They also have pairs for $379 and $499. I guess just the Ray Ban glasses themselves without tech are kind of expensive anyway which is why they can justify the cost but still, I'm not spending that on those anytime soon. Thanks.
I've seen online polls on who's on a Macbook or desktop Mac and the votes are staggering 9 to 1. Sad that the Mac mini and Studio aren't getting updated to M3 but the sales numbers are too low. Just hope they get updated to M4 by year end.
Yes, I have covered that a few times in my videos that the Mac mini is like 2% of Mac sales and so is the Studio. I think the iMac is slightly more but overall you are correct. Thank you.
Everybody had they're opinon...to me the ipad is the most versatile product they have. Its smaller, thinner and portable but still powerful. It also has a mobile option with a touch screen. People just want it to be a mac and run mac stuff, but it wasn't originally designed for that. That being said, I'll probably be keeping my 2019 2nd gen pro...still runs great.
Yes, I have a 9th gen and won't be upgrading anytime soon. I tend to use my Mac 90% of the time but everybody is different and I can see some people preferring the iPad.
I use my M1 iPad Pro 12.9 to play candy crush 15,504 level now, hard time to use MacBook Pro in my hospital bed, when apple drops support for my iPad that is when I might upgrade, My Granddaughter broke her screen on 1st Generation iPad pro 12.9 inch still work good but not Great looking for another iPad Pro 12.9 Great info Thank You
I hope you are doing good. I still use a 9th gen from about 2021 and don't think I'll upgrade for at least another few years - unless I get one for the channel to review.
Yes, my iPad Pro is still good enough, and yes, I’m going to buy a new one. I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, and a 14” MacBook Pro. I use my MacBook nearly everyday, but I use my iPad more. It’s my favorite device, by far.
Thanks for sharing. You are a minority for sure on the iPad but I know some people love them. Some people just doen't need a full MacBook either but I just don't see too much difference between the iPad and my phone but of course I don't use it for art or other design work.
@@craigneidel I’m one who doesn’t really need a MacBook Pro. I could get by with less, but I like tech. I’d rather have the power and not need it, than need the power and not have it.
I have an iPad Mini 6 which I use for viewing content. I know the next event will be showcasing the new models but I’m just not interested. I use my MacBook Pro for all my serious work.
I have an older 9th gen which I use from time to time but it's fine and I have not need for a new one either. I'm guessing it's the artists that are looking forward to this event.
New iPhone activations have gone down for the first time ever as well. Apple is moving slowly but steadily back to the days when they were on the verge of irrelevance. Literally all the things that persuaded me to switch to mac back in 2009 have gone by the wayside. They've done everything to be less versatile, less upgradable, less repairable, less compatible and insanely expensive.
I do think that Apple's new M chips are incredible though because I use them for editing etc. and work every day so that is a positive. I hate the fact that you can upgrade the systems but many of the premium laptops are doing this now to get them thinner so it's moving that way which is not great. Overall though I have been happy with the MacBook lineup.
@@6StringPassion. MacOs is nice. I do wish apple starts listening to their client and ships all Mac with 16gb on next update but I'm not holding my breath.
6:20 Laptop makers can drop all the new models they want with the latest processors, but at the end of the day, it’s up to us whether we want to splurge based on what we actually need. As long as they’re not deliberately slowing down older models when new ones come out, I’m not going to stress about keeping up with the latest and greatest. It’s a never-ending cycle unless they start handing them out for free! And let’s be real, it’s not like I have a money tree in my backyard to shake down for cash every time a new laptop drops 😂 11:55 Apple's losing ground in China to Hawaii smartphones. 12:39, I was also surprised to find out iPads don’t come with a built-in calculator app. That Howdy beer 🍺 sounds smooth, shame we can’t get it here. Have you tried Asahi Super Dry with 5% ABV?
I'm not sure I hate tablets but I for sure don't need to upgrade again for many years. I like it sometimes for travel or watching content but that's about it.
It’s clear to me that technology has hit a wall…I think people are starting to desire a more simple life in general…these devices nowadays have many marketed features that people get drawn to to purchase them but 90% of the features rarely get used after the first week of purchase. I hope the Vision Pro goes down as worst Apple product in history
Things are moving fast but yes most people don't really need a yearly update. Maybe once very 2 years for professionals. The Vision Pro was never really meant to be sold in this for factor and will need to be made smaller and less expensive before people really think about buying it. But, Apple needed to start somewhere and then try to make the tech cheaper.
My iPad has become a nice MBP accessory. For certain daily work tasks it's preferred and it's great for content consumption but it will never replace my MBP. Ditched the 12.9' w/keyboard and went 11" no keyboard. Like that set up better. Doubt I'll upgrade. Thanks for sharing the beer Craig!
Thanks for the post. Yeah, I see no need to upgrade now and I think that is one of the issues Apple is trying to solve. They just don't change too much.
@@craigneidel They need to unleash the software. I think everyone's biggest frustration. Who cares if you have a 500 HP engine if it has a restrictor plate on it.
When you have LESS MONEY IN YOUR POCKET you can't have toy's to play with. thank you Brandon maybe that is another reason apple visited the white house 80 times.
You have not been in the used car lot Lately. Vision Pro is so expensive They are trying too hard to have all Tech into the headset China is a huge factor for all Of the USA industry Thanks for the video
I'm joking about a used car but just was making a point on price. The Vision Pro is great but just too expensive for widespread adoption and it will take another 3-4 years to get the price down for sure.
