littles right now, but already know IEW will be part of our homeschool journey. I'm looking forward to Fix It Grammar and the themed writing units.
I got to hear Andrew Pudewa a GHC in OH and loved what he had to say... Isn't there a prep course to teach parents to use IEW? Did you use that? Is it necessary?
There is a video course for teachers! However, I have never used it. I have watched the student videos with my kids over the years, and it has been sufficient for me.
We are excited to start IEW Structure and Style and Fix it Grammar this year with my rising 4th grader. I have heard Andrew Pudewa speak at many homeschool conventions
I didn't realize IEW had stuff for younger learners. I thought it was older elementary/middle school to high school. I would definitely try out structure and style.
I’ve been interested in IEW for a while, so this was a very helpful overview to better understand benefits and progression of the different courses. Thank you!
What I like about iew is Andrew Pudewa. 😂 love his dad jokes and in the samples of structure and style he is so engaging. We are going to do fix it grammar this year, but I do want to eventually add in structure and style with the video streaming.
The only IEW I have used is Bible Heroes when my son was younger, and it was pretty good. I've been wanting to get Structure and Style, but the price makes me hesitate. I would use the credit towards buying it or getting Fix-it-Grammar.
Oh how wonderful, I have looked at IEW many times and cost is definitely one reason I have been hesitant. The other reason is time. How about long would you your children spend per week completing it? It just seems like a lot
Thank you for sharing this information! It's very helpful. I recently have been researching IEW, but have been a little overwhelmed by all of the options, and am not sure where to start. I plan to buy the 1st level of Fix it Grammar for my daughter, and want to get something in for writing as well. I'm excited to try it out!
I can't say what I love about IEW as I have never used it, however, I am very interested in it and have been looking into Fix It for my 7th grader. Your recent video was very helpful in helping me understand how it works! I will definitely be looking into the other products as well and look forward to more great content from you. Thank you!❤
Thank you for sharing this! ❤ I've been eyeing IEW, but a bit intimidated like you said, looks like a lot 🫣 I will do more research on what is offered! 🤗
I have been looking into this! My son is getting ready to start more grammar and writing and I’ve heard great things! This makes me excited for exploring IEW to help my son succeed in writing/grammar!
We used IEW last year and we loved it. It really helped my daughter who is a reluctant writer. We would love to try the public speaking for her high school course next year. Thank you for this giveaway.
We have used Fix-It Grammar and love it. I would love to dip our toes into IEW. I’ve heard such great things! It just hasn’t been in our budget so winning would truly be appreciated. 🩷
What a great giveaway! We're starting homeschool in 2 weeks and it'll be our first time using IEW's Fix It Grammar. I'm very excited to see how it goes for my kids!
I am on the hunt for a writing curriculum for my 3rd grader and am leaning towards IEW. I’m not sure where to start but I’m exploring their website! Thanks for your insight!
What an awesome giveaway! We started using Structure and Style 1A this year (along with Fix it Grammar & Phonetic Zoo) and my daughter absolutely loves it! I would love to purchase the next level for her.
Wow! That's an amazing giveaway and a beautiful blessing to whoever wins. I have my oldest using the videos for level 1, but would be thrilled to try out the themed books for my middle son who has shown more interest in this direction (just not in the budget... story of our lives as homeschool moms right 😅) IEW is amazing! Newer to us, but the ease of using this sells itself! Mr. Pudwea is the icing on the cake to make the lessons enjoyable and fun for my son. ❤
I’ve been wanting to try IEW for a few years!we really like our reading program so I haven’t changed because of that but my 4th grader struggles with good writing skills. My question is if you already have a reading program what IEW would you suggest to add in?
