Hi Catherine! I think I'll need to lightly fertilize my lawn this April as you recommended for those of us who didn't fertilize in October. Would you recommend fertilizing before or after aerating?

neversaymichele I would go ahead and lightly fertilize now so that you get some nutrients to your grass. That way you'll space it out a bit from your May fertilization. If it happens to coincide with aeration, that's not a problem. The only effect will be that some of the fertilizer will drop down into the holes. If aeration is happening within a few days, you can fertilize afterward. Great question!
