Now-your skin has visible dark spots in your "Big Chop" video from July 1st, yet looks flawless with no makeup in this video. I'd love to know what product has made such a drastic change in your skin in such a short time. TY
I am a singer and did this technique before a gig and it worked great! All I did was reverse the process and I used my Lancôme pressed powder. I didn't even use that much! My gig was from 9 to 1 and with nothing more than blotting off sweat from the lights and dancing I got home at 2, looked in the mirror before washing off my makeup and it looked like I could go a few more hours! I do it all the time now.
I going to definitely try this in the morning bc I have oily skin as well. Around my forehead "ESPECIALLY" ! After 6 hrs of wearing my 360 "Fit" makeup I am oily! Will get back to you and let you know the results.
I've been fascinated by this technique since I saw Jackie Aina do it. But 2 things have held me back. 1, I'm oily, which by the videos I've watched isn't a problem at all. 2, I live in Florida and the humidity here is a beast, when I think of sweat, oil and powder breaking down together, I'm a wee bit concerned. I have decided to try it when it cools off a bit. New subbie here, let's ride!

Tried this the last 2 days and I was amazed. It worked wonders - even for my terribly oily skin. The 1st time I had tried it, I did it wrong by rubbing the foundation over the powder, and it was so blotchy, so I thought, no it' DOESN'T work, so gave up on that. But as of late, I am more skilled with makeup ^_^ , so this time, I blotted the foundation on top not rub. I will be using this technique daily! It works wonders. PS, you have amazing skin. Stephanie -- you really don't need all that and that was ALOT of paint !! It's a great hack for oily skin but you are a beauty. And congrats on the natural hair -- just gorgeous!
I love this step i mainly focus on putting the powder in the oily areas and dusting it away and i love it i use it as if im baking so try that on your nose and see if it works

Flawless! I'm definitely going to try this technique. I really have oily skin with large pores and I HATE IT SO MUCH. I've tried pretty much everything and I'm praying that this works on me. GREAT TUTORIAL!
Before I knew anything about the best holding foundation I started with this technique of putting powder first and then foundation and I found out its more matte and holding much more than doing it separately!
It looks really great! Your skin always looks beautiful without the makeup, but even with the makeup on this looks like your own skin, lol. If that makes sense. 😉
Did you apply powder again after putting on your foundation and did you also use a setting spray? You look absolutely flawless even after going to the gym. I gotta know! Thank you so very much.

I do this every day. I try not put so much powder on. A lot less for me. And I do my eyes letting the powder soak in. I do use yellow powder. Not white
