@@Praveen-or5ce no! I use Apple too. Also great to know about new way AI is getting in hands. But this particular report looked too biased as if it is an ad.
It will surprise me if Apple has anything up their sleave as they do not posess the data to train a competitive model plus seeing as they are openly integrating OpenAI into their products it does not look like they have anything on the horizon.
i want my 10mins back. thats exactly why i never watch this ladys segments. they are lazy, uneducated, and bought. she or the writers of the segments know jack about what they are talking about and just selling/advertising, in this case its apple.
People seem to forget to mention that it will also be available on any Apple product that has an M1 chip or later. All Macs and MacBooks sold over the last four years that have them. Three generations of iPad Pros, this year’s iPad Air, etc. Of course I know that the iPhone is about half of Apple’s sales and that’s including software and services, still, it’s a very large number of people other than just phone users.
@@Damon_Mah no, current 15 Pro and Pro Max can already do this. It’s pretty much agreed that all of Apple’s new phones coming out in September this year will be able to do it. Meanwhile, very few Android phones will be able to. Giggle’s Pixels have weak NPUs, and we’re just seeing them elsewhere. You’ll need a new computer from Microsoft to use theirs, etc.
Note for the video editor: try lowering the music for the overall video when playing a clip from another. It was disconcerting to listen to the WWDC clips with their music on top of the music chosen for the overall CNBC video.
If you’re hating here, 1. Why you here? 2. Don’t forget Apple doesn’t rush, they come in and top everyone. AGAIN done here. lol. 3. You have a touch screen phone thanks to Apple. 😊
This is some of the worst journalism I’ve seen in tech. This is so one sided and biased. It felt like Apple paid for this. Microsoft is doing on device AI also, as are others. Apple is doing nothing new, except maybe their secure compute platform.
Apple should learn from Nokia's past missteps, where overconfidence led to significant market share losses. By prioritizing exclusivity over user loyalty, Apple risks repeating history and driving away its dedicated customer base. Apple seems aware of that they are behind the AI integration across its products, to be a rushed introduction of generative AI looks like a panic move?. Naming its AI function "Apple Intelligence" and adopting the slogan "AI for the rest of us" may seem clever, but restricting AI features exclusively to the iPhone 15 series contradicts this inclusive message. This selective approach is seen as unfair and disloyal to the majority of iPhone users who are left without access to these advancements. Moreover, Apple's new "personal intelligence" tool looks like not groundbreaking compared to competitors where more sophisticated AI offerings. The decision to limit AI features raises serious questions about Apple's strategy and the rationale behind this exclusivity. It risks alienating loyal Apple users who may feel neglected and prompt them to consider competing brands that offer more inclusive and advanced AI solutions.
Agreed that Apple is poised to deliver great AI product. AI securely trained on your data delivered at microprocessor speed. There's some discussion that Apple is simply using another company's tech. Same could be said of MicroSoft, the difference is that Microsoft paid $10B, and Apple didn't pay anything.
And what about the problem of using copyrighted information in AI training. It is something that all developers have maliciously covered up. Although in the fine print of RRSS and media users it is said that all content that is published on the platform, the authors or producers cede all rights, but that is not entirely clear... many platforms have broken laws but The regulators strangely look the other way.... Will someone brave bell the cat? Because in a general case the data centers, internet providers, lines, etc. would be collaterally involved. Appl has intelligently delayed the development of its AI intentionally, so it will take on more advanced and trained systems, eliminating costly learning.
No one cares about how these models are trained as long as Apple is doing it. That's the problem with these journalists. They only look at one side of the story.
I just realised google could've done the same with the Pixel. Contextual knowledge pre-dating the creation of the iPhone...think how old Gmail is. It's a difference of philosophy going forward now..privacy vs traditional cloud data share. What a time.
They did. Or they were trying till Apples market control killed the public perception and thus the possibility of a fully functioning Duplex. But with the llm machine learning of multiple ai shoulders to stand on(rip Bard 🕊️) we have Gemini who now this sht. And yes the performance is often dependent on a hard privacy pill to swallow. But I still have my phone out of Gemini's control and still get more plus keep the Assistant functions I love. If you called me, you would speak to the AI before you got to me. Not a voicemail, a VOICE, asking you questions checking in with me if I'm available and ultimately having a very brief as needed back and forth conversation (if you don't lose your sht and freak out about the future first) before wishing you a good day and saving the whole convo+transcript then texting me what's up. My Pixel practically confirmed an oil change appointment over the phone for me last week while I was in the shower. Idk anyone that even uses Siri. Google is not the one sleeping.
They can’t, but that’s why all the features they highlighted used Apple technology. ChatGPT was included as something you could ask about world information, but notice they never showed a ChatGPT result or response. Every AI response shown was Apple’s technology interacting with personal data.
@@TheHardcard Every AI functionality that Apple has shown already exists on the desktop or via a third party app. Apple hasn't shown any core tech that is exclusive to Apple. Again the question is, how did Apple establish a lead? Also, if I can access the same functionality through a third party app, or on a webpage, why do I even need to upgrade my phone? The only value addition i see is that siri will be able to comprehend more mumbles and mid-sentence corrections. But then Google assistant has already been doing that at least for over a year now.
I don’t think they were listening to Google IO at all. I love how we hate on one company for having personal data and then praise another for having access to your personal data.
@@heyaisdabomb no Google does not sell your info to the highest bidder. They play middle man just like Apple. Apple keeps your data within their ecosystem for App Store and device usage which is minimal until they can monetize it themselves. Google keeps it to themselves and place ads themselves, the advertiser never sees the user data, no one does except googles systems not even employees. Y’all just like being sold on the idea and Apple is the best sales team out today.
