In 1988 I was drinking a fifth of alcohol a day . I knew that there was more to life than I realized but I didn't know what it was . I had a wonderful girlfriend , we raced motorcycles , we went to bluegrass festivals and did whatever we wanted to do . I realized that I had everything the world said was happiness but I felt something important was missing and I didn't know what it was. I tried scientology , all kinds of yoga, martial arts and various other disciplines but nothing satisfied me . One Sunday morning I came home drunk in a taxicab and waiting outside of my house was a man who was giving my roommate a ride to church. I had gone to alcoholics anonymous for six months and they helped me a lot but I had gone back to drinking .He invited me to sit in his car and talk. He asked me if I wanted a bible study. I said I would love to have a bible study . He came on Monday nights the only night of the week that I didn't drink. It was a 12 week bible study that went from Genesis to Revelation. He showed me in the book of Acts ( Acts 2:38 ) where it said repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sin and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost . I said I'd never seen that in the bible and I wanted to get baptized in Jesus' name and receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. I got baptized in Jesus' name and prayed for two months to get the Holy Ghost. The night that I got the Holy Ghost I was praying and I started to talk in tongues , I felt wonderful and GOD delivered me from the spirit of alcohol . I have never wanted to drink since then and I praise GOD for that.. The man who gave me the twelve week bible study taught me a ' GODHEAD ' bible study twice but i didn't understand the oneness of God or the trinity . I was reading the bible one day and read Ephesians 4 : 5-6 that i had previously highlighted in my bible . God gave me the revelation of oneness . ' ONE LORD , ONE FAITH , ONE BAPTISM , ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL , WHO IS ABOVE ALL , AND THROUGH ALL ,AND IN YOU ALL !THANK YOU FOR READING THIS !

George Swope Hallelujah! Thank you Jesus for saving Mr. Swope from this untoward generation. All things happen through Jesus Christ. He died on that cross for us, that we may be saved one day. However, that can only happen if he opens our eyes to his word. So many people are blind to what the word says. Many are called but few are chosen. I'm forever grateful and thankful for the Lord Jesus Christ seeing something in me that others didn't and saving me. I pray that you're still believing and keeping the faith in the one and only who can get you through ANYTHING. THANK YOU JESUS, HALLELUJAH!!

I was raise a Catholic until I read the Bible then I got baptized in Father,Son,Holy Spirit, when I finish reading the gospels then I came to acts and see baptism in the name of Jesus,so I called one of my friends and asked why did we get baptized different than what the discples said all in Jesus name, He said well the Jew's already knew the Father and the Spirit,so they needed Jesus,,but we the gentiles need all three, Father,Son,Holy Spirit,,that did not sound right, only thing different from Catholic's is that we have no statues and Mary to pray to, Then a few years later some old friends came over and we had a debate about the Trinity ,what I saw in the old testament and compared the NIV to the KJV I didn't want to believe but I saw the oneness of God,for ,6 weeks I studied to prove the Trinity but I could not do it. God showed me that He is only 1 by Himself,alone nobody on His side and He is the Servant in Isaiah. 43:10 and from gen to rev. there is only 1 God,, then I saw the baptism in the name of Jesus and got baptized in His name,,,God showed me about 80% of the One God scriptures before I saw a CD on The Oneness of God.... my problem was that I only read the new test. start with from old and compare to the new test..and you will see that there is only One God ,

Am not Pentecostal but am totally Monotheist.Mr Bernard have received a special grace from God to understand the real God of Scripture.This is a blessing from heaven.My hope for his future and for all Oneness, is that God give them also the understanding of the Scriptural baptism in the Spirit. And I hoping also that they understand (if they don't) all the Sovereign graces all the Sovereign Will and all the Sovereign authority of the Almighty.

This Truth can Only come by recieving it from God Himself. Thank You Mr. Bernard. Your books and teachings have confirmed things tgat God showed me without hearing it from a preacher. Truth it is!

+joyinjesus YHWH is ONE yes, he got it right, however the Almighty's name is NOT 'God' God is not a name, and neither is 'Lord' These are titles, not names. YHWH is His Name. Further, Jesus, is not the name of the Messiah, the letter 'J' did not even come into existence until 400 years ago, and Jesus is not an Aramaic or Hebrew name. Look it up folks, do some digging as to where the name Jesus comes from and why the NAME of your Creator was removed from your Bible texts and replaced with titles God and Lord! This is part of the 10 commandments about taking His name in vain. It means to blot out His name..and the false scribes have endeavored to BLOT out the Name of YHWH!!

“every tongue shall confess” that He is God. Haha I am nit picky about words from the KJV, even the NKJV bc His word is on my heart, therefore telling me 🛑. This is the only sermon I have heard from him, but sounds as solid as I heard growing up in an old Freewill Baptist church many decades ago. Thank you very much for sharing bc yes, as a follower of Jesus Christ, I understand that Jesus Christ my Savior, God His Father & the Holy Ghost (my roommate, ghost of Jesus) are definitely One, just as water, ice & steam are One. Of course Jesus was born to Mary as human, a living sacrifice.😢 As a mother, I have prayed for God not to allow my son to go before me bc I am selfish in that human way. Yet, when I almost died, I prayed for God to allow me to stay when seeing the pain of loss on his face (I have lost both parents). This is an old sermon, but I am an old woman who enjoyed it. ~

