Most of the products (other than the SE tbh, although it wasn’t really that bad) had my attention. The M1 Ultra mac studio was of course mind blowing, alongside the M1 IPad Air was super cool.I feel like the new iPad Air might break the tablet market in quite a few ways. Even though it’s not that important, the green iPhone 13 trailer looked awesome, of course so did the color of it XD.

It’s somewhat very satisfying to see accomplished tech people guess almost everything wrong

I think the Mac Pro will have a different naming convention and still use a configuration of the M1 chips. For example 2x M1 Ultras will be called X1 or U1 and it’s only available to the Mac Pro

Hey Marques, you should do a vlog style video of you cable managing your desk. Maybe after the new Mac Pro comes out?

At this point idc about the iMac Pro, my prediction is that it is going to be the all-in-one Mac Studio and Pro Display XDR. And there is no way M2 is going to be in the Mac Pro, M2 will be in the next generation baseline MacBook Air, calling it right now!

LOVED hearing the product and price predictions pre-announcement!! Certainly put the Mac Studio and pricing in the BIG SURPRISE box, like WHOA so much cheaper. You don't hear that generally in the RU-vid stratosphere of pundits.

Apple might be last to every feature on a phone but their computers are miles ahead after that presentation.

They'll be able to do 4 dies glued together for the pro product, priced at above 8k (I think above 10-12k, but it will be at least 8k). Which is why I never touched Intel stock, I knew they could glue these dies together, amd, Nvidia and Intel do it. I don't see how you compete with Apple

Apple M1 Ultra with 20-core CPU, 64-core GPU, 32-core Neural Engine 128GB unified memory 4TB SSD storage Front: Two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one SDXC card slot Back: Four Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, one HDMI port, one 10Gb Ethernet port, one 3.5 mm headphone jack At $6,799.00 would be the best bang for the buck to go along with the Pro Display XDR's that you already have. Thing is the cost of the original 1984 Mackintosh adjusted for inflation would now cost $6,502.47. Think the Mac Pro might just might be insane power. Since it is running macOS/UNIX this may be the best scientific tool if you are not using a top of the line Super computers of today. Back in the day the company I was with sold top of the line (at the time) IBM AT maxed out memory running AIX / UNIX to Lawrence Livermore Labs. Why did they do this, and not run simulations on the super computers of the day? They could purchase many IBM AT's to simultaneously run simulations for the cost of one minute of compute time on a super computer. Thing is the iPhone's we have in our pockets put the 1980's Cray supercomputers to same when it come to raw performance. "Think Different"

We just ordered 20x of the Mac Studio Ultra models where I work. I think they are a fair price for corporate customers.

Probably there'd be M1 Extreme in WWDC22 with Mac Pro. And M2 in October Event of 2022 with New MacBook Air Design.

It still baffles me that a LOT of people thought we’d see an M2 anything before we see the highest power M1 chip. That’s just a dumb marketing mistake if it were to happen imo, not surprised at all that it didn’t.

If you get a M1 Ultra Studio with 2 Terabytes is it really two 1 Terabyte Drives? Only think that would be good for is Setting up as RAID. But if your SOC goes bad can you get your data off it. I don’t trust it. Keep separate external data.

Apple doesn’t have to release M2, M2 Pro/Max in a Mac just because they have an M2 Ultra (in a Mac Pro). My guess is that they announce M2 Ultra which is two M2 Max processors AND then in another event when they need to refresh their MacBook, iPad line etc they bring out an updated M2 or M2 Pro/Max.

Why you guys put the TV so high? Is there a purpose for it? Isn't harder to watch like that?

Apple can only get rid of the tower form factor if they build some epic PCIe chassis that has some amazing feature. So many professional work flows absolutely require PCIe interfaces. And Sonnet’s offerings can only do so much.
