Thanks for making this video ! Basically Calendly implemented into Google. The only feature missing for what I do is a payout integration. That would be amazing.
Brilliant video ! Your teaching style and your Video quality is superb ! the best I've seen. Love the way you show step-by-step and dont assume people already know things, you start from step 1 and go through it clearly and thoughtfully 😊😊❤❤
Great video. I'm not a teacher, just a Google avid user, but, Google being Google, I was totally lost regarding this new feature. I never tried slots so not only I got to know something about it (R.I.P. slots), but I now totally get what Time Schedules are and how they work. Really simple an clear video.👌 Kudos. (Subscribed!)
You're very welcome! There is no need to be a teacher. Whilst much of my content looks at tech from the educational technology point of view. A lot will hopefully be helpful to as many people as possible. I'm glad you found the videos helpful.
This is a brilliant tutorial, thank you so much for making it! You answered pretty much every single question I had. I'm so excited to switch over from a Zoom and Calendly combo to Google and cut down on costs!!
Hi Sethi, It was a great watch! My team and I are using Google workspace, and appointment scheduling has been a feature that we use all the time. We use Google Calendars to schedule meetings, and I can’t tell you how much it has helped. I have also been using this with several clients, and the whole process is very fuss-free and amazing. They all have been loving it so far. I share about this all the time, and I am glad that you are doing it too.
Thank you for making this tutorial! I agree that the older version looked clunky, and because of that, I had given up on it. But your tutorial convinced me to give it a second chance! I especially like the information gathering and form options you demonstrated. This would be great for parent-teacher conferences or even office hours/tutorial times.
Sethi, though I might not be a teacher (I'm student who's looking for a solution for a small business scheduling solution), I really love your mission for making nice quality-of-life technology so accessible to teachers. You've got a calm and straightforward demeanor, it's obvious you've put the research in, and you're great at revealing information incrementally! Much appreciated dude!
Thank you for this. I didn't realize this was a feature in google calendar. I was so frustrated with another scheduling app and happy to have found this!
Great overview and tutorial - thank you! I am a literacy coach and will use this to go into classroom teachers' rooms at various times and buildings I support.
Calendly still has some more advanced features that this one does not have, but its a big step in that direction and for casual users and small businesses or teachers this is ideal!
@@FlippedClassroomTutorials I tried Google Appointment Schedule, and one option that I miss is to consider more than one calendar for the availability. For example, I have the default calendar for personal events, and other calendar for timeboxing tasks. The appointment schedule doesn't allow setting multi calendar for the availability, I have to sync the timeboxing tasks calendar with the default. I didn't find any way to configure, maybe I miss something.
Hey, this is great information and exactly what I needed - for one appointment. What I need is to schedule 2 people on the same day at the same time. Is there a way we can set that up? Say for volunteers managing an office, we have 2 people managing at the same time.
It happened to me too as I was looking for a free and reliable appointment calendar and when i found this I thought this is the one but you only have 14 days trial then subscribe and pay monthly or yearly. It might be worth it though?
Great explanation as always! You always help a lot. It doesn't seem to have a rescheduling system though and limitations on how many times an specific client can schedule hours let's say in a week. Google still doing half the work. It's also missing integration with chatbot systems and payment systems
Thank you for those kinds words! I try to make my video as helpful as possible. I agree with all the above-mentioned limitations. Google likes to release products without bells and whistles(minimum viable products) tontest adoption. If they see a product in the release, they add features over time. Its like they are taking ideas from competitors and implementing parts of those companies rather than fully integrating everything. Calendly has been a long-standing standard for this type of functionality. Now Google is taking some ideas :-)
I am grateful to you for this great video. Is there a setting that allows only up to 4 people to book an appointment for each slot when we schedule appointments? I couldn't find it in the settings. If it exists, could you please assist me with this?
Do I need a "special" type of Google Calendar? I have had the same basic one for years and do not have or cannot find the Appointment Schedule feature. What am I doing wrong? Thanks so much.
Hi Sethi, great and informative tutorial, many thanks! One question though: Is there a way to accept payments from clients through google calendar? Thank you
Thank you - I gave 👍- but I don´t see on my appointments (following the tutorial) any of those options. I can switch between event or task - that´s all. Never knew there is more. So, how do I turn on my real calendar??
Hi, I have two questions: 1. Can you embed a link to your Google calendar in a website? 2. How do you share your calendar with your clients? Do you have to send them an email every time with the link or is there a way for them to directly access it. Good video. Thank you.
Thank you for this video. Easy to understand. Question: Using this to replace Acuity Scheduler... Is there a way to connect a payment processor? Thank you
If you use Calendar with a personal account, you can create a single booking page and accept unlimited appointments at no charge. More premium features require Google Workspace or Google One subscriptions.
