The most underrated feature iPhones had that made me, a staunch Android user, look like I was in the past. It was revolutionary with the functionality unlocking capabilities like never before. Except that was a pain for Apple in both ways. It made the display assembly thicker and not many users had thought of the usefulness of such a feature. While Apple ultimately ported many of its functionalities to tap and hold, it won't have the same feeling as if you were "pressing an actual button" on what would otherwise be a large flat screen. And the only one thing that I hoped Control Center would have till iOS 13 came out was force touch WiFi to quickly access to nearby SSIDs, just makes life easier because the only way before that was to actually navigate through Settings to connect to a WiFi network.
After owning one of these and looking at just how small it is, it makes this teardown even more impressive. I really believe devices like these are what pushes technology the most, more than oversized phones or loud laptops full of discrete components.
Downcycling, I had series 2, battery faded, changed battery & gave to my wife, then got Series 5 / reduce / reuse / then if all else fails recycle // you can also upcycle, hack or mod too
Ahahha best joke ever apple has done nothing but making repairs obsolete with the screen replacement warning on iphone 11 up and the battery replacement warning on the xs this is bullshit
Wazx6 Yeah but now Apple is allowing independent repair shops to officially service iPhones, they’re giving training and manuals and software that can verify battery replacements and get rid of the warning.
Dani you should really look up Louis Ross an the guy that has fought apple the hardest no apple knows very well how to play this game do they make great products yes but at the cost of your absolute faith in anything but them

YOU ARE MY STAR I ADMIRE YOU SINCE I HAVE BEEN WATCHING YOUR VIDEOS MY BUSSINES IS GETING BETTER DAY BY DAY.EACH OF YOUR VIDEO IS REALY BEST FROM REST . YOUR ALMOST ALL VIDEOS ARE MUCH INFORMATIVE AND CREATIVE AND VERY VERY CLEAR MAN YOU MAKE MY DAY AND I HAVE SIGNIFICANTLY ADOPT YOUR REPAIRING TECHNICES....
"here is a screw and here is a grain of rice" welcome to my world were microsoldering is a real life thing and a screw size component is actually very big :D
Troy R us iFixit scores for iPhones are usually the better ones; Samsung, Huawei, etc are generally way more difficult to repair. Yet it’s always Apple in the headlines 🤷🏻♂️
there has to be a certin point where having try wing or any special screw bit shouldnt be a down point if the only down point is that its needed to have that special bit when most devices have them just buy it once and done
At the end of the day, this is an extremely small device with high expectations for water resiliency.... not to mention the high tolerances of ridge-free butting of the various external components (screen to case to back-plate). I'm honestly amazed that it can be repaired at all - let alone by a layman. Try taking apart a Swiss watch sometime.... and good luck.
some screen kits come with the adhesive, but those mostly apply for phones and even those won’t guarantee the exact same water resistance as it did before
I made a battery replacement and it's messed up. The battery isn't the problem but the metal clip connection between the screen and the motherboard does not connect. Apple logo just comes on and off
Congratulations on being the first review I’ve seen that includes details about the battery 😄 now if only I could find one that includes battery life...
Thanks for the video, now I can disassemble two apple watches, one has a stainless steel frame but the internals dont work, and the other one has an aluminum frame but the internals work, so if I disassemble both of them I can use the parts and make one working apple watch.
I bought Amazon, Apple, Nvidia, Facebook, Microsoft, Google, Wells Fargo, Netflix APPLE WATCH SERIES 6 is awesome! I was never interested in a smartwatch until now with the new Apple Watch series 6 because it has 1) an oxygen blood sensor which helps those with heart attack, detects covid19, asthsma, headaches. 2) ECG (1 measurement of EKG). 3) nice blue metal watchband in steel, aluminum, or titanium. 4) Nice to have: fall sensor, maps, Apple Pay
I'm kinda sad to see force touch has gone away. Have to admit that not anyone couldn't get used to it. Anyone who has an iPhone 6s, 7, 8 can quick switch from app to app by hard press the left edge of the screen.
It’s actually important for haptic feedback Eg : when you’re scrolling , notifications etc.. However , I believe apple could’ve made it smaller considering they’re the first to have a 5 nm chip(the A14)....
Artur Mavlyuchenko combination of "tap" and "haptic feedback," taptic engine is a name Apple created for its technology that provides tactile sensations in the form of vibrations to users of Apple devices like the Apple Watch, iPhones, iPads, and MacBook laptops. Apple debuted its taptic engine technology along with the Force Touch feature in the 2015 editions of Apple MacBook notebooks and the initial Apple Watch, and the two features work together to provide a user with more input control and feedback. Link : www.webopedia.com/TERM/T/taptic-engine.html Apple's branding of its haptic feedback first implemented in the Apple Watch, which taps the user on the wrist. ... The Taptic Engine is also used to give the illusion of a click on Mac trackpads. See haptic interface. Link : www.yourdictionary.com/taptic-engine
Seems like sponsered teardown!!😷 From outrside and in real world there is only one upgrade on series 6, but this guy highlighted so many upgrades inside...FEELS LIKE APPLE EVENT PART 2 😆🤣
I have series 5 40mm, the strap is broken from the first I open the box. I fix it by my self, the spring of the strap is smaller than a pin 🥴 Sorry if my english bad,
I need back glass to replace. Does back glass only sits on adhesive? Or is there screws, that holding ad well? Where can I buy back glass replacement for series 6 44mm?
The blood oxygen sensor seems to be kinda +/- 5 percentage points accuracy for any given reading, but the mean value seems to be about 2 points lower than what my proper O2 sensor says. It's not really good enough to base decisions upon, in my opinion. I was hoping it would be accurate enough to diagnose sleep apnea but it doesn't seem to be.
what I want to know is I bought series 6 titanium version so its very expensive. Id like to keep it as long as possible. if the battery does eventually die in 2-3 years and I replace the battery, will the watch still be water proof?
I've run into trouble on my s6 40mm repair. I've cut the wire that runs between the LCD screen and the main body of the watch, parallel to the two ribbon cables. What does that wire do and how do I replace it?
Buenas tardes, tengo un Apple Watch series 5 y empezó a volverse loca la corona digital sin que yo la toque! Se mueve sola! Digitalmente. Que puede ser? Gracias
