EP. 1254 - Apple has a BIG secret. Apple has a big secret that will change everything this year. This episode was sponsored by our friends at Keeps! Save your hair today at keeps.com/frontpagetech
I agree. The subject captures my attention in every episode, but the vibes and aesthetics make me stay. I am really looking forward to the next documentary as well!
the problem right now with AI is getting HARDWARE, to train run etc, apple has positioned themselves where they don't rely on other companies like Nvidia for this, you need GPUs and apple is essentially building their own integrated GPUs... I think this comment makes a lot of sense.
@@ComfyChromawe thought guy was looking down and laughing but he was looking at her stomach as apples new AI-Uterus pro is cooking in the woman as they speak
@@pondeify no shit he didn't "reveal" anything. He's not some insider. The point is he's explaining how apple is setting everything up in a way that's easily understandable
@@SicariusYT what exactly did he 'explain' - that Apple bought 30 AI companies? that's not exactly new information. this video was about as useless as i've seen. i wish YT would stop recommending trash
@@pondeifyoriginal comment just expressed how the way this channel talks about news is nice- they appreciate the video style. What do you mean “so what?” ? There’s nothing else, just someone leaving a nice little comment.
@@goglioarturoyepez5142 if you prefer style over substance it would be better to use tiktok. the video is highly misleading - it should be labelled as pure entertainment and not anything actually informative.
What, you aren't satisfied with asking Siri to call someone you call every day, and having Siri instead call your ex-girlfriend you haven't talked to in 10 years? Is that not enough for you?!? /s
@@ReidStadyI asked Siri to set a reminder for 12pm on Friday have an appointment..,and all she did was pull out Apple Maps…she’s outdated and stupid we need to give her an AI brain
I remember in 2020 when Craig was asked in an interview about a potential “Apple Glass”, and he sarcastically answered, “I have no idea what you’re talking about…”, with a very unusual laugh. Now, see where we are. You’re so right, Jorn!
Bro… I’m sure this goes all the way back to them putting LiDAR sensors on iPads and Phones… they even mentioned object pinning (and occlusion too possibly) in a keynote years ago when they demoed those AR games. Thin slices of this tech have been rolled into devices for years.
It’s gonna be nutty, in the video he said, what, went as far back as FOUR years before we even got original Siri.?? Nuttiness indeed.@@QnjtGWonQNqVsbYyzjx4
@@ScottJohnson80 Bold of you to assume that the extremely lonely doesn't account for the majority of people. There's a reason why porn is a multi-billion dollar industry. The tech companies just need to get it right and make it cheap. Humans will find ways to destroy humanity with their own hands.
siri will become local AI. Apple does not want to enable AI, where users data is being transfered to a server, responded by AI back to the phone... It must run on the device.
Indeed. That would just be the ideal way to do AI anyway. Democratized AI assistants that are personal that can interact with the cloud or general AI, but run on-device.
@@samuelcarvalho3691is their defense, when compared to existing ar/vr headsets, the Vision Pro is capable of putting a screen up anywhere, in fact multiple, and they stay LOCKED in place. I tried it myself, and I’ve tried the quest 3, the difference in their capabilities is vast. Apple’s headset is doing like 100x the amount of actual 3D computing than the quest 3, whose pass through mode is pretty mid, real bad screen lag when moving around, and you are only limited to 3 windows in a generally fixed position in front of you. So yea, spatial computing is a good name. And because of how sharp the vision pro’s screens are, compared to the quest 3, Apple calling it augmented reality makes sense, and calling quest 3’s version artificial reality also makes sense. I keep using this a lot cause everyone chooses to compare the AVP to the Quest 3.
When Apple reveals their A.i. solution it will be something new for Apple consumers that Google and Samsung can copy. Only reason other companies are saying "Apple is falling behind" is cause they themselves are looking for Apple to lead again.
Can’t wait for dubdub! Lol and yeah, I sensedt some sarcasm in that but it is Apple and it is what they do, They’re the only ones that exist to them the same way that in that Tesla interview Elon when asked, he said no serious competition, (Preamble to the Apple car finally stepping up into the Tesla throne!?!?🥳👀🥳) and very exciting and also hilarious but exciting nonetheless 😆 @@cypvh74
No one’s done completely localized AI processing yet. It’s all done in the cloud, where security and privacy concerns start surfacing. Apple has slowly positioned themselves to fully pull off complete localized AI. I’m 99% certain that’s what their take of AI is going to be.
