I live in Pakistan, and the temperatures here are crazy high, peaking around 48-52° celcius during summers - enough to put most phones out of their charging habits. Aside from an air-conditioned room, there's nothing that can force my Samsung Galaxy to pick its peak 25-watts wired charging speed. The phone gives me temperature warnings otherwise, and I have to resort to an overnight charge, disabling the Fast Charging because both the charger and phone get extremely hot.
Manufacturers should be forced to keep the battery replaceable like it was back then. Just like Apple was forced to use USB-C. This may also reduce the number of plasters needed. ;)
the only downside to this i guess is that its only "1 stick", so you cant alreadyu have 1 stick and then add one later. in a scenario where you bought a pc wiht 2x8 sticks, and want to upgrade to 32 you can just buy 2x8 more. in this case you'd have to discard the previously installed 16 and get a whole new 32. its a small price to pay at the end tho.
I’ve always wondered why my iPhone heats up so much when placed on the wireless charging pad in any Tesla I’ve been in. And it took forever to charge. Wired is still the best option. Wireless is just convenient.
wait... I saw an article showing to remove the battery plug not on the middle, but close to the fan. so.. either or it's fine? I'm about to do this, I want to make sure, so I don't make a mistake...
Could you explain why name brand chargers are always more expensive? I have a Samsung dual wireless charger and it charges fast and doesnt overheat the phone, but it sure was an expensive purchase.
Owning an iPhone 15 Pro since release day and only charged it with a MagSafe charger during night. After 9 months, battery is still at 100%. I'm never going back to cable charging.
30C isnt going to wear a battery out. That's the ambient temperature in NYC during the summer. The majority of the US is warmer. Google specifically throttles Pixel charge rate when it gets above 37C and slows charging to a minimal level at 40C. A Pixel phone will charge at full rate when it's at 30C.
I upgraded memory to 8g hdd to ssd and finally wifi card to intel ax210 in my 5th gen dell 3543. Still working like a champ 🎉

I like that the 'main battery' is an attachment for the rear instead of being in the headset itself unlike the competition. As for the companion battery in the headset, it was a bit of a brow-raiser to me since I thought it was a capacitor. Its merely there to maintain a charge long enough for battery swaps but then again, maybe no capacitors could last long enough for a comfortable swap without the need to be The Flash about it. That and, now that I think about it, the risk of something that could violently explode right infront of your eyes of it goes wrong.
Absolutely, wireless charging is absolutely worthless, you wireless charge? You are directly responsible for the death of the world. And the standard Magsafe charger just makes it worse, a wireless charging pad with a wire, real smart there Apple.
220 quid is a bit much for this imo, thats more then half of the value of the phone used. i can get it repaired by google themselves for £200 so why is my own installation more expensive
Just got one of these in the workshop and yeh its a pain but not as bad as you made out getting the complete top cover off the keyboard plastic and fuzzy material comes off as a single piece, my iFixit tools made short work of getting in and getting those shields off - thanks! heres to more fixing!
The problem. With this there is only one slot. Most of the cases for laptops with lower specs is that only one slot is populeted and just put on other stick in the empty one. With this if you want more capacity you need to replace this moudule and sell or trow away the old one. Cus little ppl will won't to use it.
Magsafe is just so convenient. I use a foldable magsafe charging pad that charges my phone and apple watch together, and is amazing for travel. And I use a magsafe wireless charger I can throw in my pocket for days out at an amusement park or wherever if I need more juice half way through the day.