See also our website www.BibleQuery.org (see the section on the "Trinity" & our newsletters on "The Trinity" & "Oneness Pentecostals"). Questions to Ask Oneness Pentecostals Concerning Their Heretical Beliefs: 1. Is Jesus His own Father? 2. If Jesus' will and the Father's will were identical, then why did Jesus express the desire to escape the cup but resigns Himself not to His own will but the will of the Father? 3. Was Jesus praying to Himself in the Garden of Gethsemane? 4. If Jesus was praying to the divine side of Himself, then isn't He still praying to Himself? 5. Why was Jesus not saying, "Not My will, but MY will be done?" if there is only one person and one will involved when He was praying in Luke 22:42 & Matt. 26:39. 6. If baptism is essential for salvation, then what happens to someone who repents of sin, accepts Jesus as Savior, walks across the street to get baptized but is killed by a car. Does he go to heaven or hell? If he goes to heaven, then baptism isn't a requirement is it? If he goes to hell, then faith in Christ isn't sufficient to save him is it? 7. Since the Bible teaches us that Jesus is in bodily form now (Col. 2:9), then how does the Oneness Pentecostal person maintain that God is in the form of the Holy Spirit? Also, when Jesus returns, will He return in His body? Will God's form then revert to the form of the Son at a later date? 8. If God is only one person, why did Jesus say in John 14:23, "If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him." If God is only one person, why does Jesus say, "we"? 9. Oneness theology teaches that God was in the mode of the Father in the Old Testament. God was seen in the OT (not as a vision or a dream or an angel in the following verses: Exo. 6:2-3; Gen. 19:24; Num. 12:6-8). But, Jesus said no one has seen the Father (John 6:46). If they were seeing God Almighty (Exo. 6:2-3) but it wasn't the Father, then who was it? 10. What does John 16:13 mean when it says, "Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come."? How can the Holy Spirit not speak of Himself if He is also Jesus & the Father? If He is all three persons of the Godhead at the same time then who is He "hearing" from if not Himself? The following is from "John Gill's Exposition of the Bible": John 16:13 Howbeit, when the Spirit of truth is come Of this character of the Spirit, see ( John 14:17 ) . His coming, as before, intends more especially his descent on the apostles at Pentecost; though what is here said of him is true of his office, and of his operations on other persons, and at other times: he will guide you into all truth; necessary to be known, useful to men, profitable to the churches, even the whole counsel of God; what relates to worship, the nature, form, and spirituality of it, as well as doctrine. He is as a guide, he goes before, leads the way, removes obstructions, opens the understanding, makes things plain and clear, teaches to profit, and leads in the way men should go, without turning to the right hand or left, which, without such a guide, they would be apt to do. The Jews F25 have a notion of the Holy Ghost being a guide into all wisdom and knowledge. ``R. Phinehas says, the Holy Spirit rested upon Joseph from his youth to the day of his death, and "guided him into all wisdom", as a shepherd leads his flock, according to ( Psalms 80:1 Psalms 80:2 ) ;'' For he shall not speak of himself: as Christ, the Son, spoke not of himself in opposition to the Father, so the Spirit speaks not of himself in opposition either to the Father, or the Son, but in perfect agreement with both; being, as of the same nature and essence, power and glory, so of the same mind, understanding, and will; and as they agreed and wrought jointly and harmoniously, in the works of nature and providence, so in the economy of grace and salvation. But whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak; as Christ himself did, ( John 15:15 ) ; and they are such things as ear has not heard besides; what were secretly transacted in the council and covenant of peace, and agreed upon by all the three persons; things which concern the salvation of men, the Gospel church state, another world, and the glory of all the divine persons: and he will show you things to come; which would come to pass after the death, resurrection, and ascension of Christ; things relating to the state and settlement of the Gospel church, the partition wall being broken down, the law of commandments contained in ordinances abolished, and a new face of things appearing in the kingdom and interest of Christ, in consequence of the Spirit being sent forth, and poured down: or this may respect the spirit of prophecy in the apostles, who showed to them many things to come in after ages; as the rise of the man of sin, the great departure from the faith, and decline of the power of godliness in the last days, the calling of the Jews, the destruction of antichrist, the burning of the world, and the making of new heavens and new earth; and, in short, what would be the state of the church of Christ, and religion, in all the several periods of time, quite down to the coming of Christ, when dead saints shall be raised, and living ones changed, as is declared throughout the book of Revelation. FOOTNOTES: F25 Pirke Eliezer, c. 39. To get further details to the first nine questions see the following link: "Answers and response to "Questions to ask Oneness Pentecostal believers" at carm.org/religious-movements/oneness-pentecostal/answers-and-response-questions-ask-oneness-Pentecostal by Matt Slick who is the President and Founder of the Christian Apologetics and Research Ministry (CARM); see his website at www.CARM.org. Oneness theology denies the Trinity doctrine and claims that there is one person in the Godhead who has manifested himself in three different forms: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These "forms" are not three distinct persons but one person who occupied consecutive modes. The Trinity, on the other hand, is the teaching that there is one God who exists in three distinct, simultaneous persons. Please note, though, this is not saying there are three gods. In defending the doctrine of the Trinity and in examining the Oneness doctrine regarding the Godhead, it is first necessary to define the terms that are used. Since the Trinity doctrine states there are three persons in one Godhead and Oneness Pentecostal theology states there is only one person, we first need to know what a "person" is before we try to discover whether or not God is three persons or one. Therefore, we need to ask what qualifies someone as having "personhood"? I offer the following analysis as an attempt to adequately define personhood. After the outline, I will try and show that the definition and/or characteristics of personhood can be applied to both the Father and the Son in a context that shows they both existed as persons at the same time thereby proving Oneness theology is incorrect. What are the qualities and attributes of being a person? A person exists and has identity. A person is aware of his own existence and identity. This precludes the condition of being unconscious. A self-aware person will use such a statement as "I am," "me." "mine." etc. A person can recognize the existence of other persons. This is true provided there were other persons around him or her. Such recognition would include the use of such statements as "you are", "you", "yours", etc. A person possesses a will. A will is the capability of conscious choice, decision, intention, desire, and/or purpose. A single person cannot have two separate and distinct wills at the same time on the exact same subject. Regarding the exact same subject, a person can desire/will one thing at one moment and another at a different moment. Separate and simultaneous wills imply separate and simultaneous persons. A person has the ability to communicate--under normal conditions. Persons do not need to have bodies. God the Father possesses personhood without a body--as do the angels. Biblically speaking, upon death we are "absent from the body and home with the Lord" (2 Cor. 5:8). God qualifies as having personhood in that He exists, is self-aware, has identity, uses terms such as "Me", "I AM", "My," and possesses a will. The question now becomes whether or not there is more than one "person" in the Godhead. "Let this cup pass from Me." "And he was withdrawn from them about a stone’s cast, and kneeled down, and prayed, 42Saying, 'Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done'" (Luke 22:41-42). "And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, 'O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt'" (Matt. 26:39). In both Luke 22:42 and Matt. 26:39 (which are parallel passages), the context is Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane--right before His betrayal. He was praying to the Father about the ordeal He was about to undergo. Several points are worth bringing out here: First, in this passage, Jesus addresses the Father. He says, "Oh my Father . . . " Note that Jesus says "my" and "Father." These two words designate a "me and you" relationship. Second, "If it be possible" is Jesus expressing a desire--a hope. What is that hope or desire? It is that "this cup pass from me." The cup Jesus is speaking of is the imminent ordeal of betrayal, scourging, and crucifixion. Jesus did not want to go through this. He was expressing His desire. It was His will not to undergo the severe ordeal ahead of Him. If this was not so, He would not have expressed the desire to have the cup pass from Him. Third, in Matt. 26:39, Jesus says, "Nevertheless., not my will, but thine, be done." In Luke 22:42 he says, "Nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt." With this, Jesus is expressing His will and contrasting it to the will of the Father. Yet, He is stating that even though He does not want to undergo what lay ahead, "Nevertheless," He would submit to the will of the Father--and not his own will. This shows that the person of Jesus had a separate and different will than the Father. Since we have two separate simultaneous wills, we have two separate and simultaneous persons and Oneness Pentecostal theology is thus necessarily incorrect & heretical. Oneness theology also maintains that baptism is a necessary part of salvation; that is, in order to be saved, one must be baptized, by immersion (see our video "IS WATER BAPTISM NECESSARY TO ESCAPE HELL & BE SAVED & ARE YOU "BORN AGAIN" (JOHN 3:3-8) BY IT?" at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-wYJtMV9qrWg.html). If you are not baptized you cannot be saved. However, not only must baptism be by immersion, it must also be administered with the formula "In Jesus' name" rather than the formula "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit" which is mentioned in Matt. 28:19 (Oneness Pentecostals reject the fact that Matthew 28:19 teaches that by its very words a person is baptized into the very reality of God as Father, Son & the Holy Spirit, i.e., the reality of God as Trinity. The Greek preposition "eis" means "into" and denotes that the disciples were to baptize converts into the dynamic life of God as Trinity. A believer therefore shares in the fullness of fellowship with the members of the Trinity. Baptism is by the authority of Jesus (Acts 4:7; see implications of the Trinity in Colossians 3:17). Finally, this baptism must be administered by a duly ordained minister of a church that maintains oneness theology according to Acts 2:38: United Pentecostal, United Apostolic, etc. The problem for Oneness Pentecostals is that Acts 2:38 does not mean what they think it means. "Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." (Acts 2:38). Acts 2:38 is one of the more controversial verses in the Bible regarding baptism and whether or not it is the requirement for salvation. Some use this verse to say that one must be baptized in order to be saved. But when you look at the verse, and others, you will see that it does not teach baptismal regeneration, that baptism saves, or that baptism is necessary for salvation. First of all, rarely is doctrine ever made from a single verse. We need to look at all of what God's words says about a subject in order to accurately understand what it teaches. I will briefly tackle this verse in the following manner: Examination of the verse's syntax, grammar and structure. Examine other verses dealing with the forgiveness of sins. Examine the verse in its covenant context. Grammar and Structure of Acts 2:38 In Acts 2:38 the main verb is metanoesate (change mind), the aorist direct imperative (a command) of metanoeo which means to repent (change mind). This refers to that initial repentance of the sinner unto salvation. The verb translated "be baptized" is in the indirect passive imperative (a command to receive; hence, passive voice in Greek1) of baptizo, which does not give it the same direct command implied in "repent." The preposition "for" in the phrase "for the remission of sins" in Greek is "eis," unto or into, and it is in the accusative case (direct object). It can mean "for the purpose of identifying you with the remission of sins." It is the same preposition we find in 1 Cor. 10:2 in the phrase "and were baptized unto Moses." Note that both contexts are dealing with baptism and identification. In 1 Cor. 10:2 the people were baptized or spiritually identifying themselves with the purposes and vision of Moses. Repentance, therefore, is presented as identifying an individual with the remission of his sins even as baptism following repentance provides an external identification visible by others. Repentance is something that concerns an individual and God while baptism involves others. That is why baptistheto (let be immersed) is in the passive voice indicating that one does not baptize himself but is baptized by another usually in the presence of others. Repentance, however, is an act taking place within a person's heart as the Holy Spirit moves in the sinner. But, all this Greek stuff may be confusing. Let me break it down. All people are commanded to repent for their sins. This is what believers have already done by becoming Christians. Baptism, then, is the outward identification with being a Christian for those who have already repented. Also, as the Israelites were "baptized into Moses" (1 Cor. 10:2), so too, Christians are baptized into Jesus. That is, they are identifying themselves, publicly, with Christ. Likewise, in Rom. 6:1-5 where baptism is related to death, burial, and resurrection, it is again an identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. That is why it is said of Christians that we have died to sin (Rom. 6:2, 11; Gal. 2:19-20; Col. 2:20; Col. 3:3; 1 Pet. 2:24). This verse is not demonstrating that baptism is essential for salvation, but that baptism is the thing which we receive in order to publicly identify ourselves completely and totally with Christ as a manifestation of the inward work God has done within us. Other verses dealing with salvation Justification is the work of God where the righteousness of Jesus is reckoned to the sinner; so the sinner is declared, by God, as being righteous under the Law (Rom. 4:3; 5:1,9; Gal. 2:16; 3:11). This righteousness is not earned or retained by any effort of the saved. Justification is an instantaneous occurrence with the result being eternal life. It is based completely and solely upon Jesus' sacrifice on the cross (1 Pet. 2:24) and is received by faith alone (Rom. 4:5; 5:1; Eph. 2:8-9). No works are necessary whatsoever to obtain justification. Otherwise, it is not a gift (Rom. 6:23). Therefore, we are justified by faith (Rom. 5:1). Nowhere in the Bible does it state that we are justified by grace and baptism or faith and baptism or faith and anything