My husband fell in love with this cake. I made it for him in the lockdown of 2020 when he was very depressed. Since then he always mentions how he much loved it! It's his favorite cake ! So I came back !! Thanks a lot

While the apples were in the pan I spooned out some of the juices and later added those to the batter. It was only a few tablespoons but it gave a subtle apple flavor to the actual cake part as well.

I made this recipe but it barely had any sugar in it! I would definitely recommend adding an extra 1/2 cup of sugar to the batter

You can really tell they are commercial eggs, such a pale yellow. Home free range chickens/chooks have bright orange yolks. You can also tell it’s not Australian butter as ours are made from pasture fed cows which produces yellow butter. Great recipe though.
