Yes, until iOS 18, Siri would give me a complete weather forecast, including temperature range and conditions. After the iOS 18 update, all I get from Siri now is "it will be cloudy today" or "it will be sunny today". So, Siri actually got dumber.
That these features were not available at launch is really lame. And the Iphone 16 was designed for the new Siri but will not fully launch until next year sometime is just an absolute joke.
The iPhone 16 was designed as an iPhone to launch in September like every other year. Stop falling for marketing nonsense. Stop repeating marketing nonsense. At no point in this phones actual development where the engineers designing anything for "Apple intelligence" This phones hw platform was almost certainly done when apple was still out there shopping the market for AI software deals. Phone designed for Apple intelligence! LOL. The tech community used to be smarter than most other markets. Mow the tech community is about as bright as a TV preachers home audience buying 50 gallon drums of whatever crap they're selling this year

It's a language issue, the training data for large language models is mainly in English. I honestly don't know *how* they want to roll it out to countries with very little training data online Swiss german for example is mainly spoken, hardly written. But informal communication is very often written swiss german - but that is not publicly available. Even if you limit Apple Intelligence to say German, many place names are in French or Italian and need to be pronounced accordingly
The best feature I’m looking forward to is being able to mark out certain objects in a photo👍 what you showed however does not look like they’ve got it working very well yet. This is sad because there are third-party Apps that can already do this.
@@jrelitedk1814nah, that’s useful asf easy to take a picture holding a drink in one hand and taking a pic on another. U just have to learn to use it. If you’re not a photo taker than ofc you’ll hate.
@@jrelitedk1814i thought i wouldn’t use it, but i do regularly. just to open the camera though nothing else. i come from android where i double click the lock button to open cam. im a shortcuts guy idk, double lock for tap pay, camera button for camera, hold action for orientation lock. in camera the button is annoying
I’ve got the 16, but not really that bothered about apple intelligence. I only got the 16 because I was due an upgrade from the 13. Apple intelligence certainly wasn’t a factor for upgrading.
Im really happy with the 16, I’m sure there will be some features I will use with apple intelligence. I’m just saying it wasn’t really a reason for upgrading.
Still have a 13 Pro and feel no reason to upgrade unless I have $$$ burning a hole in my pocket to give to Apple just because. Apple AI is something you can do with the Google app on the iPhone has been doing for 10 years now. Sad this is Apple's half assed attempted to catch up at this point honestly.
@Aron, You have to join the waitlist to get approved and then the Siri icon will change and then you can do what you are saying. It will not come by default. FYI

So what do we get on older iPhones with 18.1? It’s very nice to continuously demo new features in so called Apple Intelligence but to 95% of users in the world these limited features are pretty much irrelevant it seems. it would be interesting to do a video using an older iPhone to see what the rest of us can expect! 😮
is the double tap on the bottom of the phone to have the keyboard pop up for Siri associated with apple intelligence? If not how do I set that up on my phone

LOL,no they aren’t! Have you used any of their half baked gimmicks? I have an s24U and there is nothing that is ahead of the game except for occasional glitches, stalls etc that are common with ANY Android device.
The fact that half way through next year we'll still be getting what's promised from iOS 18 makes me wonder if there will be iOS 19 at all with the next iPhone lineup.
All the mentioned updates are only applicable for iphone 15 and above or could it be applicable to 18.0.1 beta versions. As I have iPhone 13 and unable to see these updates, I have updated software to 18.0.1, beta 4 is also there but didn’t update it, as apple is not recommending till its final version release. Pl reply how I can get this as I need proofreading, image cleanup and email crux reader.

They still need to fix the wallpaper option. When I browse my photos and I see a photo I want as a wallpaper you don’t get the option. You’ll have to set it as a lock screen wallpaper. To actually choose you have to go through settings then wallpaper. I hate that.
I will be using it, the only way these things can get better is if they get used so that we can point out issues. And I don't want everything they promise just a few conveniences that are important to me.
I’m writing a novel and proofreading has been invaluable! Biggest problem though is it’s not integrated into Pages yet, so I have to copy passages into a blank mail-in order to see the changes. Really hope they add it to Pages soon!

Hi Aaron, I’m inquiring about iOS 18.1 beta 6 on my iPhone 16 Pro Max. Have you experienced any touchscreen lag? At times, it doesn’t respond properly for me. Also, it seems like they’ve removed the automatic Wi-Fi connection feature, before it was when I click on the specific network and turn off the automatic connect now it’s disappeared
Anyone doing the single year upgrade has me scratching my head if you have the 15 Pro line. I’m very excited because the Apple intelligence launch is basically like getting a new phone

Looking really forward to having this added to our phones. I was sorry that a lot of these features did not come out just with the initial release of iOS 18 but I guess you can’t have everything. If I could on an unrelated note on my Apple Watch nine, when I did the update of the iOS the screen lost contrast and I check with Apple and they said they had not had any reports of it but it’s I’m a photographer and I know the difference between brightness and contrast and use it all the time, but it had to probably a 40% loss in contrast which makes the colors look a little wimpy. I was wondering any of your other subscribers mention anything like that. Thanks in advance for any replies.
I'm curious as to what features the non 15 Pros/16/16 Pros will get. I know my 14 Pro won't get the upgraded Siri/intelligence, but will it at least get the better looking animation and type to siri feature? Great video as usual!
I mean let’s be honest… that whole “designed from the ground up” line is pretty much marketing BS. Especially considering the features will work on the 15 Pro, AND the main difference between the two is a camera button that no one really thinks was a great idea.
Improved battery life, cellular reception and heat dissipation is worth mentioning here. 16 pro max is just an enhanced and polished version of 15 pro max. Even 17 pm will be the same with all 3 rear cams being 48mp or just front being 24mp. Major design change will be there only on 18pm and 18pm will be more costlier than 18pro. Just my speculation. Until and unless samsung galaxy ultra surpasses iPhone in all aspects, we can't expect apple to release their innovative upgrades to public. Apple will have all these ready in pipeline. Will deploy when needed!
I've found you can get the writing tools in a lot of 3rd party apps without any updates on their part by highlighting text and then in the small options that pops up (such as copy, paste, search web, translate, etc) there will be a writing tools option and it'll work the same way. I've tried in Discord and Apollo (which obviously hasn't been updated in forever lol) and it works fine.
first I would like to let you know I enjoy all your videos they are such a godsend to let us know what Iphone is all about. I am disappointed that I'm the owner of a IPHONE 14 pro max and wont be able to enjoy the new SIRI 2.0. I know there's always advancements with the Iphones but the somewhat newer phones like the 14 we should be able to enjoy some of the newer features like the new SIRI 2.0. Enjoy your phone dude, there’s always going to be the new shiny thing. I just upgraded from the 11 pro max and I didn’t even check any iPhone things until last year. At the end of the day it’s a tool, AI imo will still take quite a few more years to actually become like an assistant. You got at least 2 more good years with that phone.
Apple Intelligence seems more like a want than a need. i didn't find any parts about it that were blowing me away and an absolute necessity in my life, which is now making me reconsider my 16 Pro Max purchase.
