I appreciate how detailed you were with reviewing these cases! I have the silicone case and after 8 months all 4 corners had chunks falling off. It was hell to get it replaced under warranty but they finally did it.

I thought i was the only one with this issue because I have an apple silicone case and the silicone is peeling off and the corners are breaking and the apple logo wore off, its not very good quality

i love the leather case I used for an older iPhone before. you just need to use a leather cleaner and conditioner from time to time to keep it moisturized and remove all those sweat from your hand i used the one for car leather seats :)
To be honest, for me the clear case is the most durable over time, my leather case started peeling after a few months, and my silicone case had deep cuts/scratches in it, there was shine around the corners, and the plastic skeleton was exposed from peeling on the screen side. Whereas the clear case had no significant damage
I bought all 3 originally. Returned the clear case because of fingerprints. Silicone id use sparingly because dust sticks to it and it’s hard to get in and out of pockets. Leather is the best imo Edit: if it’s peeling I bet you can return it to the apple store for a new one. Patina is one thing, color peeling is another.
Those are all valid concerns, can’t blame you for returning the clear one. I’ve tried the warranty route for a previous silicone case on my XS Max and that was a nightmare. I took several phone calls and I kept getting told they were shipping a new one but they never ended up doing so. After that, I’ve given up on their warranty process for a while. The leather case after you use it for a while starts to get some crazy comfy grip that I can’t explain even in my opinion better than the silicone case that feels sticky hard to pull out of the pockets even to put it in your pocket

I found a ton of official apple silicone cases for the 12 pro max at a liquidation store because they were overstocked. They were $20 each, instant buy
I have just swapped my clear case for a cheap synthetic one. Best thing I did. Picking up the phone was uncomfortable, hard to grip. The synthetic case has grip and without MagSafe seems to lighten the phone.
The apple one doesn’t yellow for atleast 6-10 months because the materials are harder than the usual soft tpu material, but the bottom of the case starts to split after removing it so many times.
Very good video. Bit sad about the drop in quality for the leather cases, I've had one for over 2 years on my iphone 7 and it is absolutely great, it looks just as it did brand new, while I always heard bad things about the silicon cases. The 13 cycle seems to be the same as the 12 one, at least in appearance looking at them online, I wonder if they fixed the problems with the leather one and/or if the silicon is still just as good as the 12 cycle.
Dude i was furious one day and launched my 12 about 40 ft in the air falling to a concrete road, and the silicone case prevented it from a single crack.
Up until this phone, the leather cases have been my favorite cases. They’re even better now without the bottom being cutout, but the silicone is just so good now. Thank you for checking out the video!
I just bought the leather case, for $79 Canadian…. Hoping it’s worth it! I got in the dark purple colour so here’s to hoping the wear and tear isn’t as noticeable

Can’t go wrong with leather, they look and feel great! I think the cracking/peeling around the trim of the leather case, along with the silicone having fixed the issues I had with the previous versions, put the silicone above the leather this year for me. The silicone being a lint magnet is still an issue though, no doubt. Thank you for checking out the channel!

Does also seem silly to have instructions but if you dont install it buttons first which most people just jam it in there, the buttons do rip into the leather / silicon and on older phones like the 5s the constant applying of the leather case incorrectly lead to a lot of power button faults.
Got the clear case used for $7. There’s fine print saying it wouldn’t work with the Wallet and it’s true 😂. Doesn’t detect it on my iPhone 12ProMax. May get silicone. Had one but wasn’t MagSafe
I have the clear and leather in cherry on my 13 pro. I prefer the leather in the hand, but like how I can see the phones colour in the clear. The most important thing for me though is the MagSafe. With the soft leather any MagSafe accessory (such as my pop socket) it did create a denting and my MagSafe charger burned a slight ring into it. This obviously doesn’t happen with the clear case. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Is for that reason I do tend to use my clear case more than my leather.
Immediately returned the clear case; waaay to slippery; went for the Silicone. Whats the point of dropping your phone by having it slip out of your hands with a case that should be grippy?
Dude... You don't wipe real leather with alcohol!! You are damaging it while you try to clean. Have i mentioned the leather case it leather, naturally it will get some expected damages and will patina also? Cheers.
thanks a lot, i found your video a bit late and have already purchased the silicone case, however ,it is going back today because it attracts too much lint and dust. I'm going for leather one in blue instead of clear because i used clear case for the 11 and it was a disaster trying to take them off. I almost broke a fingernail. Still i like the open bottom part but i kinda like the leather case l once used with my 7. Can you please provide your idea which i should go for?