THIS IS WHAT I NEED FROM A CALENDAR. CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND? Calendar app with scheduling that lightly encourages clients to book one day and time over another but will book other times with increasing resistance to the point where you cant or wont take the booking. like a Weekend where you really don't want to take a meeting or you're already booked for something.
Thank you Sethi, can you set a maximum number of guests/seats in a time slot , and see on the booking page how many seats have left for that time slot ?
Thank you for the great video Does it work when I'm trying to book an appointment schedule based on a few people's availability? E.g I'm in a team, and I need to create some availability schedule suitable for the team for external business partners to book. So when I'm creating the schedule, can I see the availability of my colleagues? Thanks
I'm wondering if there's a way to centralize my team's availability. For example, if a third party inquires about our availability, I'd have to confirm with my colleagues to ensure they are available within my appointment slots. Is there a method to merge our "available appointment slots" to streamline the scheduling process?
This video is great! Thank you for making it! I am curious if there is a way to do an appointment schedule that allows more than one person to agree to meet at the same meeting time (i.e. a meeting with a few people) akin to something like a Doodle poll, but within the Google Workspace calendar?
Thanks. It was a good explanation. I would like to know how can I share the Appoitment Scheduling on mi blog or Landing Pages. I'll appreciate your help.
Thanks a lot for this video! I want to use this for time slots for volunteers so I was wondering if it allows for a person to set their appointment, for example, every Tuesday. This will mean that X person will volunteer every Tuesday with us. Thanks for any help!
I don't seem to see Appointment scheduling in my settings under general. I just got google workspace, could it be because I'm on the free trial? Maybe I am on the wrong subscription? Do you happen to have an idea why I may not see this feature? Thank you!
Thanks for the video. I was looking for something like this. Didn't know about this. However, this option doesn't show up on my calendar settings. Is it not avaialble for free Google accounts? Do I need to subscribe to Google workspace?
I'm having a tough time figuring out how "PAID" clients can reschedule their appointments themselves so it is more turn key, less labor intensive from my side. Do you have any idea?
Hello Sethi, Thank you for making this video. I am looking for real time appointment schedule solution for my wife salon business. In salon business she want to share upcoming customers in order to select appointment schedule behalf of my wife Will be possible that solution ?
can you create two different type of booking calendars, for example, a booking page for VIRTUAL APPOINTMENTS and one for IN PERSON APPOINTMENTS? We want to create two diffrent links so people can pick between a virtual or in person appointment.
Very helpfull video, in my case i have 3 technicians available for daily appointments for replacing computer for company. i would select 3 as the Number of appointments per slot, is it possible ? because i check every where but i didnt found any thing.
The appointment schedule clutters my primary calendar. Is there a way to create it in a secondary calendar which I may select/deselect to make visible?
Thank you for the video can you embed the appointment scheduling calendar on a website and if you can, can students creat appointments form there? Thank you
8:06 I'm surprised they laid it out with the unavailable time slots removed, rather than just greyed out. The way they have it means that the remaining time slots don't line up horizontally across the visible days; 9am with 9am, 9:30am with 9:30am, and so on. It feels a bit disorienting when trying to find a time to schedule a meeting, especially if you're thinking, for example: _"I want a meeting at 11:00am; I wonder which days they have that time slot open on"._ Any thoughts on why they did it that way?
knowing Google they will have had both options out to test groups and the data will have shown more favourable for the removing rather than greying out. Just my thoughts based on previous Google experiments. They are definitely very much a data driven company. Hence why they randomly kill product that are not used 'enough'.
Hi thank you for this great tutorial. I need help finding the appointment scheduling function in the side bar. After I click on the settings, I do not get the same screen as you. Any suggestions?
Is there any way for a person to schedule multiple slots without having to manually fill them in separately? I'm a librarian and use this to allow teachers to schedule with me, but it's annoying to have to fill in 7 different slots per day for the same person if they are coming all day long.
Hi, dear, I can't get an appointment task in the calendar once I select the range. Can you please help me? I tried to check in settings too, not able to see the option.
Appointment scheduling is definitely still available. It has become part of the workspace for education plus and Google One subscriptions. So, if you are using any of those, you will still have access to it. support.google.com/calendar/answer/10729749?hl=en
Thanks for his. HS teacher here. For some reason students cannot book appointments on the day of the booking even when I have THE SCHEDULING WINDOW TO NOW. They must book a day in advance. I have tried everything. Is this a bug? Even when I select 1 hour minimum that appointments do shot show up on that day.
Google appointment Cal is great, but I can't use it because it sends out different time zones to different users. I have no way to lock in my time zone. Google is MIA for help, and community is no help at all.
