Watch me catch a nice mess of Bluegills on my homemade Hair jig, tipped with a small piece of worm and then take them home, clean a couple different ways and then fry them up. They were so good!
I take the ones I catch in Wisconsin and gut them . Then fire up my pit surrounded with big stones and wait 2 hours for the stones to heat up and lay the whole fishes on the rocks and wait 20 minutes then flip them and another 10 minutes . The scales and the bones peel off in layers and is the best eating Gills you will ever eat ! The meat from the head which most miss when filleting is so sweet !
I never fillet bream. I scale them and cut the heads off and gut them. Fry them whole and eat them with hushpuppys. Makes my tongue almost slap what little bit of brains I have out 🤪🤪😂😂.

Gitter done Kendall, I just started watching your channel and love it. We live on a canal off the Withlacoochee River here in Central Florida. I just got me a 12ft 6" Ghenoe and a trolling motor, so I'm getting ready to hit the river and back waters. Thank you for all you do. Lord Bless yall!!!

Love them bluegills and just being out there on the boat or bank is better then job any day rain or shine. I grow up using a cane pole and now I have all kind of rods and reels.👍

Keep cooking em up for Dad. My Dad loved fried Speckled Trout. He taught me how to catch them, clean them and cook them. Wonderful times. I'd give anything to make one more trip to Delacroix Island with him.
Next to catfish fishing I found a lot of creeks around closet to where I lived we would dig I our worm bed for red worms and regular earth worms and go fishing with my two older sons we catch a mess of blue gills clean and cook them up for dinner ,some times we catch catfish and keep them untill we got enough for a meal thank you for shearing

Absolutely loved this video 👍 I have cleaned thousands and thousands of fish in my life, but never seen them filleted that way...seemed so easy compared to my method👊🏻 Awesome catches btw!! Thanks for another Awesome Video......
God Ken, this video brings back so many childhood memories of us kids catching big strings of bream an blue gill to take back to the house so pip's would fry them up for us. Of course we did all the catching an cleaning and he got the easy part of cooking! Hahahaha! Thanks for the video. Inspired me to think about a fishing trip to Lake Okeechobee soon next year. *Talk about some slabs in that lake!!!
Another great one! I'm 71yrs. old and have fished freshwater, mountain streams and saltwater all my life. Still catching bluegills shellcracker and redbreast in the most fun and best eating of them all. Can I get a Amen? Thanks for sharing.
You've got some beautiful waters over there.......Nice catches..... You make quick work of those gills and they looked to have turned out tasty..... Stay At'um...... Ole Chris is a cool dude.....
since I live in an apartment I like to fill my sink with water whenever I scale my fish, it keeps the scales from flying everywhere makes clean ups easier.
I find I fish about 3 foot deep with an artificial grey minow with flake and I will catch big bull break and lake runner. Usually afternoon bite provides better fish for me too. Awesome video keep it up
Grate video Kendal . I love them bull bream nothing like it always have a good time catching them . And nothing like a cold Michelob ultra with them lol 😂.
Man that was nice, you hit the jackpot! I went fishing for bluegills last night and only caught two using worms... looks like I’ll be going jig shopping this evening
Oh man....another tongue slap you brains out mouth waterin episode. It's 4/06/21 now. Tomorrow the wife and I are gonna get ourselves a mess of bream. Dadgum my mouth is salivating!
Just saw your video big bluegill are delicious me and my Daddy's favorite fried potatoes and onions garden tomatoes ice tea desert homemade ice cream 🍦😋
Oh I noticed you put a spinning reel on a fly rod Nice to see someone else do tha I have done it for years especially for small trout keep the videos coming
Looked like a ton of fun catching all those gills. I never understood the process of cutting into the sides of on the ones you left whole. To me it just makes dealing with the bones harder. Again a great video and lots of fun im sure.
Thanks Sam ! I had a blast catching them.! I like to put cuts in mine, the seasoning gets the fish so much better . I appreciate you watching and commenting. Have a good day brother!
Just found your videos love especially the catch clean and cook Have had a little Cajun cooking but I swear you could make a skunk edible with onions bell peppers rice and the right spices
