That shot at 9:55 is amazing. His logo in the background out of focus gets refracted into focus through the liquid. I'm not sure if he planned that or if it's just a happy accident, but it looks great.

I had a cool idea for a much better, more “permanent” UV tank! Start with a fish tank of the appropriate, useable size. Clean the glass on the outside of the tank thoroughly, removing any and all residue (fingerprint grease, soup, label adhesive, or whatever is present, it’s very important to clean the surface of the glass first). Then, apply a silver mirroring paint (which available in many places that sell spray paint, as well as online) or, if you want to be fancy, a 2-part mirroring kit. You can cut the lid of the tank to accommodate the lights, of make your own from another sheet of glass of clear plastic, with the same mirroring technique used on the rest of the tank. It would be 100% reflective, and so more uniform and effective, and safer to use, as all IV light would be contained.

I can put forth the effort to brush some dust off while this guy restores a keyboard, documents every step of the process, and adds stop motion transitions. Byotiful.

Great restoration. I started getting into mechanical keyboards in August 2022 and have really enjoyed the hobby. This keyboard is awesome, I would love to have one if only for the nostalgia.

Great video. I'm always amazed that the blacklight H2O2 bleaches so well, even if not ditectly in the light. One suggestion, you should leave a single key unbleached as a reminder of the restoration.

The retro-bleaching might get a lot faster if you don't place glass between the UV source and the H2O2 solution. Glass generally absorbs a lot of UV. Nice video, i love you projects and your style :)
