I had the series 6 and upgraded to the 9 for the double tap feature. I have a 4 month old baby so it’s been super handy for me to answer calls or quickly check the Smart Stack for weather etc while I’m feeding/changing. Always busy and have my hands full with having 2 children so it was 100% worth the upgrade for me and the 2000nit brightness was bonus as I couldn’t see my 6 in the day😂 and I love the precision finding with my 15 pro max as I’m always misplacing it 😅. Overall both have been a 10/10 for me.
Just upgraded my dad's Series 5 to the Series 9 and he's happy- plus he likes the brightness and heartrate monitor features. Since he's76 years old, the updated sensors for fall and crashes is a selling point to me personally as he's fallen before with the Series 5 and was useful.
that’s why I got a 9, after no watch at all. I fell out of bed and broke my arm. my wife couldn’t help me up. If I fall when she’s not home I may not be able to reach my phone.
I purchased a black Series 9 45mm (no cell) with the black sports band in October. I resisted getting a smart watch for years because it truly is a luxury item, not a necessity, but I finally caved in and I'm glad I did. I'm surprised at how useful it is. I've got two faces set up, the GMT that I use almost all the time because of its functionality, and the Solar Analog when I want a classy looking face. I tried the double-tap feature a couple of times when it came out but, meh. My most used features are navigation when I'm driving now that Apple Maps is actually useful, but especially when hiking, and messaging. For hiking I have the compass and weather apps on the GMT face. Practically speaking though, the watch came with far more apps than I need.
@@cooperativagiraldosempavor5965 I do have big wrists and I'm taller, but I really think it's a matter of personal preference. One of my work colleagues is a small statured woman and the 45mm looks great on her.
I have a se2 44mm & can’t justify upgrading as this model does everything I need also you may or not know if you turn Bluetooth off on your watch it charges so much faster 😊 thanks for the tutorial
I have the same watch but in midnight and love it. I had the series 8 but I decided to sell it and regretted it . I won't sell this 9 or replace it until the battery health drops WAYYYYY down. I have the GPS model only since I always take my phone everywhere. It's paired with my 14 pro max.
The biggest improvement for me (not including battery life since my battery health was getting rough on my prior watch) coming from the Series 4 is how well Siri dictates, which i use all the time for messages. Even the punctuation seems better. And it's much faster. I can literally whisper into my watch at work and it dictates perfectly. It's also better for phone calls than the Series 4 by a pretty wide margin. Obviously it's faster for launching apps and things like that. But I think all of this is expected when you upgrade from a five-year-old device to the newest one (BTW, it's also worth a mention that even the 1mm extra screen real estate is nice; that was the first thing i noticed when i turned the series 9 on for the first time; having that ability for the keyboard, as you mentioned, KE, comes in clutch in some situations).
I had the series 8 and I upgraded to the series 9 for the double tap it’s very useful for me especially when I’m at work to answer phone calls without having to touch my iPhone and I got the new pink color and have the oxygen sensor working I got it before the ban happened
So I had the series 3 moved to the series 7 when it launched sold it went back to the 3 and now using up the 9. Now I use the pinch feature for music start and stop coz I’m always playing music and also to quick reply pinch to reply say what I want and pinch to send. Handy when I’m cooking, working or riding the bike. Hopefully they add more gestures with the next update.
This will be my first Apple Watch. I am a long time Iphone, Ipod, and Ipad user, so I am used to the IOS. To be honest the main reason I am looking at them is because my Dexcom G7 Gluclose Monitoring System will now feed info straight to the watch. Before it went to my Iphone and I had to carry it around. I'm pretty sure I am going to go with the Series 9. My middle son has the Ultra 2 but as a retired senior I don't really see a need to spend that kind of money on a watch nor will I use it like a younger person would. Thanks for the video, I appreciated the information.
Dropped my series 3 watch when getting changed at work. The screen cracked and completely fell out. I’ve been looking to upgrade ever since and this has been the best review video I’ve come across. Its helped me make that decision on which model/size to get
I have the velcro sports bands and the trail loops and the velcro has never had a single issue over the years. I adjust my watch bands multiple times day.
I just ordered my series 9 from T-Mobile and received it Friday and turns out it has the blood oxygen sensor working so that’s cool! Doubt I’ll ever use it but still, nice to have I guess. Coming from the SE 2nd generation i’m enjoying the bigger 45mm screen and the “updated” design with the edge to edge screen etc.
I had to sell my Series 5 before 2 years ago since I have to use that money to pay for my college. I always tell my loved ones to purchase an apple watch whenever possible due to its many benefits especially when working as nurse, working at home and tracking your exercise. I'm hoping I could get one soon since it helped me with my anxiety and notifies when I need to meditate.
I have the series 9 and I really like it. I also have the nike sports loop. I like the loops that have the velcro. I find they fit my wrist better. I also have the blood oxygen app still working and I agree it is really not that big a deal. If Apple took it off future watches would not miss it but some might be upset. I upgraded from a series 6.
I have an ultra 1 an use double tap when I’m trying to snooze my alarm it comes in handy and if I got gloves on and I’m listening to music it still works to pause when double tapping just all around useful at points my biggest issue is it’s training my brain to remember how it’s all set up to navigate through the watch if I wanted to
I use my watch for iPhone finder, timer, texting, medication log, menstrual log and phone call.We are in 2024 already, I believe Apple will release apple watch 10 or X. I heard the people said the design will be completely different and I pray it is not round watch! Read some online articles, they thinking to add High Blood Pressure the feature I need the most. I'm so hesitate to buy the series 9 because there is slightly different than my 1st apple watch SE. I'm very impressed with the series Ultra for diving, hiking..Me personally I will wait til September 2024 and get the series 10.
