Nice shooting! I’ve never shot a mover, but it’s on my bucket list. I shoot NRL22 & I’m curious about the tripod in PRS. Can you adjust the height so that your butt pad & a bag would sit on top of it?
Yes. In previous years if you wanted to use a tripod it had to be fully collapsed and deployed on the clock. In the last year the rules were changed so that you can start with it in any configuration as long as you're holding it at the start of the stage.
I'm working on a video about the differences, but in general and in my experience it's more challenging and a bit more serious. Greater distances mean wind becomes a much bigger factor. No previously published course of fire means that you have to come up with strategy on the fly. However, this all depends on the match director and their philosophy on designing stages. I really enjoy our local PRS rimfire matches.