else. On the contrary, baptism is excluded from the gospel message. Paul said that he came to preach the gospel--not to baptize: "I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else). For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel..." (1 Cor. 1:14-17). Likewise, Paul told us exactly what the gospel that saves is; he said in 1 Cor. 15:1-4, "Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received, in which also you stand, 2 by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." Note what Paul states in the gospel, and that he did not include baptism in the definition of the gospel. So, we must ask if baptism is necessary for salvation, then why did Paul downplay it and even exclude it from the description of what is required for salvation? It is because baptism isn't necessary for salvation. Further proof that baptism is not a requirement of salvation can be found in Acts 10:44-46. Peter was preaching the gospel, people became saved, and then they were baptized. Acts 10:44-48 says, "While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit came on all who heard the message. The circumcised believers who had come with Peter were astonished that the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out even on the Gentiles. For they heard them speaking in tongues and praising God. Then Peter said, Can anyone keep these people from being baptized with water? They have received the Holy Spirit just as we have.' So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked Peter to stay with them for a few days." (NIV). These people were saved. The gift of the Holy Spirit was on the Gentiles, and they were speaking in tongues. This is significant because tongues is a gift given to believers, see 1 Cor. 14:1-5. Also, unbelievers don't praise God. They can't because praise to the true God is a deep spiritual matter that is foreign to the unsaved (1 Cor. 2:14). Therefore, the ones in Acts 10:44-46 who are speaking in tongues and praising God are definitely saved, and they are saved before they are baptized. This isn't an exception. It is a reality. This proves that baptism is not necessary for salvation, and that Acts 2:38 is not teaching it is necessity either. But, if it isn't saying that, then why is baptism mentioned here? Biblical Covenant Context A covenant is a pact or agreement between two or more parties. Very often, covenants have visible signs to represent them. The elements of bread and wine used in communion are good examples of this. Circumcision was both a covenant sign and and the initiatory rite into the Abrahamic covenant (Gen. 17:10). But this covenant sign did not save anyone. God said to Abraham, "I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you." (Gen. 17:7, NIV). God later instructed Abraham to circumcise not only every adult male but also eight-day-old male infants as a sign of the covenant (Gen. 17:9-13). If the children were not circumcised, they were not considered to be under the promissory Abrahamic covenant. This is why Moses' wife circumcised her son and threw the foreskin at Moses' feet after Moses failed to circumcise him (Exo. 4:24-25). She knew the importance of the covenant between God and her children. At the same time, we must understand that circumcision did not guarantee salvation to those who received it. It was a rite meant only for the people of God, who were born into the family of God (who were then the Jews). It was an outward sign of the covenant promise. To reject it was to reject the covenant, but accepting it did not guarantee salvation. Another theological debate at risk here There is debate within Christianity on the nature of baptism and to whom it may be administered. I am not herein trying to convince anyone of the proper objects of baptism whether it be infant baptism or adult-only baptism. I only present the following information as a proof that baptism is a covenant sign and not essential to salvation. In the New Testament, circumcision is mentioned many times. But with respect to baptism, it is specifically mentioned in Col. 2:11-12: "In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by the hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead." (NIV). In these verses, baptism and circumcision are related. The extent of that relationship is still being debated. Nevertheless, Paul also says in Rom. 2:29, "But he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that which is of the heart, by the Spirit, not by the letter; and his praise is not from men, but from God." As you can see, for the Christian, circumcision is of the heart. And because it is, we Christians are now included in the Abrahamic covenant where before, we, the Gentiles, were not. "Remember that you were at that time separate from Christ, excluded from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world." (Eph. 2:12, NASB). In Gal. 3:8-9, Paul calls the promise of the Abrahamic covenant the gospel. He says, "And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, 'All the nations shall be blessed in you, 9 So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer.'" So, Paul calls the Abrahamic covenant the gospel. The sign of this Abrahamic covenant was circumcision. Here is the catch. Since the Abrahamic covenant is still valid (we are justified by faith--Gal. 3:8), then is there a covenant sign for us today? I think the answer is a resounding yes. I believe that baptism replaces the Old Testament covenant sign of circumcision because 1) there was a New Covenant in the communion supper (Luke 22:20), and 2) in circumcision there was the shedding of blood, but in baptism no blood is shed. The covenant sign has changed now that the Law has been fulfilled in Christ. If you understand that baptism is a covenant sign, then you can see that it is a representation of the reality of Christ circumcising our hearts (Rom. 2:29; Col. 2:11-12). It is our outward proclamation of the inward spiritual blessing of regeneration--of "heart-circumcision." It comes after faith which is a gift of God (Rom. 13:3) and the work of God (John 6:28). Again, baptism is the covenant sign of our covenant with God. Acts 2:39 and "The Promise" This would explain why Peter in verse 39 of Acts 2 says, "For the promise is for you and your children, and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God shall call to Himself." What promise is Peter speaking of when he says "the promise?" Notice that he does not say "this promise" but "the promise." If Peter was referring to baptism as the promise, he would have said "this promise." Instead, he used a phrase "the promise." This is significant. The phrase "the promise" occurs in 26 Bible verses in the New Testament. It is used in reference to several different topics. The Holy Spirit, (Luke 24:49; Acts 2:33; Gal. 3:14). God's promise to Abraham to multiply his descendants in Egypt--physical as well as spiritual (Acts 7:17; Heb. 6:13, 15, 17). The promise of the Messiah, (Acts 13:32; Acts 26:6-7; Rom. 4:13, 14, 16; Gal. 3:17, 19, 22; Eph. 3:6; 2 Tim. 1:1). The promise of eternal redemption (Heb. 9:15; 1 John 2:25). The promise that Sarah would have a child (Rom. 4:20; Gal. 4:23). The promise that through Isaac the world would be blessed. (Rom. 9:8). The promise of Jesus' return (2 Pet. 3:4). The promise to kill Paul by Paul's adversaries (Acts 22:21). But we are most interested in its context in Acts 2, which begins with the outpouring of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:1-13). Peter then preaches a sermon and quotes many OT scriptures (Acts 2:14-35). In verse 2:22 Peter specifically says, "Men of Israel, listen to these words . . . " Peter is speaking to the Jews. It was to the Jews that "the promise" of the outpouring of the Spirit was given. Peter is speaking the covenant language of God as He quotes the OT. Since Peter quotes Joel 2:28-32 in Acts 2:17-18, we can easily see what Peter is talking about when speaking of "the promise" in Acts 2:39. "And it shall be in the last days, God says, that I will pour forth of My Spirit upon all mankind; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams, Even upon My bondslaves, both men and women, I will in those days pour forth of My Spirit." (Acts 2:17-18). See also, "For I will pour out water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out My Spirit on your offspring, And My blessing on your descendants." (Isaiah 44:3). Peter states in Acts 2:38, "Repent, and let each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Peter is clearly speaking of the promise of God to grant the Holy Spirit in a new and better way; but is he saying that people become saved by baptism in water, or that baptism is part of salvation? Not at all. Peter is simply speaking covenantally about the covenant sign. Baptism! Consider this proof, from Peter, that people are saved before baptism: "While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message. 45And all the circumcised believers who had come with Peter were amazed, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out upon the Gentiles also. 46For they were hearing them speaking with tongues and exalting God. Then Peter answered, 47"Surely no one can refuse the water for these to be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we did, can he?" 48And he ordered them to be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then they asked him to stay on for a few days." (Acts 10:44-48). Notice that Peter had been preaching the gospel, and the Holy Spirit fell upon the people. In verse 45 we see that "the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out upon the Gentiles also." These people were saved. 2:14). Therefore, the ones in Acts 10:44-48 who are speaking in tongues and praising God are definitely saved, and they are saved before they are baptized. This simply isn't an exception. It is a reality. Conclusion Acts 2:38 so closely ties repentance and baptism because it is contextually covenant language and covenant concept. It is not stating that you must be baptized in order to be saved. It is saying that baptism is the complete and total covenantal identification with Christ in His death, burial, and resurrection. It is not the covenant representation (baptism) of what Christ did that saves us but the reality of His sacrifice which we receive by faith (Rom. 5:1; Gal. 3:8). That is why we can see a group of people in Acts 10:44-48 who are saved before they are baptized. Baptism is not what saves. It is not part of salvation. It is something someone does who is already saved. See our playlist which deals with another religious cult which likewise believes that water baptism is essential for salvation called "Dealing with "Saved by Works & Baptism", "Church of Christ"" with 72 videos at ru-vid.com/group/PLBD55090718DA6D3D. Oneness churches also teach that speaking in tongues is a necessary manifestation of the Holy Spirit (see our video "Acts 19: Gifts of the Holy Spirit - Baptism in the Holy Spirit & Speaking in Tongues" at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-y2uXPzB0UmE.html). Since a person cannot be saved without the Holy Spirit (Rom. 8:9), it follows that only those who have spoken in tongues are really saved according to them. There is, therefore, an emphasis that Oneness church members speak in tongues to "demonstrate" that they are saved and have the truth (see our video series beginning with "Blasphemous Charismatic & Pentecostal Mayhem #1: Mad Delusional Experiences Replace Scripture Alone" at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Kbv7YsyMf0I.html). Oneness groups are decidedly Arminian in the doctrine of salvation. They deny predestination and maintain that it is completely up to the individual to decide whether or not he wants to be saved by their own will power & efforts (see our playlist, "Dealing with Predestination, Arminianism & Calvinism" with 81 videos at ru-vid.com/group/PLA932903698A56780). They also teach that it is possible to lose one's salvation (see our video "True Christians Cannot Lose Their Salvation But Fake & Deluded "Christians" Never Had It At All" at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-meUD2vCv3oo.html). There is within the Oneness movement an attempt to represent themselves in a modest and holy manner. This is to be commended. However, sometimes it tends to become legalistic in that women are required to abstain from wearing makeup and pants. They also must have their heads covered. Likewise, men should be well-dressed, preferably in ties (this has been my experience with them). Such practices are not wrong in themselves, and are good examples of propriety. However, when they become requirements for acceptance in a church, it is legalistic. Legalism leads to bondage and the requirements of keeping the law to maintain salvation. It then becomes a means by which a person's spirituality is judged. Oneness churches strongly imply that if you go to movies, or have a TV, or wear makeup, etc., then you are not "really" a Christian (see our video "KEEPING THE OLD TESTAMENT LAWS & COMMANDMENTS CANNOT EARN HEAVEN OR SALVATION WITH GOD!" at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aIh3T31ujuU.html). Oneness Pentecostal people are many and varied. The two main groups that hold to Oneness theology are the United Pentecostal Church International (the largest) and the United Apostolic church. There are others like the Assemblies of the Lord Jesus Christ and the Bible Way Churches of Our Lord Jesus Christ as well as a host of independent Oneness churches scattered throughout the United States. The following points of doctrine are generally held to by the Oneness Pentecostal groups. Within Orthodoxy There is only one God in all existence. The Bible is God's inerrant word. Jesus was born of a virgin. Jesus had two natures. Justification by faith. Baptism must be by immersion.1 The elements of communion are bread and wine and are only for believers. Foot-washing (John 13:4-5) is a divine institution to be practiced by church members.2 Abstain from joining secret societies (James 5:12; 2 Cor. 6:14-18). There will be a future rapture of the Church where the Christians will be transformed (1 Thess. 4:13-17; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; Phil. 3:20-21). Outside of Orthodoxy Denies the doctrine of the Trinity. Denies justification by faith alone by stating that baptism is also required for salvation. Jesus is God the Father. Jesus is the Holy Spirit. The name of God is "Jesus." Baptism is necessary for salvation. Denies pre-existence of the Word as the Son. Teaches that the He existed as the Father. Being born again means repentance, baptism, and speaking in tongues. Baptism must be administered by an ordained Oneness minister to be valid. Baptism must be administered with the phrase, "In the name of Jesus" instead of the phrase, "In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit," (Matt. 28:19). Speaking in tongues is a necessary requirement to demonstrate that a person has been baptized in the Holy Spirit and is, therefore, saved. It is claimed to be the initial sign of the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Restitution of all things though the devil and the angels will not be restored. Women may be pastors.3 Only Oneness people will go to heaven. As a child I believed that the Bible was the word of God and that Jesus was my savior .In 1988 I was drinking a fifth of alcohol a day . I have never wanted to drink since then and I praise GOD for that. . ' ONE LORD , ONE FAITH , ONE BAPTISM , ONE GOD AND FATHER OF ALL , WHO IS ABOVE ALL , AND THROUGH ALL ,AND IN YOU ALL ! JOHN 3:16 IS JUST ONE VERSE : YOU NEED TO READ ALL OF CHAPTER THREE TO UNDERSTAND JESUS' PLAN OF SALVATION ! I was a believer from childhood but i wasn't saved . THANK YOU FOR READING THIS !