I think your update is helpful. I upgraded to the Series 9 from the Series 7 because the battery on the Series 7 needed to be replaced and I did not want to have that done. I also do not use the double tap feature or the smart stack . I have had good luck with Velcro closures and the body of the watch and the screen have held up well.
The sport loops hold up fine... I have two of them.. I've been using the first one for 3 years... No issues... I have my backup though just in case... Also I am currently using an apple watch 7.. I still have my 6... which has a better battery.. and I may just go back to that one once my battery is toast on my 7... unless apple actually releases something worth upgrading too... But they probably won't... Basic heart rate / calorie burning is probably all I'll ever use the apple watch for anyway.
I am looking to upgrade to the series 9 right now I have a series 5. The battery on my series 5 will last from 4:30 AM until 9:30 PM. I want to be able to wear it when I sleep like I used to with my series 5. So I’m going for the better battery and the upgrades.
I use the double tap mostly to cancel alarms or a phone call when I’m working . Kinda cool to have it but is not the most efficient and wonderful feature
I am hoping for a big redesign with the Series 10, the watch has been the same from the Series 7-9, I actually "downgraded" from an 8 to a 7 stainless steel because I felt like I'd take the better case over slightly brighter display
I'm taking my first apple watch and can't decide between the s8 (100€ cheaper) or the s9. Honestly the doble tap feat isn't a thing for me... the only reason i'm cosidering the S9 it's bcs the brightness... But for 100 € i'm not sure if its worth
I’ve had apple watch s9 for a month now and biggest problem i experienced is the connectivity to the iPhone 15 pro max i got one on contract. Keep asking for passcode even tho i went through settings. And missing the phone calls connectivity to the watch 6 times out of 10. Bed time app 2 out of 7 dont record anything. Bit of disappointment
Ultra 2 has been amazing. Battery life is mind blowing, especially while being on full cellular. I could get 3 days on cellular only. Granted I only use the watch for text/calls and telling time. Everything else is turned off.
I have a great video buddy. I think right now the best watch to go for is the Apple Watch ultra first generation! Particularly when it comes to battery life. I’ve had mine for over a year and I still get two days out of it. I’m up for some future meditation.
Like most reviewers .... you totally ignore us older users. Example ... you totally reject the cell option... why would you want it .. if you fall and are not close to you Apple phone or don't own a phone ... you are out of luck ... BUT... if you have the cell option, the watch can still call for help and THAT could be a life saver.
Hi there, I'm not ignoring anyone, I'm just speaking to my own personal experience which I think is what most folks will find value in. I suspect that almost everyone's videos will be missing things or not cover a particular topic, but keep in mind each video has a ton of thought and effort put into it. I can't speak to the cell feature as the watch I have doesn't have it, so it would be irresponsible for me comment on it.
Thank you for mentioning the real life battery life. I'm thinking about getting my first smart watch and could barely find any info in reviews about it other than "it's basically how it was before" which isn't that helpful when it's your first time looking into smart watches.
Absolutely no need to upgrade from a 6, 7 or 8 if you’re battery still holds a day. The 10 is meant to get a redesign which would be the perfect time to upgrade
It comes with a cellular model too, but the stainless steel model already got cellular as a standard. Also yes, you need a subscription plan for using it. It’s not worth it though, cellular drains the hell out of the battery.
I drive a Subaru brz and it doesn’t have any steering wheel controls and it’s a manual so my hands are busy steering shifting and when I’m cruising and I need to pay attention the double tap is absolutely clutch I love that feature for sure
I have iPhone 13 Pro max and precision finding works well to find my Airpods pro. How come I can’t use precision finding to find my Apple watch series 9? The feature should be “VICE VERSA” to find watch to iphone and iphone to watch. How stupid is that Apple?😅
Sir,😊I am collage student of 2nd year cs student and I want to invest in laptop for long term like 8 to 10 year. I am planning to buy 16gb ram for future proof. Please suggest whether to buy windows laptop, macbook air 2 16gb ram or m3pro with 18gb ram. I am confused 😕 Which one will be value for money and good for long term? 🤔 namaste
I recently bought the Huawei Watch Fit 3 and before that I had the HUAWEI GT2, which both of them have at least 10 full days of battery life with everything turned on (except Always On Display). I recently checked and the battery on the Watch Fit 3 is 400 mAh, while on Series 9 is 282 mAh (the smaller model) and 308 mAh (the bigger model). Are you telling me that Apple couldn’t fit a bigger battery in that watch?
Can the Apple Watch 9 run multiple apps? I was considering getting one, but I want to be able to run two or more apps at the same, like exercise and music, or a timer.
I just upgraded from a series 4 to a stainless steel series 8. And even tho I don’t see much difference other then the aod it does feel nice knowing that my watch will last all day 😂 honestly if I didn’t get a stainless steel version I wouldn’t have upgraded at all. Just got it for a good price refurb on amazon.
Not sure what you mean. Why wouldn't I describe as much as possible? Also, I just have two video on this watch -- initial impressions, and long term thoughts. If the channel isn't for you, easiest to move on ✌️
I don’t have one and I just ordered one 😅 Do I need it? No! I just want it for the heck of it. I don’t see myself using it as well, oh well, I might give it to someone I know after a month or so.
Wearing a watch is akin to _wearing a life-meter_ . Watch your life tick away. I've not worn a wrist watch in 45 years, why should I start now with whatever Apple (or anyone else) offers?
Because it does more than telling time. It does heart and other health monitoring on your wrist with fall detection and can call emergency to save your unconscious ass.
