Thanks Bryan for the video - I am trying to get my TFN number online using the first method you described and I got stuck at the final step - 2. Connect your Digital Identity to your myGov account. After I click this option - what do I have to do to actually make the TFN online application ? Can you please explain this part in detail ?
Do you have a MyGov account? You have to set up your digital identity and connect it to MyGov. Please follow the steps here: my.gov.au/en/about/help/digital-identity/connect-your-digital-identity

Hi Sayanti, could you please elaborate more? Your ASX shares are automatically registered with HIN when you buy them. Do you mean to register them to a share registry (which allows you to set turn on auto dividend reinvestment + other things)? I use Ubank as my everyday account. If you want something with a physical bank, Macquarie is also good and has good interest rates. If you don’t care about interest rates at all then any of the big 4 banks are fine from my experience.
Hi I've been watching all your videos recently along with other videos as well and reading a lot online and was wondering what your online brokerage recommendation would be. I want to trade ASX and US market but the more markets the better and I will be dollar cost averaging. Basically will be going all in index funds and a small amount in crypto, I think I wont have any inactivity fees or overnight fees. I'm currently looking at Webull, Stake, Selfwealth or Interactive Broker but there seems to be lots of different hidden fees related to investing in overseas markets as an Australian such as FX and other bank or wire transfer fees. If you had any advice it would be very helpful and much appreciated!
Hey mate, I currently use Moomoo. I think they are currently the best overall if you want both AU & US stocks. Low brokerage fees. No inactivity fees or hidden fees. Unfortunately, you can't get away from the FX fee for US stocks. That is how majority of brokers make their money. They have one of the lowest FX fees in this regard. Yes I checked my spam folder but nothing is there. I have been trying to call the ATO through individual line but the call is not getting through. Would opening a mygov account do any good? Or I can't link the ATO without any TFN?

Go to option 2 in this video. Select apply through post office and in the online form, choose 'I am applying on behalf of another person'. From there just complete the form as normal and make an appointment at your nearest post office. Easy peasy!