How can you explain this verse 1 John 2:22-24 (KJV) Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son. Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: (but) he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also. Let that therefore abide in you, which ye have heard from the beginning. If that which ye have heard from the beginning shall remain in you, ye also shall continue in the Son, and in the Father.

Yes and no, lol. Jesus doesn't "look like" the Father. God is a Spirit, so He doesn't look like anything. However, since Jesus is God [Father] manifest in the flesh, He has manifested Himself in a physical form so now we can identify Him. Now when He returns, every eye will see and every knee will bow. That now Glorified Body is God's Tabernacle. I love your comment, and I know what you mean. It made me chuckle, but for the benefit of the readers it has to be clarified. Can someone please tell me how to go about talking to a priest or pastor? I do wish to find God & Jesus, as I know there is a lot of evil in the world today & I know it is time to choose a side but I'm not sure what I should do. Would I be turned away from a church for being a sinner? I'm scared & I feel very alone & frustrated about the whole thing! Please, instead of criticising me, can someone, anyone give me some real advice on the subject? I've always felt as though there is something important missing from my life & I've never been able to bridge the gap with anything else, (I.E) Money, love, holidays, clothes, hair, make-up & getting wasted, this has all been but a vein & shallow attempt to bridge the void in my heart! One thing I do know, is that I feel as though I'm awake for the first time in my life & I do know there is definitely something very important missing inside me!! :(

***** You said, "Jesus the human was submitted to God" ***** I agree, yes he was. But Jesus is still submitted to God, so please explain your point? You said, "For the fullness of Godhead is within the man Jesus Christ." ****** True, and the fullness of God is in US too. Eph.3:19 You said, "in the old testament Isaiah, I even I am God and no saviour sits beside me" ********** *This is not what this verse says*. It says, "I am the LORD, and there is no other, besides me, there is no God" *And this is truth.* *God Almighty IS The ONLY God, and The Bible says that Jesus Christ is His son.* You said, "n Revelations we see God coming in full glory as King of Kings and Lord of Lord's. *********** That is not what Revelation says though. It says THE LAMB is Lord of Lords and King of Kings. It doesn't say that GOD is. Jesus is The Lamb *OF* God, according to scripture. Do you teach that it was GOD who died on the cross? Peace and Blessings

***** I mean no offense, but tell me *why* I would want this revealed to me? It goes against scripture. And I don't need convinced about repenting, etc. I believe scripture as truth, including Acts 2:38. What I don't understand is how you can say that Jesus is God, when they are together in heaven. Do you understand that God truly loves His son and Jesus Christ truly loves his Father? If you make them the same person, you take from them the father and son relationship. You see them merely as a GOD and BODY relationship. How can you explain the fact that Jesus Christ, 40 days after he rose from the dead, ascended *TO* God, in heaven? Thank you

THE NEW COVENANT IS FROM THE BEGINNING. AS SCRIPTURE STATES. IT WASN'T A NEW COMMANDMENT TO LOVE YAHU WITH ALL OUR MIND SOUL AND TO LOVE OUR BRETHREN AS OUR SELF. THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT THE MAN CALLED THE MESSIAH SHOWED TO ALL BY HIS LIFE STYLE. HE WAS THE FIRST OF THE NEW COVENANT TO BE IN TOTAL OBEDIENCE TO THE CREATOR'S WILL ; EVEN UNTO DEATH. HE WAS THE LAMB OF PASS OVER FOR THE HEBREWS ONLY. HE WAS THE EXAMPLE OF OBEDIENCE FOR THE GENTILES. IF YOU HAD THE SPIRIT OF SPIRITS IN YOU THROUGH YOU AND ABOVE YOU ; YOU WOULD HAVE THE SPIRITUAL UNDERSTANDING OF THE SCRIPTURES AND NOT YOUR OWN CARNAL UNDERSTANDING OR YOUR MOTHER HARLOT'S.

we could not put our eternal soul in the hands of 4th century Greek philosophy , the Bible says that there is one God , the Bible does not say anything about Trinity or persons of God or nature of Gods , we all need to take the biblical texts and get the revelation of Jesus Christ , I have the Holy Ghost which led me to truth and I know there is only one God , he is the king of kings and Lord of lords !!

+Jamin Schroyer Precisely where in the scriptures does it say God manifests himself in one person only? Where does it say God is three manifestations? Where does it say that the Son is nothing more than a created body?The point is not whether the word Trinity is in the scriptures but rather do the scriptures teach that God is plural in nature and yet one? Trinitarians approach the scriptures seeing that the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all declared to be God and yet they are distinct and yet there is only one God.Trinitarians therefore accept the scriptural revelation that God is a Trinity and do not try and create an alternative theology. As for the Greek philosophy, I would highly recommend you look into reading Met. Hilarion Alfeyev's volume 2 in his series on Orthodox Christianity. He emphasizes that the philosophical terms used by the Cappadocians to explain and defend the Trinity and the deity of Christ from the Arians was not meant to be taken as a sufficient definition on the nature of God as if God somehow can simply be declared a "substance" when he is the act of being and is therefore not essence as per Pseudo-Dionysius the Aeropagite.It is highly worth a read at the very least so you know better what it is you are rejecting and do not sound like autistic and obsessive compulsive when discussing these matters.

