there isn't a huge difference gameplay wise, but Java has more features and is a lot less buggy. bedrock only advantage is the cross play, and I believe the amount of beef your pc requires
@@twinkyoctopus the cross play is good and bad, in most cases you are limited to an iPad’s controls whereas if you play on PC bedrock then you have other controls as well. So kinda unfair and broken considering it’s the same version. And on Java you are all equal on ability and have a lot more,
Didnt see this one coming, not a bad thing however, im excited to see where this series will go Edit: you have gotten the bedrock edition of minecraft, i reccomend the Java edition, it has many more features and is much more enjoyable
Well there is pros and cons to both. I think the bedrock edition is especially good for someone who has never played Minecraft before. It’s easily accessible, easier to load up and play and easier to play with friends. While Java does have better and more fun mods as well as some features like putting a banner on a shield, different red stone mechanics, and different mechanics for the wither fight, that’s really where the differences end. But for someone that has never played or knows a lot about Minecraft, the bedrock edition is much more forgiving in the early and mid game than Java I’ve found.
@@Darthvader-oc5tp it's also less buggy, but you are right that the differences are rather small compared to the similarities. I don't think that having bedrock is an advantage for a beginner though, as Java is still very popular, and I believe is the most popular pc version
@@Darthvader-oc5tp I sort of agree, as bedrock is better for learning the game as it has the tutorial list in the settings, and java is more for people who have been playing the game for a long time. or those who know how to play minecraft
I'm seeing the comments about Java vs. Bedrock, Java is more feature-filled and has a few differences. They're still working on "parity" between the two different versions. There's nothing wrong with playing either though, since they will be 98% the same. I really enjoyed seeing your reactions to some of the little "quirks" if Minecraft that we all got used to, like the trees :) Also, there are actually Monty Python reference killer bunnies, but they aren't naturally spawned, just hidden in the game code.
3:09 Any normal person: *runs away from danger by running in the opposite direction* The Roog: *runs away from danger by running straight towards it* Also, by god do I love Nodak’s laugh..
Would love to see a series of this and if willing I would even love to see a community server. possibly with a couple good mods to match with the rest of the channel just some ideas.
Build a wall around the village. Take 4 iron blocks placed in T formation, one jack o lantern on top to make an iron golem, they protect the village. More Minecraft please.
I love seeing people play Minecraft for the first time With how many years I've been playing it's easy to pick up a nothing but efficiency type of play style so it just very charming to see someone just chill and enjoy the game and do slightly stupid things like collect dandy lions for 10 minutes
Omg!! keep playing it. ❤️❤️ just looks like a stupid game at first glance but it's actually a very interesting and intricate game. It's not called the *greatest game of all time* for nothing.
I see you're not used to controls, so here's a quick breakdown: Left-click is for breaking blocks or attacking Right-click is for actions like opening doors, trading with villagers, using a crafting table Space bar is jump, WASD are movement keys Shift is to crouch, which allows you to look over the edge of a block without falling, and Ctrl is for sprinting You'll have to use a crafting table to make weapons, tools and armour, along with things like bookshelves or arrows And make a bed! Sleeping during the night stops hostile mobs from spawning, so you won't have to worry about skeletons
Yeah a couple comments have mentioned that. Microsoft didn’t really explain the differences when you buy the game, so I didn’t think anything of it. Definitely going to get the Java edition for some future videos! Thanks for watchin!
First time I ever played Minecraft I picked up a feather Not reading anything I carried it in my hand like a knife... I was just punching people with a feather
I'd also like to see this streamed on twitch so we can all give feedback on your gameplay live, but I would also love to see just overall more Minecraft
Streamed it on Monday! Definitely going to stream it again! That video needed some audio tweaking (one of the BRRRRT sound effects was WILDLY loud for some reason). It’ll be uploaded to the longplays channel soon!
Hey nodak love the video its always fun to watch you play new games because you dont do stuff so wrong that you just look like you have no brain like most youtubers but you have common sense but again love the video keep up the good content Edit: if you jump and hit when you are going down you deal more damage
Loved it thank you for sharing I would like to play Minecraft on PC I've got one for mobile . I know when it gets dark it's time to run or hide it gets crazy
Hey did have you heard of Falcon BMS? It’s like DCS, but in some ways worse some ways better. It’s a community driven FREE mode for the original Falcon 4.0 game(released 1998). Would be cool if you make a vid on it
You can get mods on Minecraft to have aircraft, tanks, guns, robots, or nukes. Whatever mod you want I’m sure it already exists for Minecraft, even as deep as 18+ mods that I can’t talk about on RU-vid.
Please do play more Minecraft. But what about doing two Minecraft series, one bedrock and one java? They have different things to bring to the table. We'll see what you'll like the best long term. :-)
