DetroitBORG do you think it's worth it to get one before its sold out in apple?i have ipod nano 5th gen,i really love it.the only thing i hate bout ipod is the battery life.im also have the sony walkman hi res walkman.love it too but sony walkman interface is horrible.there are no favorite playlist, its really annoying if you have thousands of songs.
I've had my 4G nano since 2008(?) and it starting to fall apart. *cries* I'm debating between getting the 7G nano or the new Sony Walkman. I really don't want to get an iPod touch. I like the small size of the 7G nano and the Walkman, and I like the simplicity without the extra apps (I only need it to listen to music), but I really don't want another touchscreen device. They need to re-release the older iPod nanos before they completely discontinue them so I can get another 4G nano!
My dad loved this ipod so much. I loaded it up with all of his favorite songs and I think he used the ipod almost every single day. He passed this winter and I was given his ipod...I was shocked to see how pristine it still was. He had it for many years and yet it looked absolutely brand new. No scratches or dings anywhere. I have no real use for it because my iphone just does so much more...but I like how I can use my airpods with them. It's cool too because it's red and white which perfectly matches my car, so I love plugging it into my car's stereo. Not sure why I'm sharing this lol. It was kind of touching to see just how much my dad took care of this little thing. It meant so much to him...and I love it just for that.
I got one of these when it came out. I loved it, I would listen to music and watch Season 1 of Doctor Who. It was great and I finally found it again after all this time. It’s been reborn for me almost. Hearing the iPod was discontinued saddened me and made me feel like those times were gone.
Im glad I picked up the 5th gen nano when it was out, by far the best nano they released. It had every feature that these 6th and 7th gen nano's are choosing to leave out
I have the iPod Nano 3rd Generation since it launched. One of my first Apple devices. It was the best thing I could have at the time. I loved it and it still works amazingly.
ZeN00B i can understand that. I currently have an iPod Touch 5. After iOS 7, my iPod has been real slow. Now seeing it with iOS 8, I don't see any patches for it to have it run at least the speed of how it was when i first bought it. & after hearing pppl saying to not update iOS 8 on the iPhone 4S makes me think in the near future, my iPod will perform slower even with the latest software.
Mr. Nuggets it will never happen. they already have the Apple watch if you want a loop watch. it will never happen because it will be cheaper than the Apple watch.
I just bought the new iPod nano in blue a few days ago. This video was great as I don't like reading instructions. I figured out most of it by myself, but the video helped with some details. My first iPod nano was the generation 4, and this is my first new one since then. I love it! I love the Bluetooth capabilities and the addition of photos, videos and fitness. My old gen 4 iPod nano didn't have enough GB to hold all of my music, so I upgraded specifically for the 16GB. I've already downloaded all my music plus over 7,000 photos and some videos. There are still tons of GBs remaining. It's absolutely worth the $149. as I will keep this for years just like I kept my nano gen 4 since 2007; in fact, it still works great, and I may keep it for fun. Or maybe I'll pass it on to a friend who doesn't have one. I love the slightly smaller size as I use it when I run or workout. Thanks for the great tutorial!!!
The earphones with the remote also has a microphone in it, and there's really not much use for a microphone with an iPod nano. Also, since the iPod nano isn't one of the top of Apple's priorities, they're not gonna care about making earphones +remote without microphones
RichAndBlind 63 considering it but would it work with AirPods, I mean yes it’s Bluetooth but also because I bet they stopped supporting the software for it
They cost so much coz they've got to pay the factory workers and staff that sold it to you. They also have to the people who designed the iPod and with all that they have to bump it with the price of the parts.
This iPod Nano is perfect for gym if you're going to use wireless bluetooth headphones with it. Also, a case with a built-in belt clip is perfect too for those jump training movements, playing basketball, etc. Getting these tomorrow!
