I love this,I grew up in Kentucky we were so poor we lived in an old one room school house an it had dirt floors. My father had cancer an mama had to take care of us 6 kids.Im so thankful for the one toy that we got at Christmas from a truck that went around or used clothing an shoes. My mom was a good southern cook, she could take nothing an make something for dinner. So when I see a need I try to help even though I’m not rich myself. God Bless💜✝️💜
I'm an Irish middle aged woman, mother, wife and grandmother.I love these documentaries.I have a profound connection to these people and there land.Im convinced I was there in another life.Or maybe it's because I am Irish and my ancestors are these wonderful people's ancestors also.Their music, language and spirit is just so parallel to us Irish.I wish them well.☘️💗🇺🇸
Me and my brother were driving through Kentucky a few years back and we were lost so we stopped at a small gas station and and asked an older man that was pumping gas for directions, instead of telling how to get to the interstate he drove about 10 miles out of his way and had us follow him so we wouldn't get lost again. People here are not so helpful.
What a beautiful thing to do for this community, these children, and families!! I will be praying for you all. So as God gave his son to the world. Born of a child and to die for us all!! God bless you!!🙏🙏💗
All of my family is from the Grundy, Virginia area. Thank you for all you do in those beloved hills and most of all sharing the love of Jesus with them. God bless your ministry.
When I lived there the churches would go around and give every home a food box every thanksgiving and Christmas. ..it would have everything in it to make a good dinner. .from the turkey to potatoes, stuffing, cans of vegetables, bread, and pies ...
What a beautiful blessing for the children and their families. And I to believe that children will learn the blessing of giving at a young age so that they can share this lesson at a later time with others, the gift if giving, God is good God is great.I really enjoyed this video watching all the little children and their happiness...
Im disabled and take care of my disabled Wife whom I love dearly. My goal?..To sell our home and buy a motorhome so we can collect food toys and clothing for Appalachia I have to fix 3 rooms in my home and it is really hard with my heart condition but the Lord willing and with his help I will get to do this praise the Lord Jesus!.
I am severely physically disabled and run an organization that recycles equipment we need to survive free of charge. We also give out food, clothing, and other things that we need to survive! I have four offices all run by disabled people here in Vermont so we know what it’s like to go without. As a child I remember many Christmas holidays without presents or a dinner that was special, just having food was good enough. Giving to others is what God wants of us, not to be greedy but to give freely without expectation. Please remember this when the holidays come and give to those without and remember the joy is in the giving not the receiving!
It's my dream to be a part of something like you described. I have been physically disabled for ten years now, and my children have been the recipient of people donating. It's such a blessing.
You all are a blessing...thank you for being willing to be used by the Lord..as a parent...who once was beyond broke...knowing the heart break of not bring able to provide Christmas gifts for my children ...its truly humbling...to feel the touch of God...Go has blessed my family an myself now...and I'd like to donate to your organization... Blessed in Florida....God Bless you all!!
What wonderful kind people, When I was young and growing up in Ireland 🇮🇪 People used to help each other just like you do now,but not anymore, They have Changed for the Worse, become Materialistic and other Stuff,No one helps anyone anymore..Its Such a pleasure to have watched such lovely 😊 kind people such as you all,God bless and keep you all Safexxx😃😘😍
Tears streaming sharing Jesus with each family. Great Joy. Exceedingly and abundantly. I needed this more than you know. Of course Jesus knew. I LOVE YOU JESUS.
How beautiful this is for you all to care about the forgotten Appalachian folks of this country. No one should go hungry especially kids and to share not only toys but food as well. I'm apart of a food ministry here in Martinsburg, WV and hunger is real even here. So many kids go hungry it breaks my heart. But to bring them Christmas is so wonderful too! It blesses my soul. Sharing Gods love in this way shows them that God has not forgotten the Appalachian folks. I'd love to help. I have a craft business and am planning on making things to donate and would love to do that for you all if you take what I make. Anyway, God bless you all for your kindness and showing Gods wonderful love!
Hi Cathy. I live in California but recently I've been reading up on Middle America and especially the forgotten Americans of the rust belt. I feel God is compelling me to help out in some way, shape, or form. Do you by any chance know a local Christian charity that services the Appalachian folks I can donate to?
Hey Cathy I live right down the road from you in Jefferson county. Of you ever need my help please get in touch I will help so will my hubby. 304 283 3002 just leave me a message of I am working but I will get back asap. God bless you girl.
Came across this video this morning on my birthday alone ,but i now no god is alive these are great christian people, the world we live in now adays alot of people don,t no there is a god, thankyou for this upload, thankyou lord.
