Today I installed an Alpine ILX-W650 in my Jeep Wrangler.
Let me tell you something right off the bat...
THESE UNITS ARE BEASTS!
No longer do I have to look at my phone to change songs while driving or to see where I am going! If you guys don't know what android auto or apple carplay is, I suggest you check out some other videos to see its immense capabilities.
The total cost of this installation was around $320 and I think its one of the best mods I have done to this Jeep!

What year is your Jeep? I just bought this unit with the bolt on amplifier. Never installed a stereo before so I'm trying to do my research before I screw it up. Also, I noticed in your links, you used a Pioneer parking brake switch instead of the Alpine. Any reason for the difference? thanks

I am getting this installed by best buy in a couple weeks. I don't know if my car has access for the usb extension through the back also. What is the usb 12 volt adapter you installed in the car charger?

No, that isn’t necessary if you are talking about the wiring

no sir it does not! You have to get the addon kit from crutchfield