I bet this does as well as Cramer observing reality above the first floor in Battery Park City on a cloudy day. And as well as his pal Benioff looking at same area from Time Inc. boardroom.
????this is really putting the cart before the horse here. Apple AI is none existent at the moment. It won’t be out this year. 2025 at best. They have seriously fallen behind the rest of the market.
@@fireyadventurer9916could be both, a lot of my friends have Vision Pro so it must not be expensive to them. will get cheaper and smaller over time like other new technology and then really take off
Thank you, Deirdre, for the insightful and well communicated information about Apple Intelligence. I am looking forward to future updates about AI and the state of technology from you.
Lol all those experts the last half year really thinking Apple was not into AI 😂 they just were integrating AI into their systems while the rest were bragging about their progress. Now just wait untill they unveil their new Apple Glasses ( looks like the meta raybans) to give the Apple Intelligence also eyes and ears to pilot the user through the world.
All these tech companies reserve the right to collect, examine and share with any government agency any and all of your data. You know, to ensure you’re not a terrorist or involved with CSAM. You already agreed to it in the updated terms of service.
Remember when they wore telling us on CNBC "Apple is not an AI play", "Apple is a laggard", well, there is no such thing as late in a bubble, everyone ends up being a big winner in a hype cycle only decades later when comes to productivity and utility some will do better then others, in this first cycle everyone is going to be a winner, and all the laggards will just catch up later, just like Apple is doing now, next one is Tesla, some news out and they will pump it and change their tune same like did on Apple. Don't fall for WallSt games, buy all 7 of Mag7s and hold them for at least another decade, they will all do great in Gen-AI revolution because have tons of cash.
Tesla is the Mag7 outlier, with stock down -28% this year, their future is TBD and behind Waymo in full self-driving which already has paid driverless robotaxi service in multiple states
@@Damon_Mah Apple was 15% or so down on the year recently, all Mag7s will catch up to each other eventually, AI is all about data, Tesla has most data when comes to cars and driving, also have energy department and we're going to need tons of energy for Gen-AI, so it's the one that could actually run most from here on out. Don't fall for WallSt games, buy low sell high, that's the name of the game but if you like to buy when Tesla does +50% to 100% this year-next year, well, that's your choice.
The excessive praise and glossing surrounding Apple and its AI have been overstated and very much oversaturated. It is premature to claim that Apple has surpassed its competitors when they have yet to produce any concrete results. Their efforts have been limited to demos, interesting concepts, and a sophisticated marketing strategy. Apple's reputation has preceded it, and people are eager to jump on the bandwagon, which is why the hype train is so prevalent. I have never witnessed such widespread delusion. Over the past week, people have completely disregarded the accomplishments of others and are fixated solely on Apple's achievements. Let us not forget about Google, which possesses all of these features and more, and a platform that is equally extensive to Apple's. We are treating Apple as if they are the only ones who have accomplished this, despite the fact that they have yet to release anything. Let us wait and see what they actually implement before we start heaping praise upon them to such an extent. Let's come to our senses! Google is second to none when it comes down to this AI revolution than any other player in this market besides Open AI, let's not make no mistake when it comes down to it
I mean the difference is Apple is building AI capabilities within its device not to mention it is providing a genuine use case for AI chatbots. The ability to have a personalised mobile assistant in a world where everything is based on content creation and social media all on device puts Apple ahead of the competition by quite some distance. The iPhone is the greatest invention of this generation and once they introduce your own personal assistant on your device, nobody else will be able to compete. The metaverse isn't going to be adopted and neither will neuralink/merging with machine. So the next best product to have a mass adoption will be a device with your own personalised AI Agent. Apple is such an amazing company who have really taken the time to think about the needs of their consumers before coming out with a product or new innovation. Not to mention, it requires everyone to upgrade their hardware in the coming cycles. Haven't really seen a use case for AI agents/chatbots. Sam Altman has already said he believes that currently most products we're seeing are glorified chatbots. OpenAI have also been struggling to build a sustainable business model due to the lack of usecases of chatbots.
@@justinuwaidia5873I don't agree that Apple has a better privacy policy than Google. Google AI has real-world applications that are beneficial to users. I'm not speculating, just stating facts. Apple's AI assistant has improved, but Google Assistant dominates Android devices and is integrated into various Google products. Google's long-term commitment to AI research could give them a competitive edge. It will be exciting to see how these tech giants advance their AI capabilities.

@jeffrose5622 ---- Apple has been building neural engines into Apple silicon since 2017. Yeah, that's the same thing that Qualcomm is finally bragging about for the first time this year. Apple since that time has been adding hundreds of AI enabled advantages in the applications and system level features. It wasn't that they didn't know how to spell AI, it was that they avoided the term and instead used more positive language like machine learning. By the way did you happen to buy Apple stock or options in April at 164? It hit 220 this Wednesday.
Thanks for the comedy. Apple is a marketing company. Who on earth in 2024 stills use an Apple device? All they showed can already be do e elsewhere without the frustration of using an apple device.
Wall Street media bash Apple hour after WWDC expecting something they themselves have no clue what AI would it be now after experts endorse it Business media like CNBC and those Yahoos sings a different tunes. Compare to Meta cartoonist metaverse and Google bumbling AI rollouts what did they expect?
How apple got most of MSM (and even some independent content creators) riding its weenie this hard this past week for basically what is maybe slightly better than what already exists is something I'd actually pay top dollar to study in 2024.
Still a long ~way to go.. they just showed a fancy preview.. .lots of things to do... I don't trust any of the companies 100% for privacy and security..