Didn't really like your videos before, but I think the quality has gotten a lot better since i've watched. Damn that's a good video. Really a level up. Good job.
Microsoft is literally a major stakeholder in the most performant model's (chatGPT 4), openAI. Pretty important thing to miss when mentioning Microsoft
Pandoras box! Im filling these things under 'Be careful what you wish for, you might just get it' And I'm also with Mr Weasley from the Harry Potter books; 'Don't trust anything, if you can't see where it keeps it's brain.'
I want to believe but the two leading LLM's took a long time to develop with Bard(Gemini) should not have been launched at all as not ready for prime time. So I think a "non" LLM is more likely from Apple on the edge vs. on the cloud. We see but I agree it is not usually wise to doubt AAPL. Wld love to buy the stock down in the 160's into the June WDC announcement.
John I have been a fan, a subscriber to FPT FOR VERY LONG TIME . Your videos feel like a college class on Apple and technology . I want to say the rest are like high school classes and I love them too. But your videos are special and I make sure I’m never late to class lol thank u and keep the conversation going and I will show up to class
If you ask Siri for content stored on your device (contacts, media, etc) it actually works whereas Google Assistant barely even tries. That's maybe the only place where Siri is better.
Oh my god this video is absolute cinema. Guys, I’m repeating myself, I know, but for real tho Jern and Bern you guys are amazing and what you’ve been doing with the channel is phenomenal. Props to you once more
I agree about the breadcrumbs. They’ve added so many AI and ML components sporadically and none of them have been interesting/helpful. It will be interesting to see how they tie it all together. It can’t be any worse than Copilot, etc.
This is the first time EVER, that I felt chills on what any company could do about technology, and considering what Apple could do with their already existing ecosystem, I feel is going to be WILD.
I think your absolutely right Jon. People think of siri as the only ai Apple has produced, but they have already done so much in ML/AI: photonic engine, live transcription (in voicemail, FaceTime accessibility, and Podcasts), siri suggestions, App Store algorithms, live lyrics for Apple Music, and more
yeah, i've been noticing every single marketing page for new apple hardware mentioning somewhere (never near the top) about how it's new SoC will power better AI operations. every single iphone, macbook, ipad, whatever has dedicated AI hardware onboard. they've been using it and planning for expansion for a long time.
My theory as to why Siri sucks so bad is that they have probably known for years now that they had something big up their sleeve that would ultimately replace and/or revamp Siri entirely and so they really stopped putting much effort into Siri while they developed AI integration behind the scenes.
The videos where you've toned down your ridiculousness are all 100% certified bangers. I don't even use Apple products anymore and your videos have me wanting to put my apple watch back on. Keep it up.
It's not the number of companies that Apple acquires, it is the quality of the companies. 100 startup companies doesn't exactly match 50 high end companies that Google has acquired. Typical Apple BS sales pitch here.
Ya this video was a pile of crap. Here I’ll summarize the whole thing: “omg guys I bet when Apple finally releases their AI it’s gonna be so cool!!!!” Lmao like that’s literally all he said. Like ok??? Hahaha
I subscribed to FPT back in the days of the Pixel 3 leaks. I’ve always been impressed with how Jern delivers the news, but this video here is gold. This is like Johnny Harris type journalism.
A company that acquires 30+ startups dedicated to some tech in one single year is probably trying to catch up desperately, not executing a well thought plan designed years ahead
I just want my Siri to decide if I need to unlock my iPhone to turn off the fucking light. The first time she asks to unlock second time I ask she does it
• Universal Control • Lidar on iPhone cameras • Face ID (which is the Microsoft Kinect tech, miniaturized - they acquired PrimeSense in 2013) • Spacial Audio • Auto Stitch Panoramas • Double Tap on Watch Series 9 ^all Vision Pro features they’ve been testing on us & normalizing in the wild before the shift.
Bro is not the drama setup by your voice tone, nor the post-production of your videos; is your thought - the content you put out is extremely amazing, interesting and realistic. You think tech in an unmatched way on RU-vid.
I had a hunch that the “watercolor” effect people have been complaining about out as of iPhone 13 might have some link to AI, like some kind of new image format with levels of data and utility beyond a basic image file.
