also you can get photocatch which is kind of similar, it creates a 3d model from pictures or video/videos, and it doesn’t require a lidar capable device
@@yoongichi9557 you're not thinking outside the box enough, NO SHOT that apple developed this just for that specific super niche use-case. what i'm implying is that this is pretty obviously tech that could be used in a VR/AR headset as well
why not just acquire matterport and their database... the amount of resources to try build something which is already in the market is not efficient. Roomplan seems much more rudimentary than what matterport is currently at