LIFE IS ABOUT SHARING THE WORD, BUT SHARING TOO ALL IN NEED TO ALL WE MUST SHARE OUR TIME, OUR LOVE, OUR THINGS, AS WE ALL SHARE ONE ANOTHER IN THE PROCESS THAT WHAT LIFE IS ABOUT MAKING SURE ALL MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS ARE HAPPY, AS WELL AS THE THE KIDS, GRAND PARENTS, PARENT, AND EVERY THING THAT MAKE US MOVE THROUGH NATURE AND ALL
Matthew 25:35 "For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: (40) part b,)) Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, (children) ye have done it unto me." KJV (parenthesis mine)
This is beautiful. God bless! I really wish I could just sell everything and move to some place like this in need and spend my life doing God's work for the poor. Maybe when I retire, I can do that ;)
Thanks so much for sharing! Great to see all the help..We have all been there at one time or another. Great ministry..The opioid epidemic is getting out of control, however judging is not going to help--getting the community together to help somehow is what will help. God give us the knowledge to figure this out..You all are inspiring..
made my heart tear up .it's amazing to see the blessings of GOD.if more people had love in their heart for one another same as these folks the world we live in would be a better place .john 3:16 a love for US all.
Bless you all at the church, outreach recipients and volunteers. It is really heartwarming to see faith and compassion in action. I live in the UK and had no idea communities in real need, really existed.
I grew up in Clay County WV....grew up very poor and seen a lot of people do without...after the floods of 2016 it has been devastated....would love to see this place helped
Im so interested in this area of the world, my great granddad 3times over was from Kentucky, an ex -slave from back in the 1800's. He was brought over to Fort Benton, Montana back then and he met my Blackfoot grandmother phillisy , and so the family begins,
AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been hollering this for years! Makes no sense....to turn your damn backs on your own country but give and give to other countries! Stupid stupid stupid!!!!!
Amber dear, we all will be going home about the fall of this year, 2o18, bless you so much, see you all at home, may the joy of the Lord be your strength, see yuall at home. Pippi queensland Australia.xxx
I KNOW SINCE I WAS BORN I WAS TAUGHT TO SHARE WITH ALL WHOM COME YOUR WAY, AND I DO TILL THIS DAY, GOD GAVE ME THE BEST WISH OF ALL KNOWLEDGE FROM MY ONLY ONE GREAT HIGH FATHER THE ONE WHOM TAUGHT ME MY WAY STILL THIS EVER SINGLE DAY I TRY TO HELP OTHERS DAILY, NO MATTER WHERE I WALK THANKS FOR GOD
Christian Appalachian Project already does this. You can sponsor a child, or a family, or you can just give your money, and mark the box, 'where it's needed most'.
I JUST VERY GLAD THEIR ARE PEOPLE OUT THERE THAT TRULY CARE FOR THE THE PEOPLE IN NEED THESE PEOPLE THAT I SEE ARE GOD SENT TO ALL ALL YOU CAN SAY IS THANK YOU TO THOSE WHOM REALLY CARE NEVER GIVE UP HOPE BECAUSE GOD IS WATCHING US ALL FROM A VERY HIGH DISTANCE WE CAN'T HIDE ONLY SERVE THEIR BOTHERS AND SISTERS
I wish they would do something like this in Owen County Kentucky because our only factory has closed and many are without jobs. My sister is raising 3 of her grandchildren and cannot afford anything for them. She is barely able to feed them. God bless organizations like these!
Only imbeciles could dislike this heartfelt documentary. (Sorry for my harsh words, its just so annoying)... There are good folks in this world that help others. We cannot depend on the government, we need to depend on others and ourselves, especially when times are tough. God bless. ✝️🙏
Thank you for this. I know so so many people who could use the help for sure. I am from Morgan Co. Tn. Morgan Scott project would be one to get in touch with in this area.
What you do is an inspiration to us all. There is nothing more beautiful than a child's wonder of Christmas. May God bless you all and keep you safe - and I pray that there will be many more Christmases for those who need just a little to make it good for their families, and that they have folks like you there to give that bit of help. If you need a volunteer, and give me a bit of notice (I live in NW Michigan), I'd be happy to help however I can. 🎄🎁✨💖💖💖
god bless the good people that help these poor children, and give them a better life. you are amazing christians!!!!!!!!! there is a special place in heaven for you!!!!!
I love what you guys do. I wish I had the time to commit to something like that and maybe one day I could. Helping others in need and watching them and their faces brings tears because you know they really appreciate it. Keep up the good and hard work, and hopefully this Christmas you all will be able to help the families 🙏. God bless you guys and please God please help us get threw this time of crisis.
Watching this from another country and i am glad someone is doing something for people with very little or nothing. Why is it that there is no one with any power or influence that seems to want free health care and better welfare, not just hand outs but hands up for people that so desperately need it. I think all these people that donate and volunteer are fantastic but why must it always come down to acts of charity.Yes it's better than nothing but all of those people and their children are entitled to more than just a few random acts of charity every year................. So sad, no wonder there are huge drug problems in communities like this,
