Halfway Point at the Halfway Point! Awww those beloved white blazes. ❤ I never tire of seeing them and the places they lead to. Bummer when peeps break the rules. We have a lot of illegal ATV activity on our trails in CT, they really damage the trails. Bikes aren't as bad, but still... Have fun at Trail Days! I've always wanted to go. Almost went this year, but just couldn't work it into my schedule. My friends volunteer at the "Hike for Mental Health" booth, Bernadette (Trail name Yardsale) and Charlene (Trail name Kiosk) and Bernadette runs the Lookout Hostel in New Tripoli, PA. Great people. Have a blast IceBear and friends!

That's awful, that the ATVs rip up the trails. This is my first time going to Trail Days. I think the rest of my tramily has all been there before, except for Kaat. I see she's part of your camping alliance now, too! 😁 I'm gonna have to look for your friends now! 😃💚👊

I think I subbed to you first when I was researching the PA A.T., and then I saw Kaat & Nicole and RVA on yer channel, and they all looked cool too, and then Senior and I started commenting on each other's stuff, and my friend PTL hiked the Foothills Trail with Wandering Monk, so I subbed to him too, and here we are! The world is getting smaller!

@@IceBearHalfwayPoint It just seems to be on the spot I'm on, on Vancouver Island that we rarely get thunder and even rarer that we get lightning. It's happened, just not so much. It must have to do with the Island and where the mountains are and it curves those away from us. We still get lots of windstorms and rain though.

I was excited to hear that they don’t allow bikes on the AT! That’s awesome! We have mixed use trails here, and it’s quite scary on the hills as a hiker, the bikes are supposed to yield, but they come down super fast and there’s not way they can stop, if they tried. So, we generally avoid those trails. Great news for all the hikers on the AT!! I’ll have to check if the PCT has a similar rule. lol, you got your shows good and wet… have fun at Trail Days and with your Tramily reunion! 👌🌳🌳💚

Thank you so much! 😃 Bikes on trail are scary. I've almost been hit by them several times. The AT is the longest 'foot traffic only' trail in the world. They work hard to keep it that way. There are signs at every road crossing. Horses aren't allowed on it either. I think they should make specific trails- some for bikes, some for hikes. Then everyone could be safe. I'm excited to see my tramily again! RVA said the first 3 days will be bad reception. I'm headed out today. If you don't hear from me for a little, I hope you have a wonderful week! 😁💚👊

Nice video. There are always people that think they are above the rules. Unfortunately, dogs with an obsession with rocks usually wear their teeth down. We have been getting so much rain that I haven't been able to till my garden. Have a safe trip to and from Trail Days. If you talk to Audrey Payne about her book, say Hi for me. Happy Trails. I've never seen a dog with a rock like that. She wouldn't drop it for anything. It's been raining here for a week. Today is the first hint of sun. I'm hoping to get a good waterproofing on my tent today. I leave tomorrow. I will look for Audrey Payne! 😃💚👊

That was nice to walk with you then😁 I love a forest walk. Must have been a big strong dog. Love how just smash through the puddles. Like how got fresh water to drink there. 😄 Thank you! That cyclist knew, I'm sure. The AT is the longest running footpath-only trail in the US. It's famously known for it. There are signs up everywhere at the road crossings that say "foot traffic only" and "no bikes, atvs, or motorized vehicles". I think he had to use that privy so bad that he didn't care. I couldn't believe that dog carried that rock the whole way. 😄 Life is too short to worry with keeping dry! You keep having fun too, my friend! Love your videos! 😁👊

Luckily my Samsung is waterproof. I've taken it swimming unintentionally a few times. 🤣 Remember when Sweeps got that brand new iPhone for our trip to the PMT with you, and she dropped it in the little waterfall at Slippery Rock? 🤦‍♀️😫🫰

Yup, she sure did! I couldn't believe it. Luckily it worked again after she dried it out for a day.
