All in all, you don't really talk about any secrets or fancy stuff here but the reason why such videos are so important is that people need to realize: There's no secret method, there's just "Think logically and be persistent". Few months ago, I release my first app. I thought that app was good idea, but its not. Now I know why app is not success. And I know how to solve it. Thank for the advice. 😊
Hey, the revenue numbers on app annie is not correct at all 😅 When I checked my own apps on app annie then it showing almost 10 times more revenue than what I generating. Every app has different business model. That’s the reason to list wrong numbers there may be. Btw, you’re doing good contents for indie developers. Thanks 🙏🏻

One thing I want to mention here is that all the tools show revenue of the apps. But no one tells us the investment done by the creator. Before judging the revenue of any product, we should also consider the investment in marketing. I am telling this because i have suffered a lot. I also started building the apps based upon looking at the revenue of apps. But at the end I got few hundred or thousands downloads by ASO. I am not earning even earning 0.5% of the expectations based upon competitors. "If everything could be done by ASO, no company would be running paid ads."
Agree on this front. It also comes down to UI / UX design. Look through a few of our live streams with case studies. You'll find that a lot of it is testing and growth hacking a few campaigns.

Warren, that's super hard. The toughest part is finding someone who will be just as passionate as you. I'd ask around. Sometimes you'll find one through meetups or from your users. There's no best way here.
Hey Steve, great content! Thanks for that. Do you have a similar strategy to estimate user acquisition cost (e.g. via Google or Apple ads) of an app so you can compare it to revenue? It might make sense sometimes for an app idea with lower expected revenue but lower user acquisition costs also.. Thanks!

hey steve, really love your videos.. Do you think it's a good practice to start your app by building a fanbase and then monetise or start ready made with your payment plans? lets say a dating app, wont your users complain afterwards if you make them pay for sth, they were getting for free? 7:31
Great question Mario. Been talking to a lot of people about this, and I think it's better to charge right away. People associate you with a base price and if it's always been free then it become extra hard to charge.