Gerald Martin what do you mean "when did the holy ghost appear"? the holy ghost is ALWAYS active in the church and those who are in the church. there is not a pin-point place when the holy ghost appears. he is ALWAYS with those who he leads to truth. we are the ones who are unaware though and need to be made aware by such as the sacraments--baptism, eucharist, confirmation, etc.
@newenglandsun4394
@newenglandsun4394 8 лет назад
Gerald Martin "3 god believers"? I believe in one God. The Trinity is one God. Read the Athanasian creed. If you still want to say that Trinitarians are 3-god believers then you need to accept the fact that Satan is your father because it is a flat-out lie to say that Trinitarians believe in three gods.
@newenglandsun4394
@newenglandsun4394 8 лет назад
Gerald Martin I've tried explaining the Trinity before and what Trinitarians believe. To assert "Jesus the only one true God" dismantles that the others are not fully God as well or cannot be is a rather simplistic dismissal. The Nicene Creed declares that the Son is "true God of true God" not that he is another "true God" but rather that all three members of the Trinity can be called the only true God because they are all fully God. And also, together, they are the only true God. So in sum, Trinitarians concur with such a statement. What they do not concur is that this excludes that the Father is the only true God and the Holy Spirit is the only true God and they are not each other. You really need to know what it is you are rejecting before getting into these discussions and they may take quite a bit of studying.
@newenglandsun4394
@newenglandsun4394 8 лет назад
Gerald Martin Further, you also need to take account of scriptures showing Christ to be distinct from another being who is God as well. This is what Trinitarians take account of that Modalists do not. So we have scriptures like Rev. 3:12: "I will write on him the name of My God and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven from My God" - Jesus acknowledges that there is someone who is his God. John 20:17: "I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God" - Jesus is saying he is ascending to another who is also God. Heb. 1:9: "Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness" - an interaction between two divine individuals. The challenge then for the early church was in maintaining faithful to a) the full deity of Christ, b) monotheism, c) the distinction between him and others (two others to be precise) which scripture identified as God. Thus, the Trinity was the balance-point that expressed this the best. Any other theology is what Christians term "heresy".

YHWH is ONE yes, he got it right, however the Almighty's name is NOT 'God' God is not a name, and neither is 'Lord' These are titles, not names. WHO ARE THE ELECT? “But ye are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for YHWH’s own possession, that ye may show forth the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light” I Peter 2:9 The book known as the Bible is the story of a family, a chosen and elected family. We can chart this family’s genealogical line which can be distinctly traced throughout the Bible’s pages from Genesis to Revelation.It began with the man Adam in a garden called Eden that the Creator YHWH placed him in to keep and to guard. Adam had a son named Seth, and from Seth came Noah, and from Noah, a man named Abram. YHWH appeared to Abram and made a very special covenant with him… YHWH made very special Covenants with Yisrayl (Israel) in both the New and Old Testaments. It speaks of the New Covenant in Jeremiah 31:31-34. Who was the New Covenant with? Many will say everything changed in the New Testament - the ‘Church’ was born and became the ‘new Yisrayl.’ But is this what the Scriptures truly say? We clearly read in Jeremiah 31:31-34 who the New Covenant was with - the family of Yisrayl. BUT WHO REALLY IS YISRAYL?? Is it the country over there called Israel in the Middle East? Or is it the people who many call Jews today? Is it only a ‘spiritual body’ as certain denominations within Christianity are teaching, and has nothing to do with a physical genetic line of peoples? Can anyone, regardless of theirgenetic background, come into the congregation of YHWH and become part of this family called Yisrayl, as long as they endeavor to obey the Bible and go to church? The Word of God must be preached throughout the World, therefore, it must be translated and transliterated from one language to another. Don't get them confused and don't make anything more of it than what it actually is because you'll be turning people away who otherwise may have been curious to learn. Israel is comprised of believing Jews and believing non-Jews [who were grafted in]. If you're one of those people who believe that the Name Jesus derives from a satanic pagan background, please use some common sense. The Bible speaks of 2 Jesus'; The True Jesus and the Antichrist [Satan, the false messiah]. When Jesus was accused of having a devil, or being the devil himself, Jesus gave the parable about a house dividing itself cannot stand. If Jesus was truly Satan, why on Earth would He be working so hard to restore us back to God's Ways in obedience to God's Laws and Commandments?! [It's a rhetorical question]. Don't get caught up in semantics. Satan deceives the whole World into disobedience [sin] and Jesus is leading us into righteousness. Comments such as yours are all over the internet and my response is the same. Your comments should be written in a manner to attract those who are weak in the faith or have no faith at all. It's all over the place. I visited an "Olive tree Ministries" and on the surface they had a perfect façade of righteousness. It appeared perfect. A beautiful place for Bible study and fellowship with other believers. That same day, before I left I spoke with the "pastor" and in that conversation, after asking him a couple of questions, I learned that they believed Satan isn't real and in the end "everyone" is saved. I never would have learned that had I not spoken with this "teacher" directly. YAH certainly gave me that eye-opening moment! Needless to say, I never went back.

SINCE THE SPIRIT OF THE SON OF GOD IS THE HOLY SPIRIT, HOW CAN JESUS NOT BE IMMANUEL GOD WITH US AS A MAN? Ephesians 4:9-10 “Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he MIGHT FILL ALL THINGS.” While the body of Jesus Christ lay dead in the tomb, the human spirit of Christ descended into the heart of the earth for three days and three nights (Matthew 12:40). While in Hades, the spirit of Jesus took the “keys of death and Hades” from Satan (Revelation 1:18), “preached to the human spirits that were there in prison (1 Peter 3:19),” released the righteous who were imprisoned in Hades with Abraham (Luke 16/Matthew 27:52-53), and then he “ascended far above all the heavens that he might fill all things” (Ephesians 4:10). Only the Omnipresent God can be said to “fill all things.” God said in Jeremiah 23:24, “Do not I fill heaven and earth? Says the Lord.” Therefore the human spirit of Jesus has to be the Holy Spirit of God who became a man via the incarnation (Luke 1:35) through Mary. Luke 1:35 (NASB) “The angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy Child shall be called the Son of God.” When God became a man as Immanuel “God with us (Matthew 1:23),” He had to have also become a human spirit in order to save us as a real and legitimate human being who needed to pray and had the ability to be tempted in all points as we are. For if God had merely stepped into an external shell of human flesh He would not have become a real man at all. If God merely indwelt a human body there would be no real human will and no genuine ability to be tempted by the devil. Therefore when the omnipresent God Himself became a man by the miraculous virgin conception within Mary, the Holy Spirit of God had to supernaturally transform Himself into the human spirit of Jesus via incarnation. After Christ’s ascension into heaven God again infused that human spirit of Jesus back into His divine Spirit so that “He might fill all things” as the omnipresent Spirit of God. This is how the child born and Son given can inherit all things from God the Father without violating Isaiah 42:8 which says, “My glory will I not give to another.” And this is how Jesus will eventually be exalted from the right hand of the throne of God onto the throne of God itself. As it is written in Hebrews 1:8, “But unto the Son he says, Your throne, O God, is forever and ever: a scepter of righteousness is the scepter of your kingdom.” Wherefore, the human spirit of Jesus “ascended far above all the heavens that He MIGHT FILL ALL THINGS.” Since Jesus is Lord, He has to be the Spirit of the Lord who was poured out on the day of Pentecost. 2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is that Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is liberty.” 1 Corinthians 12:3 “… no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Spirit.” Romans 8:9-10 “But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.” 1 Peter 3:18,19 “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God. He was put to death in the body but made alive in the Spirit. After being made alive, he went and made proclamation to the imprisoned spirits.” The human spirit of the Son of God went into Hades to seize the keys of death and Hades, preach to the imprisoned human spirits, and to release all of the righteous who were imprisoned with Abraham (See Luke 16/Matthew 27:52-53). After “three days and three nights in the heart of the earth,” the human spirit of Jesus ascended out of Hades with all of the righteous dead with him (who had lived from Adam to Christ). After ascending out of Hades, the Lord Jesus re-entered his physical body to resurrect it (John 2:19). At this time many of the righteous who had been imprisoned in Hades were also resurrected and appeared to many. Matthew 27:52-53 (NIV) “… and the tombs broke open. The bodies of many holy people who had died were raised to life. They came out of the tombs after Jesus’ resurrection and went into the holy city and appeared to many people. 1 Corinthians 15:45 “The first man Adam became a living being. The last Adam became A LIFE GIVING SPIRIT.” Galatians 4:6 “And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.” Romans 8:26 “Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” The only way that the Spirit can make intercession for us is if the human spirit of the Son of God had been infused back into the omnipresent Spirit of God who “fills all things.” Hence the scriptures teach that the human spirit of the Son of God is the Holy Spirit that is being poured out upon all flesh from the inauguration of the New Testament Church on the day of Pentecost until Christ’s second coming (Acts 2). John 14:16-18 (NASB) “I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.” Jesus clearly identified Himself as the Holy Spirit of truth that was with his disciples but would later be in his disciples after his resurrection and ascension. “… but you know Him [“the Spirit of truth] because He abides with you and will be in you. I will not leave you as orphans; I WILL COME TO YOU.” Colossians 1:27 “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” 2 Corinthians 13:5 “Know you not that Jesus Christ dwells in you, except you be reprobates? “ If the deity of Christ is not the Holy Spirit of God then how is it that Jesus instructed us to pray to Him in John 14:14? “If you ask any thing in My Name, I will do it.” The one who prayed as a man also answers prayers as God. It would be impossible for Jesus to hear and answer prayers without being the omnipresent as God. For how could Jesus hear prayer requests from around the world all at the same time without being omnipresent? Again, if the deity of Jesus is not the Holy Spirit then how can the human spirit of Jesus be omnipresent (See Matthew 18:29)? “... For where there are two or three gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them. ....” Only the omnipresent Spirit of God can be present in multiple locations where many believers are gathered together in His Name from many different locations all at the same time. The first century book entitled “The Shepherd of Hermas” was held as inspired scripture by the majority of the early Christians but it was later rejected by the Catholic Church. Hermas wrote concerning the deity of Jesus, “The pre-existent Holy Spirit which created all things did God make to dwell in a body of flesh chosen by Himself.” The Shepherd of Hermas Parable 5:6 If Hermas and the first century Roman Church believed in a trinity, Hermas 5:6 should have stated that the “pre-existent Son did God make to dwell in a body of flesh.” Yet Hermas declares that the Holy Spirit of God incarnated Himself “in a body of flesh chosen by Himself.” Hermas clearly believed that the deity of Jesus is the Holy Spirit! Hermas clearly identified the Spirit of the Son of God as the Holy Spirit of God. “The angel of repentance, he came to me and said to me, I want to show you what THE HOLY SPIRIT which spoke with you in the form of the church, showed you; for THAT SPIRIT IS THE SON OF GOD.”(See Romans 8:9 / 2 Corinthians 3:17 / Ephesians 4:6)

