Hi about 30€ ram, 40€ cpu, 70€ ssd, 50€ gpu. Firmware was already 2.1 but its pretty easy to do, just run an upgrade tool as you can see in a lot of videos on RU-vid

So you are running El Capitan. What will you do when the packaage/app install+web certs expire later this month? This is the best machine I've ever owned- would like to keep using it until Apple makes something interesting again, if ever.
igot my from a recycling center pput windows 10 on it run great as a litlle gaming pc specs are : 2x X5365 xeon quad core 3.0 ghz 1x kingston 128g ssd 2x seagate 1tb hard drive in raid 0 1x amd sapphire 7950 2g mac pro edition 8x 4gigs of ecc DDR2 ram (32gigs total) you should keep your upgrade to a 2.1 firmeware and install windows 10. best computer i have ever got

Thanks for the video man. I bought a new razer blade 17 pro laptop ( latest version) but still love my Mac pro 2006 but now I've been having start up issues with loud fan noise. It won't turn on. I opened it up but just don't know how to get to the power supply fan. I'm buying a second hand one and will really like to get it fixed to access my files on my old one. Any helps and tips would be much appreciated mate.
A Mac Pro 5,1 can run an actual MacOS with a little help of the "Open Core Legacy Patcher". A 3,1 or 4,1 will do it with somr issues, a 1,1 and 2,1 won't because of the 32bit Firmware. But all of them are running fine with Win 10 or Linux.
Hi, why not install Windows 10 or 11, at least that is an upto date operating system? Would your new graphics card be compatible with Windows anyhow can you say?
Why not install Windows? Because if they just wanted a Windows machine, they wouldn't have bought an Apple Mac in the first place? Because they like Mac OS?

this is a great video. I currently have a MAC PRO i am looking to upgrade it's parts to the latest possible upgrades i can upgrade it to . I have a MAC Pro: Processor: 2 x 2.33, Memory: 32GB, GeForce 7300 GT 256MB. For the OS i have Lion 10.7.5 with a total of 7TB HD divided into 3 hd's. (4TB, 2TB, 1TB). I am very much interested in upgrading it as close as i possibly can with the latest OS, hardware, CPU and ram i possibly can. Any ideas/suggestions as to how i can do that or what would you recommend. Your help is much appreciated.
Just refurbished a macpro 2006 and it works great(2,1 El Capitan). Use it mainly for video editing and storing music. what’s a good capture card to stream video games from console? Just downloaded a legacy obs and did a quick test livestream and it works.
Why not transfer the cooling ribs of the original Apple memory to the new memory modules? (Apple said it developed those for better cooling and a more slient computer.) Does the Macpro 1,1 accept 8 GB memory modules? I see those are coming down in price now. (Sure, they eat a lot of electricity.)
If you are still interested in they whys its because you cant really take them off I personally wonder why he didnt reuse them so he would have 20 gigabytes of ram since its all DDR2 FB-Dimms at 667mhz and yes they take 8 gig sticks
What to do, I had El Capitan when I bought Mac Pro 1.1, since I don’t understand the OS at all and this is my first experience, I entered iCloud, after which I got into the app store, I had a notification about possible system updates, I pressed install, after which the Mac rebooted and started the installation, but then after completion, I was transferred to Utilita Mac OS X and there are 4 options there: 1 restore the system from a copy (I did not have a copy there) 2 Reinstall Mac OS completely on Lion 3 help safari and 4 had something to do with memory drives. What to do? Please help, I don't want to completely reinstall the entire system and I'm playing with the installation of El Captain, please help, maybe everything is fine and I can return to the system?
Check if you have multiple os installation drives and boot from your working one. Press shift when powering on and see what options you have. Or you have to reinstall os from recovery like you have seen
Mi Mac torre G5, me enciende la torre, la pantalla no, da negro total, tampoco enciende el teclado para poder configurarlo, da 2 colores rojos adentro cuando se enciende, me equivoqué en colocar un código para quitar contraseña al dar en enter con esa equivocacion que no me di cuenta, se quedó así como lo estoy escribiendo, estaba funcionando y todo bien, pero le quería quitar la contraseña y me sucedió lo que escribo, el como hacer para que el teclado me funcione y entrar a sus datos.
When you indicated Apple FW Flashed 8800 GTS graphics card, what do you mean by saying Flashed? How do I go about having a new graphics card flashed for upgrading this exact same computer. Second question, with adding the SSD card is there anything that had to be done unique in the settings to make SSD card be the booting card? I have this same computer I am considering trying to upgrade for doing flight simming.
Hi, you probably can put together a windows machine with less money and more performance in flight sim. Anyway there are vbios available for specific gpus that make them recognized by the mac pro with all boot screens and functions. No you just put the ssd in and install or copy the os to, then you select it as boot drive in the system preferences or by holding alt while powering on

Immagini giri discretamente per lavori di uffico, qualcosa di grafica 2d etc. ti sconsiglio di usarlo come server h24 in quanto è poco efficiente, consuma molto e conviene molto dì più un mini pc con processori low power moderni. Guarda il mio video sul mini pc fanless, 30w di consumo e 0 rumore
girano bene sia win 10 che 11, installati da zero su un altra macchina mulo, al primo riavvio si spegne, io metto direttamente l'ssd nello slot del mac, tanto è leggero. riguardo i consumi, dipende cosa lo si usa, io lo adopero come server delle ipcamere, misurando con un misuratore di campo(amperometro), consumo massimo 150 watt.
