Thank you. My son broke his apple pencil tip and you helped me understand it’s a screw off. This helped remove the broken piece stuck inside, which allowed me to replace it!

As much as Apple charges for that pencil they should add a replacement tip. Apple is really wearing out it’s good will. They are too damned much of a clip joint racket, by far now.

I have this paperlike screenprotector and it has pretty rough texture that breaks the apple pencil tip easily. I wouldn't recommend buying that screenprotector, because it also has a weird dot color going on.

My 4 yrs old son dropped and broke Apple Pencil II. The official repair service would charge me 75 bucks as warranty had expired. It turned out to be the tip being broken. Instead of going to the repair service, I bought one online for roughly $3 from Guangzhou. Hopefully it will work.

Do you know if it is possible to use the Apple Pencil tip itself, to DIY a stylus with like, a regular pencil with the lead removed, and maybe like a piece of foil or something to make the electrical connection?

I tried changing the tips for my pen and it didnt work! I dont know if its broken but it looks completely fine can I show you my pen so you can help me fix it? Maybe there is actually something broken but I tried comparing it with my friend's pen and it looks completely the same

The gen 2 pencil is only compatible with iPad Air 4 and iPad Pro 2018 and up

0:45 that's how amazon sent me mine. I had to use the gen 1. Kohls is 1hr bus ride. I didn't have packaging yet. I dont want 4 for $20!!. Considerably the extra tip would be in the closet for many years. I guess it's okay. I mean the gen 1 extra tip.

They are not for iPad Pro, they can be used on any Apple Pencil and iPad that supports Apple Pencil gen 1 or 2

@@puggorblx3694 I understand you think you understand the issue, but too replacement is possible. If there is a small black dot on your tip it’s worn down so replace immediately, if it still don’t work and your pencil has charge, replace the pencil as it’s defective or the sensor is damaged

You may need another tip because eventually the existing one that you're using will wear out, from friction caused by rubbing the tip against the display frequently, though this is normal and should be expected. Also, if you're using a matte screen protector on your iPad specifically for writing, the pencil tip may wear out faster due to the increased friction that the tip is exposed to.

Not all of them are made perfect, return them to apple or contact support so you can get a pack of tips that all work

I just had my apple pencil delivered. The second i opened the box I went to get my iPad and because of the PLASTIC WRAP around the pencil it slipped and fell on the ceramic floor and the tip got flat :(((((((((((((( so now I'm only able to use it vertically until I get the pack of four tips -_-

This happened to me, I got a sewing needle, hammered it into the stuck piece and twisted it out. Def worth giving it a try! Worked for me

@@hannahshaw6015 ohh in my case it got stuck so i went to the apple store and after removing it they told me that it is a little bent and it didn’t work. since i bought it recently they gave me a new pencil for free with no cost. (But my poor engraving) but its ok they gave me a new apple pencil for free

Bought this pencil 3months ago and damaged the tip yesterday .... and clearly i am in one year warranty period currently so will apple replace my tip with new one without any charge or will they charge me ? wow that weird,mine i use for 2 years now (the 1st gen) and never replace it,there the new spare i still keep. and now i bought the new ipad and 2nd gen pencil and i still use the 1st gen tip to the 2nd gen one.
