I’m glad I came across this video 13 yrs late and damn this talented 11 yr old young lady who is now around 25 yrs old and probably even more talented was a pleasure to watch and hear and I hope I can find more and hear more of her music out there and there probably are because you can’t stop a young talent like that.

Just be proud , live and as we were young even in a talent contest so liery so full of nerves , she stood man , first time seeing this. Last year he got me listening to his music and mainly the river .. not let time pass ..maybe as we did .. the world is changing every day.. a hundred years hopefully their world different than our digging out crayfish fighting preying mantis. Almira , You have true natural talent. I am so sorry your mother was murdered in 2010 . Please make music again. But only if your ready. Your music touched me and helped me heal, maybe it can do the same for you. I can't find anything online about you since your dads first murder trial. You must be an adult now . Maybe 7 years is too soon for you. I will keep making my annual searches to see if your back making music and sharing your gift with the world. I hope you find peace. A longtime fan.
I have watched a lot of Almira video's over the past few days, if she does not step on the stage to accept her first Grammy in the next few years, I will be shocked. This folks, is the total package -singer- musician-songwriter-personalty and stage presence. The venues grow quiet with rapt attention as she performs, then explode into applause at the end of her song. The Amazing Almira... TFCTalent.

I wasn't looking for this...as a matter of fact...my stumbling upon this little "Gal" was shear coincidence... but as Albert Einstein is quoted to have said.." Coincidence is God's way of remaining anonymous." Her sweet harmonic tune in the beginning...caught me first...and THEN... when she belted out the tune...I am blown away...my age 72+ . Wow, that was fantastic ! I just switched over from following storm chasers, on a chase. Ended w/o a tornado 🌪️, but finished with a rainbow 🌈, and then sunny skies, all souls, safe. Amen. I started watching True Crime, on Oxygen channel. Rerun. So I thought, listen to a jam or 2. I click over to U-tube and up, first song waiting for me, Appaloosa, (jj.grey/ mofro) but singing is Appalachia. I'm switching from my phone sound, to blue tooth Sony surround sound, as the protege is being announced. Watched as she strode up to the mic, with a guitar, and a harmonica, and in a month brace, ala, Bruce Springsteen. I'm thinking, she's young. Ten, eleven? Guitar, and harmonica. At the same time, huh ? Alright. And...wow ! She's good. I'm familiar with with the gifts youth are talented with, musically. Had children in school choir, plays with instruments, gifted children playing piano, ala. Emily Lidge. But this child, singing this great song, and playing her guitar and harmonica together, she's really good, I was just loving it, her. I'm waiting as she she's singing for a surprise, and there it came, a little throuty growl, like Melissa Ethridge, gosh, I hope I spelled that right. Yes. The child grabbed that song, and made it her own. Man, I enjoyed that. Got out my own harmonica, and and played along, when she wasn't singing. Gosh that did my heart good. Thank you Miss Appalachia. 🙏 I'll definitely listen to that again, as I'm adding it to my special save, category.
