ChatGPT is not integrated into Apple ecosystem or a person’s device, not until that person wants to use ChatGPT for their tasks. So it’s like a person downloading an app online instead of the App Store then blame Apple for what happened to their device … Smah 😮. As for Elon, he is still mad about OpenAI ambitions and strategies. Let’s be honest OpenAI is far ahead of the rest.

It's not OPEN AI so no chance, ask yourself WHY is it not open source? There's your answer. No matter the encryption, they write the encryption not you. I don't trust that.

Apple's use of OpenAI is simply as a third party AI provider - much like Google search was a third party search provider. In the future, Apple will probably allow a whole host of third party AI providers - provided they agree to the no logging, profile building, and are willing to accept anonymized requests.

Apple hasn’t released the integration details for ChatGPT - so it’s entirely possible that Apple has licensed GPT4 from OpenAi and is running it in their own isolated and secure datacenter with no connection at all back to OpenAi. Muss statement about security was completely ridiculous. He was just lashing out due to jealosy and ignorance.

It’s not embedded in the OIS…cool your jets, Elon. Once Elon gets Grok up and running, Apple will have that AI assistant available to apple users as a ‘choice’ addition. These AI models will be available like we use different search engines.
