I am amazed at how popular Bible reviews are compared to doing deep dives into Scripture. I've been going back and watching your videos on specific books of the Bible. They are great! It is good to hear your opinions about newly published Bibles, but I prefer it when you share your Bible and theology knowledge with us. Those are my favorite videos. Your viewer who asked about notetaking systems could check out Jonathan Edward's system. I don't use it, but I know several people who do.

it was nice to rewatch, I had forgotten some of the great discussions.

I asked about the dating of books 4:20 . I should have phrased the second half of the question better. For anyone wondering, it's not that interpretation of Revelation changes but I know one of the popular views (Preterist) basically falls if the date is much later in time than the 60s AD.

At 1:35 , you gave a good answer to the question of not accepting certain books of the Bible as being canonical, and whether or not someone could be truly Christian. Nevertheless, there are quite a number of progressive Christian scholars who are content to say that Paul never wrote the pastoral letters: 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, and Titus; meaning that this simply was not a secretary employed by Paul responsible for those letters, but rather someone some time after Paul's death using Paul's name in order to present teaching that significantly modifies what Paul the apostle really taught. Such scholars, or even lay persons, may not feel comfortable with the terminology of "forgery" to be applied to those three letters, but for all practical purposes, this is exactly what is meant.

I agree. Rejection of Pauline authorship is problematic though if they still consider the epistles to be inspired I wouldn't say they aren't a Christian.

I really appreciate these edited videos questions and answers. Many of the questions are ones that I have. The question and comments about accepting or not books or parts of the same made me wonder about verses that are often identified as added later. My study bibles make comments on them, but I've been told they fit with the theme regardless. One example is the snake handling verse. Mk 16:17-18

The one who wants to reject "books or parts of books" probably wants to reject Genesis 1-11, the exodus account, and some other stories they find too incredible to believe. But still supposedly believe in a man who rose from the dead.

Shucks, I've got to work. I'll have to catch it afterwards. Please enter my name for any drawings. (J/K) (I'm definitely interested in hearing what you have to say about idioms, and if you have any particular books you recommend in that regard. The only one that comes to mind is the Bullinger one.)

Ooooooh, ok. LOL I absolutely love the live streams. It feels very communal, and I learn a lot. Thank you for answering my question regarding heresy hunters. It sounds like we're on the same page regarding that. I definitely believe that error should be called out, but when that's ALL someone does in their ministry, it seems kind of odd/creepy, and makes me question their intentions and ministry. 😕

Martin Luther rejected James and Revelation, was Luthernot a believer?

He actually came around on both, if you read his later edition of the text. Whether he was a Christian or not is up to the Lord (given the final work he wrote before his death about killing Jews, I just hope he repented of such evil before meeting Jesus face to face).