I know how to read ebooks or text documents on this nano. all you have to do is take a screen shot of a document and put it on iphoto, then sync it as a photo, but label it as an ebook. Your welcome
it's 2022 and I still really want one of these. don't really have a use for it being as I have the newest iphone.. but it's just something I've always wanted as a teenager.
iPods have come a long way... I remember when I was getting inducted into beta club in 9th grade in 2005, my parents told me they'd buy me anything I wanted. I wanted a lime green iPod mini. I thought it was the coolest little thing and all my friends wanted to play around on it.. Back when they still had click wheels. Seems like yesterday but that thing would be considered a dinosaur now. It's kinda sad :(
I love the 3 and 5 ipods. I had an ipod classic for at least 8 years its such a great ipod and holds a lot of music. The 5 gen. is great too but it doesnt work on some computers so I didnt get to use it for a long time but I loved it. Since my ipod classic 3 gen. stoped working I got the 7 gen. ipod and its pretty great so far I am very happy to have it.
I am watching this because I am going to get one for my birthday... Thank you so much for making such a detailed review! I really like the way you do this, and even if someone’s bored watching this (which no one should😁😆) they can always just skip forward! Love this😂😝❤️❤️😁😆😉
2020. I’m getting this iPod. Because the native radio app (that doesn’t need Internet connection). And it’s SO tiny and comfortable for running while listening to music.
It's a shame they discontinued this and decided to keep the iPod touch instead which is pretty stupid considering everyone has phones! This was one of the most portable mp3 players with built in Bluetooth, it's perfect for workouts, car aux, and just music listening in general.
you're right but the reason this ipod blows donkey ass is because of the touch screen which is worthless when you're working out and the doubleclick/trippleclick crap that's nearly impossible to use under any athletic conditions.
Can someone answer this question please? I understand why people would want a iPod Nano, for music obviously. But why who wan'ts a camera, wifi, bluetooth, and such on a Nano? It's turning into an iPhone lol.
+SoloSynQ I have the 5th gen nano and I strap it to my drone to record as it is so light and fairly good quality video. If the 7th or even 6th gen had a camera then I would think about buying one.
I ligit just got an apple ipod nano today and I had no idea that I could change the clock face thing. Thanks for the video which you posted on youtube when I was 5
At least there's more memory storage than the original ones. My 2nd gen had only 4gb for the same price so at least it's scaled to memory inflation. There's a few features that weren't in it a decade ago. I also prefer this shape, it's like my 2nd gen. All the ones since seem a little .... off.
For me there is different types of apple nostalgia this iPod nano is iPhone/ iPad nostalgia during 2007 - 2012 and Mac/ iPod nostalgia is 2000 - 2007. This is a very cool iPod I would like to own one along with my 2005 iPod nano
Most people say the 5th generation was more better, but in my opinion, the 7th generation is more better because it's like a mini iPod Touch and has bluetooth as well.
If you don't know how to spend your money go for it. else just buy Sony OR get sansa clip from sandisc. maybe they aren't looking as cool as ipod but damn, the sound quality is unmatchable (on with rocksbox). But hey will you trust random stranger from internet or Apple's marketing?
I guess people are so used to their phones nowadays, they ask whether the iPod nano connects to WiFi, whether it can get Spotify or Apple Music, some even asks how to put music into this thing.
get used to the ipods that are left.....nano's are next on the chopping block.....Zune died, ipod classic has died.....android phones and iphones simply killed mp3 players.....the only mp3 players you can still buy or those cheapy sandisk mp3 players....
Where's the click-wheel????? I'm going to buy a 4th gen Nano through eBay, since I lost my 2G nano when I moved! the 4G was the last good generation of the nano line. 1G:good 2G:Colors! good 3G:squared nano: okay 4G: BEST - good size, good features 5G: large screen why? video camera WTF? 6G: nano shuffle?!?!?! 7G: wtf is that? a small iPod touch?
The 5th generation has the best features. The bigger screen helps. Plus it has an fm radio and better video battery life. The ipod nano 4 has 4 hours of video and ipod nano 5 has 5 hours. Whats wrong with having a video camera on it.
pero con ese paquete quien no se cree premiun?? Oswald Moreno Mario Rodriguez si los fabricantes de android dieran una presentacion asi apple ya no existiera, y ahora quiero un ipod nano xDD
I just bought myself a ipod nano since growing up i always wanted one and i never got it. Now me in 2023 i worked my butt off for enough money for one at last 🎉
