In this video, we will explain the requirements to obtain a travel exemption for a temporary visa holder to travel to Australia.
Even though the COVID situation is improving in Australia and around the world, currently the Australian borders are closed to most temporary visa holders. There are a limited number of places for arrivals in Australia and only under very limited situations can temporary visa holders enter Australia. Before you can enter Australia, you must have a travel exemption approved.

Hi . My husband is on student dependent visa, subclass 500 . Currently I’m in Australia and my husband still stuck in Sri Lanka. Can he get the travel exception.

I very much doubt you would have success. You can leave, you just will struggle to get back in

Hi Nick, thanks for this amazing video. I have a question about the travel exemption. I have a travel exemption to enter in australia and the application was complete with other traveler however, my daugther will travel in the future so we are going in separate flights. Do you think that I need to apply again for other exemption once the one I have has listed 2 people?

I am an Australian citizen and I just received an offer for a Master's degree over in Germany starting late August this year. I still need to accept the offer and then apply for the travel exemption. Do you think it's likely it will get approved on the basis I will be away for more than 3 months? I'm also a Colombian citizen and if I make it out of Australia I don't plan on coming back for at least two years. I've applied almost 10 times this year to go see my partner, she lives in Europe, and all of my applications have been rejected.

Hey, thank you for sharing this video. I’m temporary visa holder and currently I’m in NSW. I want to apply for inward travel exemption (short trip). I’m applying on the bases of critical illness for close family member. What documents are required??? Do I need to submit medical reports or only doctor certificate? Please suggest me. I would recommend you look at the state you want to travel to. Each state may have different requirements

You can apply for an exemption, but I very much doubt it will be approved.

You can apply through the portal, but at the moment unless you meet a criteria, it may not be approved

Hi there. My wife is a medical doctor and citizen of South Africa. We have begun our immigration process by my wife creating a profile on the AMC portal in addition to having her qualifications verified through EPIC and AMC. The next step is for my wife to write the mcq exam, however there are no writing centres in South Africa. She would preferably want to write the exam in Australia. Would exemptions on temporary visas likely be granted for this?

She could apply, but I don't believe it would be accepted in the current climate. Perhaps try again in a few months

Hello, I have applied for Travel exemption request on 10th Aug, 2021 and got approval email on 13th Aug, 2021. Now i have booked tickets for 11th Oct, 2021. Hello nick, could pls help me by suggesting on applying exemption? I’m a temporary visa from India & my occupation falls under PMSOL. My employer had applied for the exemption but got refused. Don't understand despite having occupation in PMSOL list why don’t they approve it ? On the other hand home affairs fast tracking visas of list occupations.

I think it depends on what visa they will hold. I think end of this year for certain visa holders

my partner applied for a compassionate compelling travel exemption a week ago he wants to come here from America and recent his exemption has said under consideration please is this a good thing ?? its his first application

It depends on when he is planning on coming over. Usually you should hear back within a few weeks.

@@beck340 no he is my fiance and it's his first exemption I spoke to home affairs yesterday they said it'll take 2 weeks for a reply I hope it won't get declined tell your boyfriend to apply n I hope he won't get rejected if he does tell him to keep reapplying also u can apply as well it's free Tell him to not give up I hope u guys get one couples like us shouldn't have to go through this its cruel that we can't be with our loved partner's :( I miss my fiance evreyday.
