I never though Unbox Therapy would make clickbait titles/misleading titles one day. The title seems to mean the actual Apple Vision Pro, just using it w/android phone.

Awesome show as always Lew😊👍🏻. The headset experience probably looks smooth on your end but the FPS is lagging for us viewers. It’s insane in the Chinese market in how fast they built these things.

This brings back memories of Chinese iPhone knockoffs that looked just like an iPhone on the outside but were absolutely crappy on the inside and ran an iOS styled Android that just looked jank 😅

The problem with glasses like this is that they release it and then not updated it or make improvements further than version 1.0. Some of these could have been really good if they did. Of course, not as good as the $3K+ devices but good enough to be used as cheap alternatives.

Is this actually heavier than the vision pro? I've heard it's kinda heavy.

I still find it more appealing than the real deal, because it runs Android and it can run more things, and it has a Type C connector instead of a weird proprietary connector. But just for a little more, you can buy a Quest 2 which feels really refined, and a lot of apps are compatible with it.

I think it’s android 8.1, Qualcomm sxr1130 chip, 4/6GB lpddr4, Bluetooth 5.0, it’s supposed to do upto 4k, ardreno 615 GPU. Battery 3000mAh. 2.5hrs video play back. It’s got a TF card slot and has a choice of 64-128GB of eMMC. It be interesting to see if a newer version of android or something else would run on it to make it better.

I feel like if it was not a blatant rip off and they offered an android device that you can install apps on it freely, then it may not be such a bad device. The Quest 2 is great even with regular android apps installed, not just the VR apps. I just wish you didn't have to jump through so many hoops. This could offer that open platform.

It's things like these that give Android a bad reputation.
