Your Mum did a great job on the pen roll. Maybe a new business venture - the Aussie version of a Rickshaw Pen Coozy? I feel your pain with the scratched pen. So depressing when that happens. There are some great looking leather pen cases out there, but I always worry about scratching the pens on the steel zip in a moment of inattention. So I limit myself to ones with plastic zips. Not as big a range, and not as aesthetic as the steel zip look, but there’s a few nice ones.
If you happen to come to our local pen meet, we can check out your Sailor pen to see if it needs adjustment. Usually if it's ripping up the paper, it's too much pressure on the nib tip. But that's not always the case. There are also quite a few people who enjoy flex nibbed fountain pens. My favourite is the Pilot FA nib, but a few people have gotten their pens custom ground for fun. It's a nice way to try it out in Australia without the time commitment if you're not sure if you like them. Love the colour palette you have. I have the opposite issue of not being able to commit to a single colour. I often get cravings for a new colour, and will surprise myself with what colour I choose next. It's highly mood dependent. There's not a way to really use the pens you don't gravitate to most. It depends on your preferences. Sometimes you can put your favourite ink in the less desired pens (but you have a monochrome palette, so that's not really an easy fix). I personally put my pens into "rotation", or dedicate certain pens for certain uses. That way they get used. In terms of inks you may enjoy, I really liked Diamine Willow as a lovely tan colour but quite pastel. You may already have it? It's an ink I love to use for sketching, but I've been trying to get a taste of my lesser used inks recently and forcing myself to explore the more saturated colours for the past few months.

Absolutely love all your choices! Brown inks are my favorites also. I have one Platinum 3776 in Laurel Green and I love it. Definitely would like to collect more! Also wanted to say the pen case your Mum made is beautiful! Should keep your pens scratch free!!

While you and Charmaine are the Platinum girlies, I’m the sailor girlie! XD my one platinum fine writes way too fine…but your fines write very nicely and a bit thicker than how mine looks. I wonder if I got one with very tight tines. So the rest of my platinums will be medium XD you really love your browns!!! But it’s a whole mood and a whole aesthetic, so it’s gorgeous! I think if I were to use a brown ink, I want it to lean red orange! And dusty pinks leaning brown! Lovely set of browns though ^_^
Hahaha thats amazing!! I love that for you!! And I'm totes obsessed with Charmaines pink style too. If you could choose ONE Sailor, which one would it be? (I dont think I could choose one Platinum though haha) Theres so many different browns inks that I love, I m unsure If i could choose a fave there either haha! Do you have a fave ink colour? :)
@@AestheticPaperCo My fave ink colors are all in the bright teals - green and blue teals over turquoises since in the ink world, turquoises are basically a darker sky blue. I love me a very green blue. Then secondly - dusty pinks and warm autumn toned muted browney oranges/reds (Red Fox or Alpha Taurus). I'm definitely the opposite of you - I'm all color hahaha! But I really do appreciate and would love to explore the neutral brown aesthetics, too. My Aurora pen is my most neutral pen and it's my absolute favorite and I like to pair it with the autumn toned colors I mentioned and I think dusty pinks would go well in it too. Obviously, any beautiful brown will also fit it to a tea, as well! But for Sailor - If I had to just take one and only one, it would be my Kubozakura - the lovely soft pink ^_^ it is on par with that Platinum Sakura celluloid.
I love FWP Oyster Hour and use it in my Platinum 3776 in Tortoise. I love that pen so much! I also have the Estie in Winter White with an EFF nib. I’m really enjoying it. This was a great lineup.
