What overlay material from the Deco-Crete website can be used for stamping?

At what point would you say to start stamping ? Thank you

Thanks for the comment! This is probably one of the biggest questions for stamped concrete, and it'll be a bit different depending on the type of stamps. It's also a tough thing to describe, and there are other variables as well. The best thing to do is press down on the concrete with your fingers to see what it feels like. For seamless stamps, it would be at the point when you could make 1/8"-1/4" depression in the surface with your finger. This would depend on how hard you're pushing down, so it'll be a bit different from person to person. For grout line stamps, you would want to get on it a little sooner than that. This one of those things that will require some experience to get it completely dialed in. In the beginning, just keep checking it often and work your way in to it. The most common mistake is waiting too long. Hopefully, this helps! Thanks for watching Deco-Crete TV!!!

I had a problem where my pattern was good but I could see lines where my powder release did not stick as much as the center of the mats. It looked so bad I had to tear it out. What causes that problem? Not overlaped enough?

Sorry to hear that Erick. Not overlapping enough sounds like the problem you are dealing with. If the release is the only problem, (and there isn't lines indented from the edge of the stamps) you can use a floor buffer to even out the release on those areas.
