Applying Granular Humate and Hydretain to my Lawn

Continuing my efforts to ease the summer stresses in the lawn by applying a granular humate soil conditioner that contains humic and folvic acids, as well as iron and sulfur. This product will pull moisture in the air, send it to the roots, and condition the soil. I also spot sprayed Hydretain in the already stressing areas throughout my yard. Hydretain is proven to provide moisture within the root zone of the soil, and I'm very optimistic for results.

Dang, I got a free bag of Humate with my IFA 4-step a while back and I never used it. Did put down Hydretain last weekend though. Cheers from a fellow Utahn.

Interested in seeing how your results are with the hydratain. The granular humate seems so much easier to put down than using the liquid. The lawn is looking great!

Thanks! Yes I did like putting the granular down. I also really liked the added Sulfur and Iron in the product. Got a nice color pop from it.

Anyone else eyeing up that Milo at 4:25 ? Looking forward to more updates with the humate. I just put down the granule Hydretain but it hasn't been dry enough here to notice a difference yet. Great job on the channel.

Thanks, Aaron. Most of that Milo went down on July 4! #tradition. The July 4th video I did was filmed about a week and a half after this, so you can probably look there for results. I really like the granular humate, though! Thanks so muich for watching!

Try some SLS (sodium laureth sulfate) or just plain soap on the dry areas. Much cheaper with the same result as that expensive botttle.

This time around I really wanted to hit those stressed areas. They are coming back slowly but surely. I'm planning to get another bottle and I'm going to test with some potted flowers or something. Curious to see something like that for my area.

The gallon jug of hydretain is really the way to go. The spray bottle is more expensive and apparently the bottle sucks also

Thanks so much. It's a concrete border around the garden areas. The landscape company that we hired to install our sprinklers did it for us. We just outlined where we wanted it and they put it in. It's great.

I'll have to remember to provide an update. This was filmed before my July 4th video, so if you look at that video it's pretty much the results. I did notice a color response! Got a little darker from the iron.

Should I put down Liquid humic acid /liquid soil conditioner before I put down hydretain or can they be put down at the same time and then watered in?

I noticed this is an older video however I am hoping you might reply still. I live in northern Utah with a bluegrass yard and would like to know what you thought of the humate product you used in the video?