OurHumbleLife Matthew 1:23 confirms that the prophecy in Isaiah 7:10-14 is fulfilled in Jesus because Jesus is "Immanuel, which translated means God with us." That is why Isaiah 9:6 is a prophecy predicting that the name of the child born and son given would be called the same name as the "Mighty God" and "Eternal Father (John 17:11, Philippians 2:9, Heb. 1:4)." This is why the prophet Jeremiah called the Messiah "Yahweh our righteousness" (Jer. 23:5-6). And this is why Psalm 118:14 says, "Yahweh is my strength and my song, He also has BECOME MY SALVATION." When we read the entire chapter of Psalm 118 in context, we find that Yahweh became our salvation as Jesus. "This is the gate of Yahweh (Jesus is the door); the righteous will enter through it. I shall give thanks to You, for YOU HAVE BECOME MY SALVATION. The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone. This is Yahweh's doing. It is marvelous in our eyes (Psalm 118:20-23)." Jesus cited this passage to prove that he is Yahweh who has become our salvation. (Matthew 21:42, Mark 12:10-11, Luke 20:17) Hebrews 2:14-17 proves that the "He" who "partook of flesh and blood" is Yahweh who has become our salvation by being made as a fully complete human being in order to save us. Therefore the Holy Spirit of the only true God miraculously became a man within the virgin (Matthew 1:20, Luke 1:35, 1 Tim. 3:16). The newly formed human spirit of Christ is that spirit who descended into the heart of the earth for three days and three nights (Matt. 12:40), took the keys of death and hell (Revelation 1:18), and then ascended far above all the heavens that he MIGHT FILL ALL THINGS (Ephes. 4:10). Although the physical body of the man Christ Jesus is with the Father in heaven, the Lord's Spirit now "fills all things (Ephes. 4:10) as the "life giving Spirit" (1 Cor. 15:45) that was poured out on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2) and is still being poured out upon all flesh (Joel 2). For Paul wrote that "the Lord is the Spirit (2 Cor. 3:17)." Therefore the Spirit of Christ "fills all things (Ephesians 4:10)" as the indwelling Spirit who "intercedes for us" (Rom. 8:26) crying out, "Abba Father" (Rom. 8:15)within NT believers who are filled with His Spirit (Gal. 4:6, Rom. 8:15). For "God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son in our hearts, crying out Abba Father (Gal. 4:6, Heb. 7:25)." Just six verses above Rom. 8:15 we find that "the Spirit of God" is the indwelling "Spirit of Christ." "You are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if so be that THE SPIRIT OF GOD dwells in you. Now if any man have not THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST, he is none of His." Rom. 8:9 Matthew 4:1 proves that Jesus had a newly formed human spirit which "was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness." Matthew 12:28 proves that Jesus did the mighty works by the Holy Spirit of God. “But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you." But John 14:10 proves that Jesus did those mighty works by the Father, "the Father abiding in me, He does the works." Therefore the Holy Spirit who became Christ is the Spirit of the Father who entered into a new existence by becoming a man in order to save us. For "He saw that there was no man, and was appalled that there was none to deliver, so HIS OWN ARM ACHIEVED SALVATION (Isaiah 59:16)." Thus Yahweh extended a portion of Himself into this world just as a man would thrust his own arm into the water to saving a drowning soul while retaining his existence above the water.

OurHumbleLife THE APOSTLES IDENTIFIED THE HOLY SPIRIT AS THE SAME INDIVIDUAL GOD WHO IS CHRIST: 2 Peter 1:21 states that the "prophecy came not in old time by the will of men, but holy men spoke as they were moved by THE HOLY SPIRIT." Yet 1 Peter 1:11 identifies that Spirit as the Spirit of Christ. "THE SPIRIT OF CHRIST which was in them (the prophets), testified beforehand of the sufferings of Christ and the glory that would follow." In 1 Cor. 10:4, Paul identifies the Holy Spirit as Christ. "They drank from that spiritual rock that followed them, and that rock was Christ." Paul called the Spirit of God the same Spirit of Christ in Romans 8:9, 2 Cor. 3:17, Colossians 1:27, 2 Cor. 13:5 and throughout the NT.

Steven Ritchie The fact that "Immanuel" means, "GOD WITH US" does not indicate that Jesus is GOD. Also, Jesus' birth indeed fulfilled a foreshadow of Immanuel's birth, but Immanuel was born many years before Jesus was born. If you read Isaiah, you will clearly see that Immanuel was born to a maiden and was a direct sign from GOD *TO* King Ahaz. How would a birth 600 years after King Ahaz be a sign directly to and for him? You are also telling me that The Holy Spirit is Jesus' spirit? Are you saying that when The Holy Spirit descended upon Jesus in the form of a dove that it was Jesus' own spirit that descended upon him? And when The Holy Spirit overshadowed Mary that it was Jesus who fathered himself? And when *GOD anointed Jesus with The Holy Spirit,* that God was anointing Jesus with Jesus' own spirit? I mean no sarcasm, but Jesus' spirit is not the same as The Holy Spirit. We each have a spirit. GOD *is* spirit and His very presence is The Holy Spirit. I pray that you see that Jesus Christ is *with* GOD in heaven. It was Jesus who GOD gave the revelation of Jesus *TO.* (Rev 1:1) It is GOD's very hand that Jesus takes the scroll from. How can you truly believe that Jesus *is* GOD, with the evidence in The Book of Revelation, of them being *together?*

There is only one God not three. If there were three Gods then which one would take the throne? There would just be chaos everywhere and there wouldn’t be any order in the universe. The reason why some people believe in this is because this is the result of Jesus Christ’s original message becoming corrupt overtime. And even if it does talk about the trinity in the Bible, this doesn’t matter because there are over 200 different versions of the Bible and it is not in its original form. The final prophet Muhammad (pbuh) was sent to clear up these misconceptions and to re-establish the same pure message that all of the prophets and messengers in the past have presched before people corrupted it. He was sent with the last revelation until the day of judgement which is the Quran. This book is the criterion over all religion and it is a historical fact that not a single letter has changed ever since revelation. And there is nowhere in here that says God is three. May God guide you all to the straight path :)

FULL INCARNATION OR PARTIAL INCARNATION? Oneness Apostolic Christians believe that Jesus is fully God and fully man as one person? Hebrews 2:17 says that "he was make like unto his brethren, fully human in every way." Trinitarians believe that Jesus is fully the second God Person incarnated as a man but we believe that the scriptures teach that Jesus is "ALL THE FULLNESS OF THE DEITY" incarnated as a man. All means All! Jesus is not a second God Person incarnated as a man for that would be only one third of God incarnated as a man. Nor is Jesus 3 God Persons incarnated as a man for then the Trinitarians would say that no divine persons would be left to rule in heaven. All of the Biblical date proves that our wonderful Jesus is all the fullness of "the only true God" Person - the Father (John 17:3) incarnated as a man person. That is why the scriptures repeatedly say that "God was in Christ." Since Jesus said that God the Father is "the only true God," we must believe that He is the full incarnation of that One true "Mighty God" and "Everlasting Father." For "Have we not ONE Father? Has not ONE GOD created us?" Trinitarians have three God Fathers because they believe that three God Persons created us. In contradistinction, Oneness theology believes that our wonderful Jesus created all things as that Yahweh God the Father prior to being incarnated as the Son. Non Catholic Trinitarians also have three separate and distinct husbands because they are daughters of that harlot mother spoken of in the book of Revelation who pretends to be the bride of Christ. The Harlot bride has more than one husband because she has 3 God Persons that she worships. In contradistinction, the true bride of Christ knows who she worships as the true Israel of God. We know what we worship for salvation is of the Jews. God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and in truth. "For the Father seeks such to worship Him (not THEM)." When we worship Jesus we know that we are worshipping all the fullness of God the Father incarnated as a man so we have one husband as the true bride of Christ. Paul wrote, "I have espoused you to one husband, ... Christ." The harlot bride has more than one husband because she is a harlot! 2 Corinthians 11:1-4 " I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ. 3But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. 4For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."

