It’s a battery extender I work over night left the house at 8:30 pm on 100% and it did not let my phone hit 88% everytime I hit 89% it went back to 91% and I used my phone as a gps to work and was on either Spotify or RU-vid my whole shift. The MagSafe died around 6am but I was still on 90% by the time I got home I was on 84%
Thanks for your comment! So I looked around and that’s what some other people are saying too. Will definitely be trying that out instead of using it when iPhone battery runs low 🪫🤣
That’s exactly how it’s intended to be used . It’s a battery extender not a power bank . You shouldn’t use it to charge your iPhone but rather for keeping your phones battery preserved until the puck dies and then you still have your full battery left . One question , does the puck ever get hot ?
I tried it as a battery extender and it definitely worked that way better lol. Regarding does it get hot, I’ve noticed yes and no. It depends on the situation. Like when I tested it in NYC, when my iPhone 12 pro max went from 9% to 59% battery and drained the MagSafe battery pack, the phone and the battery pack were hot. But if I start the day off with the phone battery at 90 something percent, it stayed cool the whole day.
@@jaebee9805 nice! Just lost my power bank getting a new power bank but also getting this magsafe . I plan on charging the magsafe with the new power bank I’m getting for times it does run out that way I’m not charging my phone with the power bank
The battery pack is easily the best power bank for 2 main reasons: extreme convenience and portability. Even other competitive battery packs are not nearly as compact. The small capacity that many complain about doesn't really matter, mainly because it serves to extend the battery life of a phone, not to charge your phone multiple times. And that small capacity is enough to make the phone stay afloat longer for the day!
Just ordered mine today. iPhone 14 Pro battery life is ok for casual use. I'm normally down to 60% for the day after regular surfing on 5G, GPS and camera recording. But I imagine going down to 20% on my travels, especially when smartphones are used in everything we do nowadays.
Cool! Hope the MagSafe battery pack serves you well! One tip is to have it on at the beginning of the day if you think you’ll be out all day. It does better as a battery extender than as a battery pack because it’ll keep your battery around 90% for a good many hours of the day until the MagSafe battery pack empties.
That’s okay! I think this is more so for those with iPhone 12 lineup who saw batteries started dying faster since iOS 16 update 😅 maybe to iPhone 13 people too. If you’re on the iPhone 14 you should be fine unless you see yourself going out all day and need that additional battery boost.
Good to be back bro! That apartment fire 🔥 was a real set up but the channel should come back better and stronger to offer even more helpful content 😊 thanks for being here the whole time!
Yeah. i work alot from my phone: calling clients, sending alot of texts and images; social media uses, screen recordings. So i left my house at 9am, 100% Iphone 14 Pro Max, 100% battery pack... by the time it was 2:30pm, battery pack had died. my phone was at 90% and that's with listening to music using my airpods, airpods for phone calls, screen recordings etc etc so comes in clutch...i feel for me if i were to travel and be ONLY ONLY on my phone somehow having 2 of them would be suffice for me...but yeah so far it's been a good experience
@@realjackeal Great question.... if i remember correctly i believed it was around 11:30pm when i charged it and it was maybe around 10-15% That day in total of screen active time and screen idle time i had a combined time of like 12-13 hours....was prettty crazy ngl and definitely not exaggerating
People say its best to put the battery pack on at the start of your day and it will die the batterypack 1st and keep your phone at 80% to protect your battery
Got it! I tried that and it worked! Kept the phone battery 90% between 7am and 2pm. So not bad! Then the 90% on the phone lasted the rest of the day instead of dying. They should market this battery pack as a battery extender lol

The Apple battery pack is not a charger as such, e.g. it's merely there to keep on the back of your phone keeping it charged for longer and not to charge your phone up from zero etc. 😁
Great and fun video!!!" 🤗❤️🤗❤️🤗❤️ And glad you're replacing things from you fire loss. 🙏🙏🙏 I just bought one a brand this Apple Magesafe charger just on Mercari yesterday brand new never been opened for my iPhone 14 Pro Max because I always wanted one of these I got one for $10.00 on clreance during Christmas at Target not an Apple brand but it's good until I finally got the Apple one. I can't wait for it to come in the mail to start using it. 🤗📱❤
The reason it doesn’t charge all the way is because it’s not a power bank it’s a battery extender so it prolongs your battery when both your phone and pack is at 100 when it drops down to 89 it trickles between 89-91% so when it’s actually the end of the day you have 90% left
Samsung phones have a feature called dual charging. You can use ur phone as a power bank, put the wireless earphones and will charge. Not sure why apple is behind about this tech.
Lol there are apparently two versions of it. I think one where it wasn’t charging enough of the iPhone battery and one where they updated it so now it charges more. It’s good for when you update your iPhone and the battery starts to drain faster 😅
That’s two different questions though? The MagSafe charger while nice does have its limitations. Such as a slightly slower charging speed because of friction/distance between charging parts etc. it’s just cool and is able to connect and disconnect easily without having to pull out a lightning cable.
Add the battery shortcut when you scroll down from the top right of your iPhone. When connected to MagSafe battery pack, long press the battery icon. Adjust settings there. Hope this helps!
Apple would never give you that opportunity to charge everything with one products... That's why they sell different products so they can continue to take your money😅
not wrong, but I've gotta say, the battery pack is fantastic, as it serves the same purpose as a portable power bank, but without any of the inconvenience of power banks!
I think testing the magsafe apple battery with the iphone as to putting it in the pocket and taking it out is such a non sense act!! You know it is just connected via magnet and so naturally we know it will detach one way or another- where is your commen sense - foolish indeed.
DO NOT buy one of these! Just got my 100 bucks back from apple. It just stopped working and there's nothing you can do to fix it. had it 1 month! Loved it till it quit working! I will say Apple refunded mw with no problems.
Ok here’s a shorter review. Battery pack really only worth $15 bucks the apple logo adds the rest. It’s an average battery pack. And I mean very average. Just get a morphie or anker If you want that full charge if you don’t get apple. You welcome.
Not true, while this charger has a much lower Mah, it actually has a much higher voltage than the competition. Furthermore, the software integration and using as an extender (exclusive to Apple) rather than a top up yields amazing results.
haha funny video man. Watch a gew pther videos so you get a feeling what to look into, and also to know (up front) what works and what doesnt. Just a thought
