Welcome to Red Bull Pindrop: Las Vegas - Project L Afterhours. The FGC's best are getting their hands on Project L for the first time and are here to play it, test it, and push it to its limits.
The movement, the size of the stage and everything makes this game feel and look so good. The fact that the stages are as big as they are really let people express their skill through movement as well.
I find it suffocating (prefer a lil zoomed out camera) and animations stiff (especially camera movement), characters floaty noticble when running, hitstop is looong! Basically I want it smoove and snappy like GG and anime fighters, so I demand! 😠
@@jurjani_vii Nah its more of a DBFZ based fighters, and just being honest GG fighting games are less looked at by the majority of the fighting game community because it simply isn't easy to learn and also is not that satisfying. Opposite of newer fighters like SF6 that have changed their game by adding a mechanic to make moves easier to connect and also more fun. So hopefully it comes out as more of a mix between DBFZ and new gen SF.
@@lmaomaxx he is right about the stiff animations and floatiness of the game overall tho. It doesn't look nearly as good as arc sys games (which they are trying to imitate with the artstyle)
@@10Edguy Of course they are imitating ArcSys games it's evident, but I believe the stiffness is just mostly due to it being in alpha stage, they simply have to add more animated frames, I think the direction it's going is very strong because it seems like it is going to be a better DBFZ, easy to learn. hard to master.
@@khaosleigon504it’s riot bro, they are consistent as hell with creating games that dominate the scene for the genre they’re in. I would be so suprised if it flopped
People don't stick around long enough if they aren't Fighting game fans unfortunatly. Especially since it's F2P I have concerns they're shooting themselves in the foot by not having a way to make money on launch
@@FlyingRacoon-up5ms I have played all of Riots IPs yes they're gonna get alot of players flocking to it because of the brand and characters. Fighting are are however notorious for massive drop offs in playerbases because most people don't like that you get clapped by people so hard if they're better and that you need to invest a decent amount of time into them to be even half ok. Look at street fighter 6 one of the more accessable games and biggest IP drops in years the game was a slam dunk and yet it's still has less then half of their launch players still interested.
@Doseqies Big drop offs are to be expected for any game. Riot games is an extremely rare case where they'll keep their games alive regardless if they are making money or not (like legends of runeterra where that game is 100% running on a loss for the way it handles f2p) I think with project L, the fact you can play with another person will help the game ALOT, and I know for sure that when the game drops in beta or whenever it's playable online, I'll be running duos with my fiance and my friends who aren't as familiar as me in fighting games. I feel like we should see how it goes, but drop offs are expected and shouldn't be a verdict for how a game will do.
Man, you can do some seriously cool stuff, it does give me slight heritage for the future flashbacks when they manage to get their assist behind their opponent and go to town. Horrifying but fun stuff
At our BlazBlue tournament at Evo awhile back ran by Xie, ApologyMan got diarrhea and missed his game and got disqualified. We all called him DiarrheaMan for awhile in SoCal. I think this was before Kizzie played with us at Super Arcade. Good times
I hope they update some sound effects and make it so specials match the stage back ground rather than corny blue background. Aside from that very excited for the game
well it's in early development phase so it can still improve a lot it'll still take some time to release they want to release with like 14 champions, they have 4 champions made, + 2 champions ending development, that's 6 out of the 14 planned roster
@@symphonixblades ONLY 14?! What the fuck they have like 200 champions to choose from. That's honestly really upsetting. I was hoping for a Smash Brothers level of roster
@@AHHHb0bSaggot it's a free to play game it'll have free updates with more champions AFTER release. But for release roster they want at least 14 champions, release game, keep updating it with stages and champions and skins I guess
This is just 4 characters and it's looking already so complex that even experienced players drop combos and make unforced errors. I think the 2v2 tournament is just too amazing to watch.
Are games like mk or sf more complex or something cause I see tekken 7 to be more basic compared to what I see on other fighting games in yt. Tho tekken is the only one I have played so far.
@@princeofgames6802 makes the game more accessible to casual players. Helps bring new people to the genre since it's "simple". But the deeper you go, the more mechanics are there.
For anyone trying to get into esports and become either an esports player or streamer, this game will open doors so take advantage of that and grind this when it comes out. The potential is there, it’s just a matter of Riot executing and hoping they don’t mess it up lol
Dude I already can see every one from different fighting games will come play this game. All pro players from DBFZ Blazblue Marvel vs capcom Street fighter Mortal Kombat etc
I had an absolute blast playing yasuo back then with the old rune system. Starting with a brawler glove I had 56% crit chance, it stole countless games😂. Haven't touched LOL in almost a decade tho. Used to main oriana and thresh mid
If I can save one esports kid with this comment it was worth it: a day will come when you meet a girl that you like a lot. You will pretend you don’t play games much so she likes you. Don’t do it… be honest up front. If you set that expectation early, you could be facing a lifetime of being treated like a loser for playing games. I’m in my mid thirties and it’s torture watching my long time gamer friends act they aren’t playing because they don’t want to when really they’re chained. I have a girlfriend but she doesn’t get upset because I told her on day one I like games. Be honest mah man. Save yourself years of hardship.
Only thing I'm disappointed by is my favorite champions will likely never get into this game (Aurelion Sol, Swain, Tahm Kench, Ornn, Fiddlesticks,Ivern, Vel'Koz , Yorick and Urgot)
The movment speed doesnt seem quite right. looks a litle bit slow and unnatural especially caracters falling after geting hit on air , they looks like puppets , movments Isnt flowing naturally I dont know how to explain ... and the particles looks a little bit too overwhelming, but overall Its almost there.....
I love fgc but i've been a "riot player" way before being involve in the fgc and as much as i love the fgc i hope Riot makes their own tournaments and keep the "main events" to earn like points to make it into their main tournament... sort of what dbfz or MK11 did... riot knows how to make a tournament hype af with stage, show, casters so i hope they keep that for this game so the companies and to's of the fgc up their game (AND PUT MORE MONEY FOR THE PLAYERS)
Dont care of the game is good or bad, i just know it will be the most played FG just because riot made it. And well get to see more amazing or better new fighting gsmes.
it's still in early development so it can improve until release, but I disagree with your comment, I think the effects look good for a game in early development
@@AppleBaron loool ok? whats that got to do with what i said XD The shape of the earth has already been proven so its fact , you liking a game or not is an opinion there is no correct answer
@@Sang-Drax I think they have to apply an added effect and make it look like a hard-hitting move. But I can agree with that. You'd think that the game lagged a bit whenever that happened.
Never been a fan of tag teaming in fg. Might try it out since its new, but I doubt it'll amount to anything significant for me. Better to focus on real fighting games
Never seen a tag with 4 player but this probably either in the forgot area or just 16 player per day. Looks seriously punishing for all player. The fact that it need 2 to control both just nah. Can imagine a pro player leaving after match with literally dumb guy that force switch and lose. If it one on one then it get attention on ranking.
this looks already better than Street Fighter 6 in early development that game in early development looked ugly and now it looks good. Early development means the game is far from being finished.