JESUS IS APPOINTED TO RULE OVER THE WORKS OF GOD THE FATHER'S HANDS! Psalms 8:4-6 (ESV) “What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You HAVE GIVEN HIM DOMINION OVER THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS; you have put all things under his feet.” Hebrews 2:6-9 (NASB) “For He did not subject to angels the world to come, concerning which we are speaking. 6 But one has testified somewhere, saying, ‘What is man, that You remember him? Or the son of man, that You are concerned about him? 7 You have made him for a little while lower than the angels; You have crowned him with glory and honor, And HAVE APPOINTED HIM OVER THE WORKS OF YOUR HANDS; 8 You have put all things in subjection under his feet.’ For in subjecting all things to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. But now we do not yet see all things subjected to him. 9 But we do see Him who was made for a little while lower than the angels, namely, Jesus, because of the suffering of death crowned with glory and honor, so that by the grace of God He might taste death for everyone.” How could Jesus have created the heavens and the earth while being appointed over the works of God the Father’s hands? Since the Son is appointed over the works of God the Father’s hands, the Son could not have done the creating! Why then does Hebrews 1:10 reference Jesus as Yahweh who created all things by His hands? And why do many other NT scriptures reference the Son as the creator (such as 1 Corinthians 8:6 and Colossians 1:16)? The answer is very simple. Prior to the incarnation, He who became the Son was Yahweh our Father who created all things “alone” and “BY Himself” (Isaiah 44:24). That is why Colossians 1:16-17 states, “For BY Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth ... All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist.” Isaiah 9:6 references Jesus as the “mighty God” and “eternal Father.” Isaiah 64:8 (ISV) says, “O Yahweh, you are our Father; and we are clay, and you are our potter; we are all the work of your hands.” Malachi 2:10 “Have we not ONE FATHER? Has not ONE GOD created us?” The writer of Hebrews quoted Psalm 8:4-6 because he was referencing Jesus as the Son of man who would reign over "all things." Note that Hebrews 2:8 finishes the quote from Psalm 8:6 by saying, "You have put all things in subjection under his feet." Then the author of Hebrews finishes the verse by saying, "FOR (elaborating on what was said in the above text) in that He put all in subjection under him, He left nothing that is not put under him. But now we do not yet see all things put under him." Who is referenced by the words, "But now we DO NOT YET SEE ALL THINGS PUT UNDER HIM?" Can "MANKIND IN GENERAL" be referenced as the one who has "NOT YET" seen "ALL THINGS PUT UNDER HIM?" Daniel 7:14 and Hebrews 1:2 prove that Jesus will be given "DOMINION" over all the earth because "He has" been "appointed "HEIR OF ALL THINGS." Daniel 7:14 “Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom; that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.” Then Hebrews 2:9 says that Jesus is the one who would fulfill Psalm 8:4-6 by saying that Jesus is the one who would be "crowned with glory and honor." Thus the author of Hebrews ties the quote from Psalm 8:4-6 with Jesus who has not yet been given His dominion over all the earth. When we harmonize all of the Biblical data together we find that this is the proper interpretation of Psalm 8:4-6 and Hebrews 2:5-9. Wherefore, Jesus has to be the Man who fulfills the destiny of man spelled out in Psalms 8:4-6 which reads, “What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet.” Psalm 2:7-8 (NASB) brings harmony to the fact that Psalm 8:4-6 and Hebrews 2:5-8 is speaking of Jesus who will reign over all things. “I will surely tell of the decree of Yahweh. He said to Me, ‘You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will surely give the nations as Your inheritance, And the very ends of the earth as Your possession.” Daniel 7:14 “Then to Him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom; that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, And His kingdom the one which shall not be destroyed.” Psalms 8:4-6 (ESV) “What is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? Yet you have made him a little lower than the heavenly beings and crowned him with glory and honor. You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet.” Isaiah 9:7 clearly states that there shall be “NO END” to the Messiah’s “government” and that he shall reign “FOREVER.” Hence, "God has made this Jesus ... both Lord [Immanuel - Yahweh God with us] and Christ [Anointed Man]" Acts 2:36 Therefore Jesus is both fully God ("the only true God" the Father - John 17:3) and fully man (Hebrews 2:17) as one human person.

***** Thank you brother! I just finished a radio debate with Catholic apologist William Albrecht this past Saturday and I'm very happy with it. God is helping me to learn from my past mistakes so that I can defend the faith better and that Christ in me will win multitudes to the truth of the original Apostolic Christian Faith. We should have it posted by the end of the week. As far as I'm aware, there has never been a formal debate between a Oneness apologist and a Roman Catholic Trinitarian apologist. I think that you will agree that the debate was in our favor! I just finished watching two Oneness Symposium videos you posted. I posted one of them on my ministry web site. As soon as we professionally change and organize the web site, I plan to post allot of your materials. Lets keep in touch by email. Grace and peace in Christ!

+Steven Ritchie That's a whole bunch of nonsense. You are a pastor and have taken seminary training so you know damn well that Trinitarians believe the Father is wholly, 100% ALL of God, the Son is wholly, 100% ALL of God, and the Holy Spirit is wholly, 100% ALL of God.Either your seminary was extraordinarily dishonest and presumably unaccredited (I now demand to know which seminary you studied at) or you're the one who is extraordinarily dishonest and your father is the Devil because he is the father of lies. The fact that you are a pastor shows that you'll be judged more severely.

How do you explain this verse 1 John 1:1-3 (KJV) That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ.

How do you explain this verse? Hebrews 1:5-14 (KJV) For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him. And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire. But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows. And, Thou, Lord, in the beginning hast laid the foundation of the earth; and the heavens are the works of thine hands: They shall perish; but thou remainest; and they all shall wax old as doth a garment; And as a vesture shalt thou fold them up, and they shall be changed: but thou art the same, and thy years shall not fail. But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool? Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

No. You have free will, you can follow or you can leave. Your walk with God is your relationship you build with him. They give you the word of God and you make a choice. They dance for the Lord like I used to in the bar or in the club or at a concert. The only difference is their high on the spirit of Jesus Christ. No one is waking up hung over, with someone they don't know or whatever the worlds view of a night out is. In this case its in the daylight not hiding in the night.

No we are not a cult. Some people just cannot receive the revelation. Because they do not seek God for the understanding. If the gospel can be hid from people because Satan blinds their minds as 2 Corinthians 4:3-4 says then the revelation of Jesus Christ being both Father and Son, two natures in one person and Jesus not only calling himself the Father, the Son and he called himself the Comforter, the Comforter is the Holy Spirit. The reason why they wanted to kill Jesus was not only because he was fulfilling and changing the law, but because he was claiming to be Almighty God. Jesus said for what good work do you stone me for. And they said we don't stone you not for a good work, but you being a man make yourself God. And read Isaiah 9:6, it calls the Son the everlasting Father the mighty God, and only one can receive worship and that's God but Jesus received worship. God bless you

@@danieltoman1367 He wasn't changing God's Law. I certainly hope that's not what you meant by "he was fulfilling and changing the law". God's Word is Eternal and it does not change! He was rebuking the Scribes, Sadducees and Pharisees for "adding" to God's Laws. He was restoring men back to God's Way without the burdensome of the man-made laws they attached to it. Jesus fulfilling doesn't mean He was changing or abolishing. Fulfilling means He was filling up, making complete, making whole, bringing them to fulfillment. It is the Roman Catholic Church that changed God's Times and Laws and the World adheres to them. That is why we are commissioned to return to the True Gospel of the LORD and teach it! I agree with what you said in your comment, just that one part. If that was written in error and I provided this dissertation unnecessarily, then I apologize. Just edit your comment about Jesus changing the Law, when He was changing the law [man's laws] and restoring back to the Law [God's word. All of it.]!

why do you believe in oneness? This doctrine is folly, do you know the name Elohim and the meaning of that name? Do you know that we are created in the image of God as he is triune and so is all mankind, having a spirit, soul and body. Do you think your spirit is your soul? Do you think your spirit is your body? Do you think your soul is your body? Do you understand 1 Thess. 5:23 ? Have you studied Romans 7 where the Apostle Paul teaches about the unsaved soul and the saved spirit? Or have you understood your spirit has a mind, your soul also has a mind and so does your body have a mind? Perhaps if you cannot answer these questions then you have found the reason why you believe in the oneness doctrine.

To Rob: Yup, he is a scholar, that's for sure, but of the Sabellian-Noetus teaching of the third century....the same one that was condemned to be heretical by the early church fathers. Any "religion" that promotes a works salvation--which is essentially saying that Jesus' death on the Cross was not enough-we must do this and that to earn our way--is considered a cult-heresy. Jesus said "IT IS FINISHED." Nothing else to do...final. The end. Salvation + nothing else, but DKB and others like him say you must do this and that to earn your way. You will never be good enough: no one will, including me. ALL HAVE SINNED and come short...The gift of God is NOT of works, LEST any man should boast. I have studied the UPCI for years, having a family member in it, so there's nothing you can say to me about this demonic and twisted doctrine.

