I’m picking up my first Apple Watch tomorrow. got a pretty good deal. Somebody actually bought it last Tuesday, but they don’t want it anymore. I don’t know why didn’t return it to the store but whatever I’m gonna buy it so this video is very helpful and I’m so excited to have my first Apple Watch I’ve been iPhone user for many many years. Yay me
I'm planning to buy an Apple Watch too and I find that the SE 2 is just magnificent, I don't need the extra sensors that the more recent Apple Watches have. (series 9 has just been released 🤣). In addition, the Se 2 chip is very powerful and can last for many years. No need to waste hundreds of extra euros to have a few more non-essential features! Thank you for this honest review. I greet you from France so sorry if my English is not very good...
Yeah, I'm coming from a 6. I wanted phone service on my watch so that I could leave my phone behind more, but realized I wasn't using the features that were extra to the SE 2, so... I got the SE 2. Very happy with it
I’m about to go buy one. It’s kinda nice seeing a review from someone who is basically as new to this as I am haha. The review feels more real than the other ones!
Just got this basically near free the cell version for $300 on my Tmobile plan as a added line connected to my iphone phone number and got $200 off it on 24 monthly payments for the rest which is less than 5 bucks a month added to my bill no big deal and its unlimited data cell service that will work without my phone needed with it and that is 15 bucks a month not bad at all and free shipping and didnt have to pay a dime up front and they will start billing me next bill cycle. Its a deal their doing on this watch at Tmobile right now. I got the midnight black one. Cant wait for it to arrive this week with free 2 day express shipping to. Never had one but always wanted one.
it might just be me overreacting, but the part where he says “dang you gotta scroll all the way down to get to the united states” really irked me. like ofc? u is pretty far down in the alphabet
@@liinovibez8397 you’re fine 😂 Sometimes on U.S. based apps, it’s common that they’ll place it at the top and have the rest alphabetical. That’s what I was meaning haha
I have my since last March in silver grey with a white Apple Watch band. I got it at Target. I still have my SE(1) in space grey. I accidentally cracked the screen with a little cracks. I still also have series 1 and 2. I bought those watches refurbished a few years ago. I do liked the SE(2) model even the SE(1),too. I do know how to setup the watch towards my iPhone. I can used my Apple Watch to start up my Ford Escape by using the app on my iPhone or Apple Watch. I have watch bands that I can used for the watch.
Hi! I’m considering purchasing my first cellular Apple Watch and would love your advice. My main reasons for wanting one are to leave my iPhone at home while running and hiking, and to stream Spotify through my AirPods. Additionally, I’d use it at work and while out and about to quickly check messages and emails. Do you think the Apple Watch SE 2 would be a good choice for me between now and December? I’m curious if it will continue to receive updates for a while. I was hoping for a third generation, but it looks like that didn’t happen. Thanks!
If you don't think a 3rd gen would be coming soon then this is a solid budget option. Otherwise, it might be nicer to have a larger watch face with the other models if that matters to you. This one still gets the job done though! Still happily using mine to this day, no issues
@@LifewithSeanBrownThanks for the reply! I read that there’s a possibility of a March 2025 release along with the iPhone SE 4. If I were to choose now, it would be the 44mm SE 2.
Great review Sean. Looking at getting an apple watch around Christmas and this made me consider getting an SE to start rather than going straight for the ultra!
I just got this watch today to update from the 3 lmao but no lie I wish iPhone and galaxy and merge watches because galaxy has some awesome features on their watch 💯🔥 especially the wallpaper…I had street fighter on my old galaxy watch and when you go see the time they actually fight and move the whole time lol
Just got this as my first Apple watch. The only thing is, I'm not sure if I can get used to that scribble messaging as compared to the swipe QWERTY keyboard. Contemplating returning it and getting the 7.
Watch 12:08. From my perspective I would say the key features on the Series 8 that would catch my attention is the larger screen size (less bezels) and fast charging. If you think that’s worth $150 more then get it. In my opinion, I don’t think so. I also like getting good value for my money.
Id say if it’s your first Apple Watch and you want to save money go for se they have same chip same power anyway. SE is the best money value apple watch. But if money isn’t problem at all for you, then take 8. The model update will be likely in 2024 then you can decide if you want to update based on your experience.
@@johnstark8516Have been toying with the idea of buying an Apple Watch since Series 3 came out, but never really felt I needed one since I use my phone for everything. With the redesign and size increases with the Series 4 and later, I wanted the 3 even more b/c I liked the smaller sizes and the more squared off corners however I still couldn’t convince myself that it would be a functional necessity rather than another Apple accessory. Fast forward to yesterday, went with a friend that was going to buy himself one(8) and before we left I ordered one myself! You’re right about the SE as it was my pick. The functions, features, and price made it a no brainer and obvious choice… as for aesthetics and design, they grew on me and the size difference from the Series 3 isn’t as much as I thought. Also, the 3 while still being good looking, is looking dated in comparison. The sales rep also stated the same key differences between the se and the 8 and that the few features aren’t really worth the extra $$ unless one just wants them and cost isn’t a factor in their decision. Seeing as how there are no plans for an SE 3 till 24’, SE 2 will remain current till then, meaning years of updates ahead….
Just bought my first Apple Watch I also bought the SE second generation. Do you feel like it would be wise to put a screen protector on the lens and possibly some type of a guard around the body?
My mom had used one before for hers so I would say it’s valid but I’ll say I’ve dropped, bumped, and scratched mine against a few surfaces by accident and still didn’t see any damage. Depends on the risk you want to take.
It’s water resistant up to 50 meters. Just be sure to turn your water lock setting on. I read online it could potentially be less water resistant over time but for the most part you should be good.
Great review Sean, this actually helped me decide which Apple Watch should I get between Apple Watch Series 8 or Apple Watch SE and now I know I should get the Apple Watch SE because it is way cheaper than series 8
It can but you’d need to make sure you buy the connectivity option as “GPS + Cellular” rather than just GPS. Otherwise, if you always have your phone nearby you, you can still text and call from it without needing to pay for the cellular plan.