No where does David Bernard say that you must do this or that to be saved. You must need to have your hearing fixed. He does say that there needs to be signs of evidence, and signs of commitment of such salvation. Even the scriptures tell us this. I have seen many that tell me they are saved, and a Christian, but yet every other word out of their mouth is a foul word, and they continue to hang out at the Bars, and drink alcohol. Your so called study was in vain, because you hold the sin of hatred in your heart. Most people say no one can live a Holy life because they enjoy their sinful life, and justify it by saying "I am saved by Grace". You need to read the Bible a lot closer, because that salvation has requirements. Start looking at all of the word "if" that Jesus uses. But I am sure you know better than Jesus. You are totally deceived. Demons would never teach people to be Holy. You are the fulfillment of the last day prophecy when people call what is of God evil. And that is blaspheming the Holy Spirit.

The statement "we are not saved by works" puts ALL works into the same category. Scripturally there are works of man AND works of God.Therefore we need to be specific ---and specify --WHICH WORKS-- save. The statement--"We are not by works"--is incorrect scripturally. because---We ARE SAVED-------------- by the WORK of God. i.e. Calvary Eph 2:8-9 is actually telling us we are not saved by man's own "self-righteous works". The scriptures specifically inform us that baptism is a work of God--not of man. Repentance !!! ---Scripturally a man must repent in order to be saved. Repentance is something a MAN DOES -therefore it is considered to be a work. BUT repentance is NOT A WORK OF MAN---repentance is a work of God -because repentance is a commandment of God.

suz salter God is not Father, son and Holy Spirit; this is the trinity and is pagan. GOD is The Father, period, just as The Bible says. It is GOD who is The Father of our Messiah, and Jesus is The son *OF* GOD. God and Jesus are not the same person. Jesus tells us that he ascended to heaven, *to* GOD, and we also see in The Book of Revelation, that Jesus still calls God his father. Jesus also still refers to God, as HIS God, *after* he went to heaven. Of course a person can be a father and a son, but never is he his own father, or own son. Neither is Jesus his own father, and God is not His own son.

Yes, they are ONE in deed and love, but they are not the same person. *You said,* "God made a body and allowed himself to be within the man to redeem man." ******** But THIS is not scriptural! The Bible does not say this. The Bible says that God *GAVE* His son and *SENT* His son. Nowhere does The Bible say or indicate that "SON", in this case, means nothing more that a body! Jesus Christ is God's SON. Jesus came forth *from* God, according to scripture. None of what you say makes sense. *The Bible says that The Father loves the son.* *Do you believe this means that God loved His fleshly body?* If you believe the trinity is wrong, why do you claim that Jesus is The Father and The Son and The holy Spirit? @truthinginlovetruthinginlo8807
+Russell Trimm When non Trinitarians talk about oneness they think numeric, but Jesus quoted Deut 6:4 in Mk 12:29 and chose the "unified oneness" word "hen" which is the same word used by Jesus in Mt 19:5, "the two shall become one (hen) flesh. It is significant that Jesus did not use "mono" in Mk 12:29. The word "hen" directly corresponds to "echad" which was used in Deut 6:4. Both texts used "unified oneness" words rather than absolute numeric one. So yes Jesus cannot lie He is with the Father right now, before He left He said He will send another Helper The Holy Spirit.

One of their pet Bible verses to try to prove their doctrine. Sabellianism, Noetus, Patrpassianism, etc. which goes back to the third century. At the Council of Nicea, Constantine was NOT debating the doctrine of the Trinity as all of you have been taught--he was debating about CATHOLICISM. The Bible is FULL of the Trinity= Tri-UNITY. For those of you who don't understand the concept, it is NOT TRI-THEISM (three Gods), it is ONE GOD IN THREE NATURES. Question: Whom was Jesus praying to in the Garden of Gethsemane? And at 20:02, DKB says LORD means "it's not merely ruler or master; the term means "the name of God in the OT;" " in English we often say Jehovah", and probably the Hebrew pronunciation is something like Yahweh. No one knows for sure, because the ancient Hebrews did not write the vowels down..." WRONG! Small capital letters in the KJV Bible ALWAYS means Jesus Christ, not all these deceptive lies he's telling the audience. By the way, there are dozens of Scriptures to refute the UPCI heresy.One big problem is that DKB and all the Superintendents before him assume that you will not go back and check up on church history--ALL church history--to prove their version as being wrong. They count on that to teach their lies.

+Pentecostal Believer S-R The word Trinity is not in the Bible. It is the misunderstanding of what God is saying that makes one think of a Trinity. Tertullian started the doctrine of the Trinity in 220A.D. before that there was no evidence of teaching the Trinity doctrine. The Bible is clear that God is one. The first Christians were Jews who were always One God people. They would have never converted to a teaching of a Trinity. Read the Book of Revelation over and listen to who Jesus says He is.

+Hargis Pennington There are a LOT of words that we use that aren't in the Bible; that's not the point. The point is that it's the doctrine or concept which is being described, just as the Oneness uses "modes" which is not in the Bible, yet all of YOU use that. God said "Let US make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness...so God created man in HIS OWN image, in the image of God created he him." And again, "Let US go down, and there confound their language..."You are incorrect about the first Christians being Jews ONLY; read the first two chapter of Acts. First, all the apostles-disciples, after they received the Holy Spirit on the day of Pentecost spoke in tongues in OTHER LANGUAGES (ch. 2, verses 9-11), so obviously they weren't speaking Hebrew.You are REALLY incorrect regarding Tertullian; my suggestion is that you read church history. He did NOT "start" the doctrine of the Trinity...that teaching is from David Bernard, which I have personally read his twisting of church history...that man is a snake from hell--how he distorts, lies and twists ALL church history to fit the UPC's deceptive doctrine! The Bible itself proclaims the Tri-Unity of God: One quick verse is I John 5:7. And if you go to your "famous" one that all of you like to quote in Deut., the word is PLURAL, not singular...like all the Pennington's in the house are ONE, just as a baseball team is ONE...Finally, read the very first verse of Rev. 1:1. What does that say?"THE REVELATION OF JESUS CHRIST, WHICH GOD....WHO?? GOD GAVE UNTO HIM.........WHO GAVE WHAT TO WHOM???? GOD THE FATHER GAVE UNTO JESUS CHRIST, HIS SON, THE SON OF GOD. Who thought it NOT ROBBERY TO BE EQUAL--that's in Hebrews unless they don't allow you to read that Book.Verse 2: Who bare the record of the WORD OF GOD, and of the testimony of JESUS CHRIST.Next, go to every Book in the NT that Paul wrote. Look at the first verses, which are also known as his salutations: Look how they're worded. For example: "PAUL and apostle of Jesus Christ by the WILL OF GOD..." You'll find that ALMOST every single one Paul makes a distinction between the Father and the Son.Now, answer me this: Do you honestly think that God the Father left His Kingdom to come down here to earth, walking the earth doing all the signs and miracles, preaching, etc. for 33 years, died on the Cross of Calvary and LEFT THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE RUNNING ON ITS OWN, HOPING THAT NOTHING WOULD GO WRONG OR FALL INTO A CHAOTIC STATE?OR------------------Who answered from the heavens saying "THOU ART MY BELOVED SON, IN WHOM I AM WELL PLEASED" ALONG WITH THE SPIRIT LIKE A DOVE DESCENDING" IS that JESUS BEING A VENTRILOQUIST??------------------------------------------OR----------------------------- IS THAT ANOTHER PERSON OF THE GODHEAD, AS THE BIBLE SAYS OF JESUS: "IN HIM DWELLETH THE FULLNESS OF THE GODHEAD BODILY?"AND STILL I HAVE TO ASK YOU: TO WHOM WAS JESUS CHRIST, THE SON OF THE LIVING GOD, PRAYING TO IN THE GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE, SAYING: "O MY FATHER--------------NOT TO HIMSELF, BUT------------------"O MY------FATHER, IF IT BE POSSIBLE, LET THIS CUP PASS FROM ME: NEVERTHELESS NOT AS I WILL"................NOT WHAT JESUS CHRIST THE SON WANTS, BUT--------------------"BUT AS THOU WILL.........................WHAT HIS FATHER IN HEAVEN WANTS."I used to clean for Jewish people for over ten years in addition to studying my Bible and their history. I am born again for well over 45 years AND I have a son in this demonic cult of yours; there isn't anything that you can tell me regarding any of this.If YOU were honest with yourself and read the Scriptures, especially the Gospel of John which is loaded with TRI-UNITY proof of these three are ONE, you would find out that the doctrinal error that you are following-being brainwashed to believe is what is called "another gospel." Go read YOUR "church" history...you'd be surprised at what they left out that you don't know about!

Pentecostal Believer S-R your problem is that all you are doing is repeating the same false teachings. If you really did any research you would find that Trinity doctrine didn't start until 200 a d well after the Apostles were dead. It makes a big difference that the word Trinity is not in the Scriptures. God commands that no one add or take away from His Word. On the contrary the Gospel of John is full of the oneness of God. So is the OT, and the NT. You are following the teaching of pagans that infiltrated the Catholic Church and were not satisfied with one God. The Apostles would have taught the Trinity if it was true. God reveals who He is when people earnestly seek Him. His oneness is all over the Bible. Deut. 6:4
